Ben Odell (Bill Skarsgard) was born on October 3rd, 1993, and work as a musician/waiter. They use He/Him pronouns and live in the Fenway-Kenmore Apartment Complex, but they originate from Elizabeth, New Jersey.

Benjamin Odell, better known as just Ben, has always had trouble following him. Ever since he was a little boy he try to eat his toys, or paint the walls with finger paints. His parents had a hard time keeping up with him, and his two other siblings. Most would say his family was pretty normal, they went to church on sundays, had a family dinner every night, the kids went to public schools, and the parents worked 9 to 5 jobs. Around his fourteenth birthday Benjamin decided he would be called just Ben, and started to act out.

Ben would start fights with his classmates just because he could, and would bum cigarettes off his older friends. As the rest of his family arrived home from church, he would be coming home from whatever party he went to on Saturday night. This was his idea of a good life.

As a freshman in high school, Ben started to befriend some of his older classmates, and he started to notice women. One girl in particular always caught his attention. Her name was Heather. She had deep blue eyes, red hair, and a passion for music. In order to get her attention Ben joined his school’s band. He signed up to play percussion because it seemed cool. He was really bad at first, but soon he would get the hang of it. After beating some drums for a few months, music became something he was very passionate about, getting his crush’s attention was also an extra perk.

Once he gained enough confidence he asked Heather out, and she agreed to a date. The first date was successful, and in a few months the two became an inseparable pair. It was a classic good girl goes for the bad guy situation. She would watch him get into fist fights, and he would clean up when he was invited to dinner with her family.

As freshman year ended, and summer started Ben found a lot of free time on his hands. Ideally, he wanted to spend time with his girlfriend Heather, but her family decided to send her to band camp for the summer. Ben spent most of that summer with his friends.

During a hot July night he was invited to  party thrown by a couple of upperclassmen. Before this Ben only smoked a few cigarettes a day, but now he was exposed to booze and an assortment of drugs. He had a couple of beers and a few hits from a joint, and stayed away from some of the harder drugs his friends were doing. As he went to more of these parties he became more adventurous.

When Heather returned home from band camp, they spent the entire week together, and started bringing her to his summer parties. By the end of the night he would be completely inebriated from whatever he chose to do that night, and Heather would have to make sure he got home in one piece. Once school started again, the parties seemed to simmer down, and started to focus on his music again.

Ben and Heather were a strong couple for all of high school, until the end of senior year. Heather was going to college, and Ben was not. Heather broke things off, the week before she left. Ben wasn’t expecting the redhead to break up with him, it hit him like a truck. The fall after graduation was hard, he started drinking more, and hooked up with whomever he could. Ben was starting to fall off the edge, and was simply waiting for the last thing to push him over.

Sometime that fall one of Ben’s friends from high school invited him to a college party, the same college Heather was attending, reluctantly Ben agreed to go, he knew Heather didn’t enjoy parties, however college changed her. When he arrived she was there with a few friends, she was tipsy and bouncing around greeting every familiar face. He wasn’t sure he would be able to handle talking to her again, so he hid outside in the cold, with a beer and a pack of cigarettes. When he went inside for another beer he saw Heather and made brief eye contact with her. She came over and started to yell at him for coming, and all he could do was stand there paralyzed as he took the heat, and if that wasn’t enough, after her rant she ran over to her new boyfriend and began to make out with him. Infuriated and a little tipsy he threw a few a few fists at her new boyfriend. Ben didn’t get anything out of the fight except for a bloody nose, and a black eye.

Ben grabbed his beer and returned outside, this was the only place at the party where he could be alone, and sob. After going through a entire pack of cigarettes, he drank to the point of blacking out. Ben never went back to that college every again.

