guys what if the miwi flashback starts off as a bad memory (lonnie yelling at will or something similar) that is used against will but as the episode goes on we get more context and it ends up as a happy one(mike standing up for him, mike comforting him, etc) and it helps will see that he is loved and that encourages him to fight :D

i want to gatekeep mike wheeler from fans who hated him the last two seasons. people who thought the show had a “mike problem” and that he was simply an unlikeable, poorly written character. if you don’t love him at his depression and internalized homophobia, you don’t deserve protective paladin leader mike who gets the boy!!!!!

I can picture it now: It’s Christmas Day. I’m watching episode 7 of the final season of stranger things. Mike and Will are somehow both in the upside down and I know something big is coming because 7 is bylers number. They find themselves at Mikes house standing in the driveway where they had their last talk before Will disappeared 5 years ago. They have a heart to heart and kiss as though nothing could fall because the shame is on the other side. The light above the Wheelers garage starts to glow. In the past, the same light flickers as Will bikes away and Mike watches after him. Flickergate is real. Byler is canon. I am forever changed.
