PSA: About The Current Wave of Internet Censorship

(( I know this is a very different post from what this blog was made for, but this is a topic that's important to me.

I'm sure most everyone's heard about the recent wave of censorship on the internet, and about how YouTube will be requiring age verification through ID on August 13th, for everyone. I'm making this post to encourage people to start downloading things.

Download all your favorite music, your favorite videos, important tutorials-- if it's something you'd miss, save it. Just by searching up "YouTube to MP3" you can find ways to do this (just be careful and use adblock, many of these sites are a little shady).

If you use AO3, start downloading all your favorite fics. If you consume adult or mature media, download that too. Download any art you enjoy while you're at it. LGBTQ+ resources and sex ed resources are bound to be heavily affected as well, so make sure to download these too.

People need to fight back. Call your representatives, sign petitions, make noise, keep talking, even protest in the streets if you're able to. Not allowing those in power to rip you away from the things you enjoy is just another form of protest.

Download and preserve what you can. If you have a flash drive (which are relatively cheap and not hard to find) then even better.

I also encourage people to start protecting their online privacy better. If you use the Google search engine or Chrome browser, get rid of them. Brave is great for mobile, but I'm sure there are other options I'm not aware of. For desktop, Firefox is great, but I've recently made the switch to DuckDuckGo and Tor for extra privacy. Ellipsus is a wonderful replacement for Google docs. Do as much as you can to break away from Google, because it collects so much personal data on its users. It's a breach of privacy that people shouldn't stand for.

Things may seem bleak and overwhelming, but that's the goal of the people passing these laws and regulations. They want you to give up, to lie down and take it, so keep fighting. Keep going out of spite alone, if you must.

It took a bit, but my personal designs for Saturn and Eclipse are done

As I said for Saturn. She seems to be an alien with the context given. So I gave her alien like features, or more bug like Allen features. In which I could give her an exoskeleton or a more war like species. My headcanon is that her species is a war/fighting species. When she was born she already knew how to do walk and think. And it’s for that reason why she doesn’t really know what children are

For Eclipse, he gave off a sorta dorky like personality and I really did want to reflect that. But I also wanted a fancy like appeal as well. At first I didn’t want to give him the glasses bc I felt it made him look too old and also leaned a bit to close to my ruin design. But then the Eclipse is Hurt episode came out and he reminded me of an old man. So the glasses fit perfectly

I have so many ideas for these two already it’s so funny,

They’ve also given me some ideas for Hazard and Modrolith (ocs) so that’s fun too

Moon bought the house, supposedly fixes all their problems, he needs to know everything while keeping his own secrets... He makes sure to be seen as the head of the household, so I'm not surprised Sun feels lesser than and like he can't be fully himself in that house anymore.

So I'm glad he gets to spend some time with Lunar and Earth since they don't have any expectations of him <3

How are you feeling about sun and moon fight on these days? Because gosh dang it no one is on sun's side, no even his on family

This whole thing pisses me off sooo bad, dude. Like, I don't understand why the whole family is on Moon's side when Sun has all the right to be upset??? The guy has been promising to change over and over again without doing any actual work, but Sun is the bad guy for not believing his words this time around? Yeah, okay.

In all honesty, I hope Moon will actually change for the better, but my hopes aren't that high... We all know the show doesn't really like that kind of Moon. They need a careless asshole, and they will ruin other characters just to keep him.
