Ruby Rose - Shadow Edition!!

Hey peeps!

If any of y’all follow my Instagram, you’d know that I LOVE SONIC WITH ALL MY HEART and it’s been my newfound hyperfixation during the RWBY hiatus. It hits the same spot RWBY does, in the realm of hope-punk, rule-of-cool anime stuff, and I am immensely happier having both franchises in my life.

I think my hyperfixation spread over to my interpretation of Ruby herself, since she would ABSOLUTELY be a Sonic fan, and I’ve assigned everyone on the main cast a Sonic character counterpart, and I really wanna draw them all in cosplay of said characters

So starting off with Ruby as Shadow!!

Okay, so this matchup is perfect because they both have red and black color schemes (specifically black hair with red highlights), speed powers, supernatural abilities inherited from a parental figure, like guns, have blonde siblings, are besties with a robot, have met batman, live in a world with magical colored rocks that give power boosts, and have Casey Lee Williams singing character-specific songs for them.

I’ve… put a lot of thought about this

Don’t even get me started on the similarities between these two and Crosshair from Bad Batch

Anyway yea, this is just a fun post because I really like this design for Rubes :3