When Ben was 20 his older sister, Courtney, was engaged to her long term boyfriend. Ben was happy to see her be with someone she loved, but he always felt off about her fiance. One day when they were visiting, they had the house to themselves. Ben walked into one of their fights, they were both yelling at full volume, and didn’t notice Ben coming home. He didn’t think much of the fight until he heard a thud, and his sister screaming. Thanks to his quick thinking, Ben found his younger brother’s baseball bat and started hitting the older man with it until he eventually left. Ben dropped the bat, apologized, and left the house for a few days. He rented a motel room. He got his hands on whatever drugs he could find and nearly overdosed. The only thing he remembers that night was calling Heather. She drove from her university to bring him to the emergency room, and skipped her classes to be with him that day. He was able to leave the hospital within a few days. Right after that he went on another bender.

Ben’s early twenties were filled with booze, drugs, and sex. He slept with women and men, but never formed any actual relationships with them, he couldn’t after Heather, even years after they broke up. When he wasn’t drunk or high, he spent his time focusing on his music. He was able to write a few pieces by himself, but he knew he wouldn’t be able to do it stuck at home, so he moved out of his home with money he had saved up from his assortment of part time jobs and moved to Boston.

Now, Ben hasn’t kicked any of his bad habits, and he still thinks of Heather from time to time, but for now his focus is on music. He lives in his apartment with one cat he rescued, when he was able to gather the finances for one.

Taylor Byrne (Louis Tomlinson) was born on June 19th, 1993, and work as a musician/guitar teacher. They use He/Him pronouns and live in the Fenway-Kenmore Apartment Complex, but they originate from West Bridgewater, Massachusetts.

Biography

Taylor Finnegan Byrne was born on a sweltering hot June evening in West Bridgewater, Massachusetts, which is about an hour-ish south of Boston. Growing up, he was pretty average in every sense of the word. He lived with his parents, Mark and Lorraine, and his older sister Colleen (as you may guess, they have some very strong Irish roots) in a decent neighborhood. He was a good student, not fantastic but not a slacker, and decently athletic, though he wasn't about to go joining any high school sports teams.

Maybe it was because his life was so unremarkable, but he had this need to "discover his passion". It seemed like all his friends were finding theirs—one friend was on track to play basketball in college and another's art been shown in her parents’ gallery. So what was his "thing"?

September 20, 2004 was when his life changed. Green Day released American Idiot and he knew, as he listened to it on his portable CD player in his room, that this was it. This was the music he wanted to make. It was the first album he really truly loved with his entire heart and soul, and the next year, when Bullet in a Bible came out, it was cemented. He wanted to be these singers he idolized. He wanted to be Billie Joe Armstrong, he wanted to be Patrick Atump, he wanted to be Tom Delonge, he wanted to be Alex Gaskarth. (Separately, this is when he realized he liked boys. While all his friends were in love with Paramore lead singer Hayley Williams, Taylor was all hearteyes over Zac Farro.)

So as he got older, he learned guitar and tried to write lyrics, and everyone told him he was pretty good, so he got in in his head that he was gonna leave this suburban town in the dust. As soon as he graduated high school he moved himself to…Boston. He didn't have the patience for college, so got jobs selling tickets at the House of Blues and Brighton Music Hall, listening to the bands muffled through the walls, dreaming that one day he’ll be the one on that stage. He linked up with a couple of guys from Berklee College of Music and started himself his first band. The Berklee kids had all kinds of connections and equipment that Taylor only dreamed of, so next thing he knew, the four of them were laying down tracks in the studio, music that he wrote and that other people like. They named themselves Points Home and Taylor went out and for a tattoo to commemorate it.

It's tough out there, even when you're good—they paid their dues, playing house shows and college gigs and whatever they can get, and eventually they get a small record deal through Emerson College’s record label. It wasn't huge, but it was enough to cut a more professional EP and make some music videos. With that support, and the attention they received over the next years, they decided to take the plunge and move out to Los Angeles for their big break.

It went much better than they expected. They had wrapped up a show one night when a talent scout approached them and said he wanted to take their EP to his bosses. Several mountains of paperwork later, they got themselves a record deal and Taylor felt like he was on cloud nine. Finally, he was living the dream he'd held in his heart since he was a teenager. They put out three full albums, played small stages on Warped Tour a few times, and did some touring in small venues around the country. Taylor even found love—with the bassist.

