Anthony smiled at him and nodded. “Yeah, all three,” she said. “My oldest is ten so he has been trying to take charge, which is kind of hilarious because the other two are not here for it. But hey, I don’t mind another pair of hands wrangling the younger two. That’s what older siblings are for, right?” He laughed as he followed the younger man back down the hill. “Damn, that must be a real good bar if people are relying on what little they can remember,” he said. “We gotta check that out.” He shook his head. “We’ll probably do as much as we can – as much as they’re legally allowed to do, being kids, and as much as my energy lets me do before I have to take a grandpa  nap at 3 p.m.”

"I totally get that. I have three other siblings and I'm the second youngest of four. Absolutely no one wanted to listen to my oldest brother. Not even my sister who's just two years younger than him." He shook his head as he spoke, he could clearly remember those days that he and the rest of his siblings ran around, wrecking havoc and obviously just pissing their parents off. "I'm not sure how my parents even handled all of us, honestly. I'm definitely sure that I would not be able to handle us, even currently." He continued moving along down the trail, noticing as the resort was becoming even more visible the further they moved down the hill. "If that's what a grandpa nap is now, then I'm worried. I'm an absolute monster if I don't get a little cat nap in just around lunch time. It just makes the whole later half of the day go a lot easier, you know?" Once reaching the bottom, he put his hands on his hips and looked out towards the sea again - now breathless from more than just the view after such a vigorous hike. "I promise I'll keep that monster side hidden away, though. So, drinks?"

Anthony chuckled and nodded in agreement. “No, that’s true, it’s pretty damn gorgeous out here,” he agreed, shaking his head. “It honestly doesn’t even seem real. Like when the hell have you ever seen water that blue? Blue doesn’t even seem to begin to cover it.” He looked around and shook his head. “My kids are passed out at the hotel, but I know they’re gonna spend most of the time in the water,” he said. “Which is fine with me. They can get themselves tuckered out all they want, I’ll absolutely support that.” He laughed. “I think you can do it, man, the guys who look scrawny are the ones who turn out to be scrappy as hell. I think we should head back down before you have to do your best to get this old man back down the hill.”

Although the two were set up as roommates for the trip, he really hadn’t known much about the other male. He knew that when they had conversations previously, they all went pretty well. He could tell even from the very brief conversation that they had previously that he had a sense of humor, and that same sense of humor was shining through as they explored their area. “Your kids are here too? That’s cute. I’m sure there’s tons for them to do around here as well, so you shouldn’t have any issue with tiring them out or anything.” He chuckled in response, before starting down the hill back in the direction of their resort. “I’ve heard some good things about the bar in the hotel. I mean, you know, what people can remember of it and all.” He shrugged, a playful smile playing on his face as he continued to lead them down. “Anything on that itinerary you got that you’re really looking forward to doing? Maybe you could take you kids to any of those activities?”

Anthony snorted, wiping his forearm across his brow, more for a joke now than anything else. “I mean, I slept the whole time,” he said. “Or pretty much. I think I woke up to eat because, you know, priorities, and I maybe watched most of the in flight movie. Although I couldn’t tell you know what the hell it was. They show some random shit on planes.” He looked around and nodded. “I’d never really thought about coming to Greece, honestly. I’ve heard people talk about how beautiful it is but I mean, most people don’t go on a vacation and come back like, ‘That was a hideous place I just went to’, you know? So many beautiful places, so little time.” He looked around, laughing a little. “Well now I’m just grateful that you didn’t pick a harder one,” he joked. “You mighta had to carry me back down the mountain. I’m not sure you would have been able to handle that. I’m heavier than I look. All this muscle, you know.”

A soft chuckle escaped his lips as he listened to the other man speak, turning himself to where he could face the water that was just in front of their line of vision. The other man had a point. Greece had never been very high on his list of places to go, and whatever vacation he did take he spent most of the time just running and walking through the terrain. Wherever he was in the world, as long as he had a good pair of running shoes and some space to explore, he was happy. This was more relaxing than anything else, but he figured that he and the rest of the people on this trip needed that sort of relaxation. “You’re right. But from as far as I can see, this might take place pretty high up on my favorite travel destinations. No other beach that I’ve seen can even compare to everything I’ve seen here.” He turned his head in the direction of Anthony, a laugh following his words. “Listen, I’m scrawny as fuck. I’m almost one-hundred percent certain I would not be able to carry you back down with me, so you gotta push through with this okay?” He shrugged, before glancing at the trail they were standing on. “The rest of this just seems like a pretty decent walk. Do you wanna see what’s a little further up or head back down? I’m good with anything.”

Connor: well see, i have this friend. we went to france (not together, as a while group) and i was feeling all kinds of not good things and i went over to his place. i genuinely wasn't thinking that it would get to where it did, and i know it's shitty of me to admit, but i just wanted some attention. some affection. and you know, we hooked up. then things got really fucking weird. i went away for a while, ran a marathon, i did a whole lot just to avoid speaking to him because our relationship had gotten so rocky and it was entirely my fault. so fast forward and everything is fine now. kinda. we talk almost every day. he's one of my best friends. we haven't brought up the whole france thing since we made up and i don't think we have to, but what happened between us still happened, you know? anyway. we went to pride and he left with another guy and i... i don't know what happened. i got jealous. i don't know why. i obviously don't want to get in the way of him and his future sexual endeavors and all, but something about it just bothered me slightly. my head is just a mess, honestly.
