I’m not fond of celebrities but I honestly don’t understand why people decided they were entitled to involve themselves in a rape trial. Male doctors shouldn’t be able to help women deliver babies. I’ve heard stories from far too many women of male doctors ignoring women’s concerns and then the birth of their baby being a traumatizing experience for them or even worse their concerns get ignored and their baby passes. I also just don’t think any man needs to put their hands up a woman’s birth canal.

It frustrates me to see women act seemingly obtuse to trans oppression and act like transgenderism is an oppressive force under wing of the patriarchy as if it isn’t DIRECTLY opposed to patriarchy. Trans women are not protected under patriarchy because of their dick, the oppression is different but the strict enforcement of gender and the physically violent disgust they are met with is BECAUSE they go against patriarchal gender norms. The mechanics are the same. I sometimes think radfems can become willingly ignorant to such a thing because it’s easier to view patriarchal oppression as a laser beam focused on women when it is, in fact, so pervasive it enforces a multitude of other oppressions to hold itself up.

I believe the inclusion of trans people is necessary in feminism since the patriarchy oppresses women and sexual minorities with the same reasonings. Ignoring this and whining about “but men can’t be women! Women are (insert something that barely applies to most cis women) and feminine and gentle!” like okay sure but when you define women with their uterus you are enabling sex based oppression which is the core issue to feminism to begin with.

Dismantling patriarchy means dismantling gender and sex based oppression and that means ALL variants of it.
