What happened to the Four Friends

The friends left Billy Chastain’s house on October 9,2022 around 8pm.  

Investigators was told by a witness who had been invited to join the men to “hit a lick big enough for them all’. 

Based off that information investigators were led to believe  

That the men were planning on committing some kind of crime.  

The investigators don’t know where they were going to commit the crime or what the crime was.  

On Friday October 14,2022 a passerby reported something in the water. That report led investigators to find the remains of all 4 friends by the end of the weekend. The men were found with gunshot wounds and had been dismembered. On the following Monday a man named Joe Kennedy. When Kennedy spoke to police, he seemed to be cooperative. After being questioned he fled to Daytona, Florida, where he was arrested on grand theft charges. Kennedy’s blue PT Cruiser behind a business in Morris, Oklahoma, about 6 miles east of Okmulgee.  

Kennedy is being held without bail at the Volusia County Jail. Volusia records show he was in custody on Tuesday without bond on suspicion of grand theft and 2 counts of being a fugitive from justice. 

“The DA and Sheriff will begin the process of getting Kennedy back to Okmulgee County,” Prentice said. “The murder investigation is still going.” 

The Four Friends were last seen riding their bikes on October 9. Bikes weren’t found. Location tracking data shows they had visited 2 different salvage yards before Mark’s phone went off. 

Now, you are probably asking why was Joe Kennedy is a person of interest and the investigators are not commenting on it, but my theory is because Kennedy owned 2 scrapyards that the 4 Friends had visited. A warrant was issued for his arrest in relation to a 2012 shooting case. No charges have yet been filed in the recent deaths. 

When police searched a scrapyard on 20th street that Kennedy owned near the scene where the Four Friends were found. They also found “evidence of a violent event on the adjoining property. "A number of items were recovered from the scene of the crime that may or may not be related in “an abundance of caution.”

History on the Four Friends Pt. 2

Alexray Jeffery Stevens was born on January 19, 1993. He was born to his Father Rickey Stevens and Mother Teresa (Clause) Stevens. He lived in Okmulgee. He worked at Highland Park Healthcare as a Dietary Aide. He liked skateboarding, playing pool, going to concerts, carnivals & spending time with family. He struggled with depression after his separation and drug addiction.

Mikel T. Sparks was born on January 8, 1990. He was born to Father Jerry L. Sparks Jr. and Mother Karen (McClain) Sparks. Mike grew up in Stringtown then moved to Okmulgee where he attended Morris High School where he played football. Mike was a cook at a local restaurant. He liked to fish and ride his bike. Most of all he loved spending time with his kids. He left behind his children Brooklyn, Sariah, and Jerry Sparks

History of the Four Friends

Before telling their tragic story, why don't we get to know our Four Friends a little bit. They all grew up together in Okmulgee, OK.

Let's start with the two brothers Mark and Billy Chastain.

Mark Anothony Chastain was born on August 7, 1990. He was born to Father Billy Gene Smith Jr. and Mother Monnie Alice Chastain-Smith in Okmulgee. Mark loved nothing more than spending time with his family and dog Chibon. Mark left behind his wife Jessica Chastain and children Tucker & Gracey Chastain.

Billy Jack (BJ) Chastain-Smith was born on November 4, 1991. He was born to Father Billy Gene Smith Jr. and Mother Monnie Alice CHastain-Smith in Okmulgee. Billy was also Mark's Brother. Billy was a handyman. He worked for R&S Collision. Billy left behind the love of his life Megan Gordon and children Royt & Heavenly Chastain and Tyson & Emery Bible.

The Four Friends that Disappeared

So, I couldn't find any secrets on my little town atleast not yet but, I will keep looking and see if I find anything. I did however find another story that happened in our beautiful state of Oklahoma. Four friends that grew up together in a little town of Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Four friends who eventually saw their end laying in the Deep Fork River dismembered after have been missing for a few days. Who was these men and what happened to them. The names of these men were Mark Chastain, Billy Chastain, Alex Stevens, and MIke Sparks. In the next few post we will be exploring who these men really was and what happened that lead to them being found in the river. The four friends disappeared on October 14th 2022. Days later all four men were found in a river in Oklahoma. They was dismembered. Now their families and friends are struggling with a grim history. What happened in the hours before the men vanished and who did it?

The Back Story of Ringold, Oklahoma

Does Ringold have any dark secrets and what could they be?

well, first let's start with some basic everyday history about the town.

Ringold is an unincorported community. It was formerly called Burwell. Untied States Post Office opened at Burwell(ringold), Indian Territory on October 31st 1906. It was named for William P. Burwell, the towns first postmaster. the name was changed to RIngold on May 10th 1911, after Oklahoma was admitted as a state. the community was named after Ringold,Texas. Frome which a number of its early european-americian settlers migrated.

Until advent of Oklahoma's statehood, Burwell was located in Cedar County, Choctaw Nation, Indian Territory. In contrast to Burwell/Ringold, some other communities in the area such as Rattan are now included in Pushmataha County.

I've been watching the show Riverdale. It got me thinking about other little towns and what secrets they hide. I live in a small town myself and I wonder if there are any secrets hidden or buried here?
