I hate how talented Trump is at communicating with dumbasses. All I can think as I listen to his speech to the Joint Session of Congress is "wow, he sounds amazing if you're incapable of critical thinking and can't find the US on a map."

He's charming, he's commanding, and he makes everything sound like a big joke. It's very endearing if you're an incorrigible imbecile who doesn't comprehend that he's fucking over everyone in the country who isn't rich while wrecking our standing in the world.

i realize this is very different to what i usually post, and i realize that this blog isn't very well established. i like to post art and engage with fandoms here. but i am a u.s. citizen, and i need to at least try to reach out somewhere.

i could talk about how horrible everything is. i could talk about how scary everything is, because by god am i terrified.

but that's not what you need to hear. i am SICK of being scared. they WANT us to be scared. if we're scared, we hide, and we get out of their way. that's what they want. they want free reign over us.

we cannot be compliant in this. we have POWER. i know it doesn't feel like it, but we are gaining momentum. nothing changes over night. it takes time, but even cliffsides become dust with years of contact with the ocean. mind you, one drop of water isnt a lot, but together, we are an ocean. we are a force to be reckoned with. we NEED you.

we need you to speak up. we need you to talk about it. put up a ukrainian flag. look into 50/50/1. do anything to let the rest of us know that you are with us. let us know that you dont believe the lies.

if you can, obviously, go to town hall meetings and write letters. but i want you to show in whatever way you can, defiance, not compliance.

im wearing ukrainian flags on my bags. im wearing my green day shirts. i am showing the world that i do not believe in their lies. just showing others that you are willing to stand for what's right will get others to believe too.

watching the congress address

i thought it was neat that the democrats had signs, like that's good to send a message..

but then i realized it's because that's the only way that they'll get a word in. their voices wont be heard, so they have to use signs. our own congress isnt being listened to. one woman even had a sign ripped out of her hands. what the absolute fuck.

dont look away from this. we the people have power if we stand together. we are gaining momentum. we will survive this, i promise you. i believe in you, and i am proud of you. we will make it together.
