I really want a reboot of Cybersix, where, like in the show, they don’t specify that one identity is ‘true’ and one is a disguise. I haven’t read the comics (hearing about them makes me not want to go near with a bargepole because apparently full of rape and other grossness) but apparently they don’t let cybersix be genderfluid.

Whereas in the show, you get him waking up as Adrian some days, already presenting as male, and on other days going to bed/waking up as Cybersix. They are definitely both male and female - genderfluid, switching between the two. They put on a voice when they are Adrian unless they are with someone they know and trust completely (like Data 7).

I want a show where they are explicitly genderfluid, and Lucas is explicitly bi. He’s attracted to two people, Cybersix and Adrian. One is a superhero he met one night, and the other is a new teacher at his school who teaches english and likes poetry. He has crushes on both - has mini dates with Adrian most days after school, and meets Cybersix at night - but hasn’t acted.

Then at some point I’d have him find out that they are the same person, and…whilst they get together in a relationship, his treatment of them doesn’t change. When they are presenting as Adrian, they are Adrian. When they are presenting as Cybersix, they are Cybersix.

Lucas loves them regardless of gender. Gender never mattered to him anyway. What mattered was this amazing person who he fell for extremely quickly.

I’d have Adrian adopt Julian as well - maybe it takes time, but they put work into it and Lucas helps, and Julian gets a home.

Anyway I love this show but there are only 13 episodes and I wish there were more!

Another addition to my canon genderfluid character list: Adrian Seidelman, also known as Cybersix, from the comic/show Cybersix.

By day, he’s a literature schoolteacher who’s a little cold to his students (especially the one who has a crush on him). By night, she’s a warrior, stalking the streets of Meridiana to fight the forces of her creator, the evil Dr. Reichter. Partly because they’re doing crimes, partly because she needs a particular chemical to keep her cyborg body going, and Reichter’s creations never go without it.

In the show, it’s a vial they carry. In the comics, it’s their blood. So, yeah, Comic!Cybersix is a cyborg vampire.

Also of some amusement, is they are in a Two Person Love Triangle with their fellow teacher, Lucas, who keeps asking Adrian out to coffee or a romantic movie, but also keeps charging into battle to assist Cybersix (and also at one point thought that Adrien and Cybersix were dating themself).
