Chapters Three and Four: locked, mixed, scored, colored… Volume One is DONE.

“The Turnbow Trap” is the most classic Stranger Things-y episode of the season. It’s got all our favorite things. Directed by one of our idols Frank Darabont (Shawshank! Green Mile! Walking Dead!) — who literally came out of retirement for this. He crushed it, obviously.

“Sorcerer” is MASSIVE — as big as any finale we’ve ever done, and the most logistically insane shoot of our lives. We’re still recovering.

it's so telling that Steve is the clear favorite amongst the GA (especially the toxic ones). in a show where pretty much all of the characters are geeky, unpopular outcasts and minorities, and the idea of nonconformity is supposed to be accepted and praised, Steve is the favorite of the audience.

STEVE, a stereotypically masculine, neurotypical, straight, opposite-of-nerdy guy who's most eccentric traits are being kinda bad at flirting and having a lesbian best friend, is the favorite. the one with arguably the least amount of trauma and the most stereotypical character growth, is the favorite.

yeah, Steve is a great character. I don't have anything against him. but the fact that he's the most popular in a cast of characters where he is the outlier for being "normal" gives significant insight to the perspectives of the people who watch the show.
