going from strictly playing hogwarts legacy to then wizard101 is so jarring. like wdym I can’t walk through the plants?

throwback to when i saw cursed child in chicago (these are actually two separate occasions. i went first with my parents and then again with my friends). i had to look away at times (from the secondhand embarrassment i got from some of the acting), but the effects were incredible.

i've wanted to see this show for years! now, i just have to visit london to see it's full-length version. although, i fear i've grown attached to the two actors who lead these two performances...

being my first time playing since the update, i had to play around with the new mod system. i will miss my old mods (especially visual), but i think i was able to replicate what i liked most about them.

these photos are with the new mods (which should not have taken me as long as they did to figure out) and my pfp is the old version. 🍻

hey guys, so i recognize that i haven't been active in a hot minute. unfortunately, i've lost a lot of my passion for mass reading fanfiction. furthermore, with uni, my time is limited. i'm currently more active on a secondary blog of mine @breadnbutterbeer where i'm focusing more on harry potter-related content. if i rediscover my passion for taekook content and/or find the time to continue this page, i will. believe me, i have a million drafts waiting to be posted from over the years.

i visited the new harry potter store in chicago this past weekend!

pros:

so immersive-feeling. felt like i was in universal again.

soooo much merch!

the ice cream was so delicious. my bf and i didn't buy any but this sweet worker gave us one that no one claimed so it didn't go to waste. absolutely delicious 10/10.

all the workers were so sweet.

the working mechanics were so cool! "flying" books, bertie botts wall with an interactive button, etc...

cons:

too crowded. we had to join an online queue and wait an hour to get inside.

maybe their recipe is different or i'm just not into it like i thought i would be, but their butter beer was not it...

the happee birthdae harry cake was so bad, like barely-edible bad. it was so dense and the frosting tasted like nothing. at least it looked cute.

the merch wasn't anything different than what they have at universal. it was a cool experience, but i wish they featured more exclusive merch (that wasn't a print totaling to $200+).

not enough seating. luckily, my bf and i were able to snag a table when we got our food, but so many people were just standing around the edges of the food area because there was no one to sit.

all in all, cute experience, but i wouldn't go again until the novelty of it wears off and it gets less crowded. 📜🦉

OH MY GOD. this is only the second scorbus fic i've read so far, but i already know this'll be a favorite for a while. wow, just wow. every character was written so well and accurately. i'm such a sucker for slow-burn, canon-compliant fics. 🍺 9.8/10 butterbeers