Spring 2019 was when things began to fall apart. The drummer had been distant for a while, but it was still a shock when he announced his departure. The group splintered from there and declared an ‘indefinite hiatus,' which was code for, "We're never getting back together but admitting it is too painful." Taylor and the bassist moved in together for a while, but just before Christmas, the bassist broke up with him.

Taylor refused to go home. Going home meant he’d prove everyone who said he couldn’t make it right, and he wasn’t going to do that. He fucked around, literally, for the next couple of months, and spent the rest of his time writing and writing and busking by himself. He got reckless with strings of hookups and drinking and drugs. He just wanted to feel alive because his band was the only thing that gave him life and suddenly it was gone.

But after a few months of floundering, he swallowed his pride, moved back to Boston, and decided to pursue a solo career. He’s blown the dust off his old youtube channel and started posting covers, and gotten back into writing again. While he's hard at work, he's also begun giving guitar lessons. There's something rewarding about seeing the music that moved him touch someone else. Is this the existence he imagined? No, but it's still early. He's 28, after all, with the world ahead of him. He'll make it on his own time.

Opal Lake (Madelaine Petsch) was born on March 16th, 1998, and runs the local independent Art Gallery. They use They/Them pronouns and live in the Fenway-Kenmore Apartment Complex, but they originate from Cardiff, Wales.

Opal Lake, gallery owner, art therapy volunteer, dog parent. Opal worked their way up to own their own gallery through hard work and passion for what they do; saving the world person at a time. Opal has experienced darkness within this world, they have looked death and evil in the eyes and spat back at them. And wishes for no one else to do the same. So, through the medium of art, they teach others how to use the parts of them they don’t like, or the parts of them that people abused or mistreated, and turn it into colour and expression. How to get it out and scream at the world “Fuck you! You can’t get me!” Many people have found solace and hope in Opals methods, and it is things like that which shine light in the darkness that can be their psyche.

In regards of looks, Opal is 5’4 and chubby. Some people would describe them as curvy, but Opal hates their stomach and stretch marks and thighs. But, they know if they were born in the Renaissance period, they’d be the epitome of beauty. So, screw society. Opal has red curly hair, about a billion freckles, and forest green eyes. Their skin is pale, with red undertones. They also burn very easily, so is often red anyway. They have 17 tattoos so far, which are:

A mushroom, jellyfish, a small duck with a knife, a smiley face, the sun and a few planets, a bird skull, and a sunflower is on their left arm. The anarchy symbol and the peace symbol, a 3d grim reaper, a fox, a pyramid is on their right arm. They also have two large portraits of fantasy elven woman, one on each thigh, in black and white. Their back is covered in a forest scene in the mountains, with a small cabin and lake near their tailbone. On their ankle is a tally chart signifying years they’ve been self harm free, which is currently at four. On their calves, they have a portrait of a cat and a dog, both of whom passed away after many long years spent with Opal as a child.

Personality wise, Opal is a fierce lover and fighter. They will stand up for their definition of good, with a stubborn tendency to never back down until their definition of justice is served. This unfortunately gets them into a lot of fights, but, they consider it worth it. Deep down, Opal is a hopeless romantic, but hasn’t ever quite found the right partner, they’ve just had a string of broken hearts in their wake from friends with benefits. They have standards for themselves, and after-all, not just any fuck will do. They connect with their mind and soul during intercourse, of course, but to connect with someone on an emotionally deep and intense level, now that would be the dream for Opal. To change the world while holding their partners hand high in the air. Opal considers themselves non-binary, and queer.

In regards to mental trauma,  Opal has been through a lot. They grew up in an incredibly abusive household, witnessing their father abuse their mother and vice versa, being abused by their father emotionally, and their brother. Opal has been raped in an abusive relationship, and their brains way of dealing with it is through a personality disorder called Emotional Intensity Disorder, as well as psychosis in terms of hallucinations and multiple personalities.

One of Opals personalities is called Jade, who is a scared, vulnerable, terrified person who just wants to hide from the world. The other is Onyx, everything dark and cruel about Opal and their response to being hurt so badly by those who were meant to care for them.
