I'm in Deltahub!! (plus a status update)

Hey guys, Dragon8er here!

And recently, I decided to join @the-deltahub-official and entered the Roleplay there. Instead of joining with canon Mono however, I decided to Roleplay with an Alternate Version of Mono called Seere!Sans.

Basically, it's a version of Mono that never met Royelle and the Goober Gang, and thus never gained a positive circle of friends to help him deal with the grief of losing his home and family.

I went through a couple different designs for him. Overall I really wanted to go for a very chill, almost sleepy vibe for his design. So in this first draft, I gave him a fluffy coat, loose shirt and pants, and some fluffy slippers.

Was probably subconsciously inspired by Slumbertale Sans, honestly lol. And I also just didn't vibe with the jacket. So I tried this. More of a winter-clothing look, with the coat and scarf.

But I had realized here that I just didn't really wanna give him a jacket at all, so I ditched it in the final design and went for something way more casual.

I also designed a Dark World form for him.

Which I had actually designed first, since it was technically just a Dark World design for regular Mono. but I repurposed it for Seere and for Deltahub. At least for now lol.

And this design was even harder. :skull:

I really struggled with a direction for this design beyond just the idea that I wanted him to be a Necromancer.

I liked this second attempt way more, as you can tell with the fact that it's colored, but I still felt like it was too simple. And just overall I wasn't really vibing with it.

Luckily though, I settled on a final design for it.

And now I'm in Deltahub! I actually also made some more stuff for Deltahub, which I will be posting soon.

But before then, I also wanted to give a quick Status Update regarding the blog.

As you likely noticed, there were no Asks last weekend. Unfortunately, I was too busy dogsitting for my brother and just didn't have the time for doing those.

And I also won't be doing those this week.

But that's because Monday...

Is Noir's Birthday!

So to celebrate, she'll be taking over the blog again. Which, let's be real, isn't really a surprise lol.

So be sure to send them some asks!

Happy Birthday, Dreward!!

Hey guys, Dragon8er here!

I made this little piece for Dreward's birthday a couple days ago (yes I'm late, this took a while :skull: ). Dreward is from Cojoswap, and is created by my friend @cojo102.

And since his birthday was the same day as the July 2025 Pokémon Presents, I decided to make the piece Pokémon-themed. After all, Cojo had coincidentally picked out a Pokémon team for Dreward around the time.

So really, it was perfect.

I had a lot of fun with this! Even if it took forever, holy shit. I really need to draw Pokémon more. It's so much fun.

Happy Birthday, Aurora!!

Hey guys, Dragon8er here. It was my friend @aurora-borealie's birthday recently, and so I made some funni little doodles of her daughter Chloe from @pacifideundertaleau interacting with other members of the Goober Gang.

Well okay this was actually a while ago but I never posted these here and I thought I may as well lol.

First one was a doodle of a gag that my friend Nova generated with an Incorrect Quotes website lol. It was funny so I decided to draw it.

This next one was my idea and I just had to make it a reality.

Now that a little time has passed, I thought I'd talk about my work on Deltarune Chapters 3 & 4!

While Chapter 2 released in September of 2021, I actually started work on Chapter 3 a couple months before. My main responsibility for 3 was Mr. Tenna's Marvelous Mystery Board. We did a lot of iteration before landing on having full control over the player and being able to explore all of the Desert Board and Kodakoda Island. Making a game within a game with characters in the game above that game talking to each other and reacting and controlling their players was a hell of a challenge, but I think we pulled it off. I wonder what the world record for the Lawnmower game is.

I was also responsible for a bunch of the Teevie World overworld sections, one of my favorite being the stealth section where you make inadvertantly make friends, and also get to meet Goulden Son. I'm so glad Toby decided moving slow sucked, it made the stealth more of a rhythmic running section than a plodding Metal Gear segment.

For Chapter 4 I was primarily responsible for the first and second versions of the dark world, and some of the third. After all the wild stuff we did in 3, it was a joy to climb back into the comforting arms of making Deltarune's overworld sections. I learned a lot while working on it, improving my workflow and finding new ways to make cool stuff. The Chapter 4 dark world also got a lot of iteration, making sure it was fun to explore and well-paced. I think we all nailed it.

The last four years have been a lot. I lost both of my parents, we came out of a pandemic, and the internet has become an even more divisive and miserable place. I'm so thankful that during these difficult years I've gotten the opportunity to contribute to something that has brought so many people so much joy, and I look forward to spending more time doing the same.
