Workout #21413: Legs/Shoulders // #workout #timferris #minimumeffectivedose #exercie #fitness #wellness #coach #fitnesscoach #Wellnesscoach
Workout: Legs/Shoulders I wanted to get in and out the gym tonight because my shows are on tonight and I like to watch them live: Person of Interest, Suits, and Elementary in that order of course I am using Dual Tuner Tivo to record Suits and Elementary because there on at the same time. So I wanted to do a MED or Minimum Effective Dose or HIT workout (a la Ellington Darden, Mike Mentzer or Aurther Jones of Nautilus), so I here from end to end I spent 45 at the gym as follows 5min to change, 10m warmup, 20m weights, 5m to leave: MED Workout: 1 set of high intensity 10m recumbant bike warmup 20m weights - Leg Press: 4/45x50X1 - DB-Deadlift & Press (Like a Clean-n-Jerk): 60X8X1 (Kneel down and grab two dumbbells and stand straight using only your legs and hips and nothing else [don't let your back into this] and as you stand up you are going to hammer curl the weights to shoulder height and catch the dummbbells on the shoulder and squat down into a half/full squat and then explode up press the weights up - Google youtube for dumbbell clean-n-jerk) - Curls ss/w Machine Dips dropsets: 115X8/250X8, 95X8/150X10, 45X21/150X10 (A dropset is where you perform an exercise at a certain weight to exhaustion then drop the weight (poundage) to a lesser weight and do another set immediately and keep repeating for 3-4 cycles or until exhaustion which I don't recommend) That's it my friends finished in 20minutes and the arms were swole too... I normally don't promote like this but the information presented by Sean Croxton of Underground Wellness is fantastic… In less than half a century food has gone from homemade and simple to one of the most confusing, complicated, and divisive topics. Unfortunately Sunday was the last day to listen to the Real Food Summit (RWS). If you’re a fan of real food and want to learn from the industry's best and brightest you can pick up Real Food Summit (RWS) hosted by Sean Croxton of Underground Wellness: 27 video/audio presentations PLUS bonuses - for an event-week-only low price of ONLY $99! Because food doesn't have to be as complicated as we make it. Link: http://bit.ly/Mrj6aR

Share | Like | Motivate Eat Clean Diet tip: This one can't be overstated enough - Break The Fast or Breakfast! After 5 to 8 hours of sleep the body needs sustenance and nutrients right away. Eating breakfast gets the body and brain going setting the tone for optimal performance for the day. ECD recommends oatmeal which is better than nothing but I recommend adding a pinch of protein powder to the oats if you decide to go that route. Otherwise, I recommend 3-eggs with some type of small fruit (apple/banana) or fruit cup (berries). Eggs have the highest BV (biological value) of any protein and will give you the sensation of being fuller longer. Country Strong a love story masquerading as a drama or vice-versa, I would rate the movie solid 3/5 and the soundtrack 4/5, the storyline irritated me from the get go with the husband played by Tim McGraw taking his wife (Gwyneth Paltrow) out of rehab before she's ready and this sets the backdrop for the movie and also leaves a lot of questions which never quite get answered. I did like the soundtrack which was performed by the actor/actresses themselves remarkably and I am thinking about buying it, it that good... Movie - Country Strong A rising country-music songwriter works with a fallen star to work their way fame, causing romantic complications along the way. Director: Shana Feste Writer: Shana Feste Stars: Garrett Hedlund, Gwyneth Paltrow and Leighton Meester Links: IMDB: http://ping.fm/cgnww Soundtrack MP3: http://amzn.to/iL1sdn DVD: http://amzn.to/kNWNKz

Wed itinerary, Movies: Here & The Details; Sundance Channel Lounge, & Music Cafe. Read the synopsis for both movies by hitting up the link below. Sundance Channel Lounge was awesome: free mixed drinks, milk and cookies, schwag and more. The Music Cafe featured: Secret sisters and St. Vincent as up in comers, and Matt Nathanson headlined the set and he had a good set and was funny too, an excellent entertainer, I might check into his music further....

Wellness tip: If you trying to lose weight and you can't seem to synch diet and exercise, focus your efforts on the diet as can't out train a poor diet and weight-loss is about calories consumed and burned plus food has an additive medicinal effect too but combining the two is the best for weight-loss. Diet is 80% of the equation....if you work out hard, but eat junk then you won't see results :( You can eat great and not work out so much and get results. But when the 2 are combined then you'll really see results. Weight Watchers has a good program that includes support, to lose weight most people will need not only to decrease calories but the community support in staying committed and consistent in weight-loss endeavors...

Wellness Tip: Sinister Soda, According to a study in Epidemiology et al, drinking 2 or more sodas a week can increase your chance of pancreatic cancer by 87% by repeatedly spiking insulin levels which is thought to promote cancer in pancreatic cells... Drink H2O instead.....

200 calories are burned by a half hour of rearranging furniture. Another reason to give the sofa a heave: Once you have altered the layout of the of your living room so that the focus is on the people in it, not on the television, it will be easier to avoid couch potato syndrome....

Lessons learned at Disney this weekend: bring plenty of patience, water, snacks, tennis shoes (no sandals), a backpack to store water, snacks, extra shirt (in case you sweat through the first, maybe some deodorant), camera (not the camera from your mobile phone either)
