Bug of the Day
So this is pretty cool - A couple of weeks ago I found this Tussock Moth (likely hickory tussock moth, Lophocampa caryae) who had just laid eggs on the Vuku I use to house my bug light (IYKYK). Nine days later I was back at the light and the caterpillars had hatched! Here is what they look like fully grown: https://bugguide.net/node/view/1442651/bgimage

hii can u id this pleasee?? saw this around and cannot fly in my room. philippines (region 3, luzon)
I cannot stress how much I am NOT QUALIFIED to id moths from the Philippines, but this looks like a type of tiger moth (Erebidae family, Artiinae subfamily), and seems to be a match for the red costate tiger moth, Aloa lactinea
See: https://www.mothsofindia.org/aloa-lactinea

Bug of the Day
How it started, vs. how it's going...
I have no idea what this spider was thinking but the beetle remained chill and eventually, spidey, moved on.
