hey everyfox, im currently in the process of moving out, and have by the end of july to find myself, gf and our roommate a new place to live. unfortunately we've been on and off sick and earning a lot less because of it, and i just settled a $1800 debt in order to try and get myself in good standing so i have a better chance at getting accepted a new place. due to this, though, it ate up a lot of my savings and with us having to pay 1 month rent + deposit at move in, plus costs like hiring movers, I could really use some help if anyone has anything to spare.

for years i didnt know mlm ships were genrally more popular because i'd spent a signifigant portion of my teenage years consuming media like touhou and love live where there just. straight up arent any men that matter (rinnosuke does NOT count). so finding out a lot of other fandoms hated women was a culture shock like wdym...... i've been sheltered in my beautiful yuri paradise......

Personal ranking of ways of communicating with a person I don't know/in a formal setting. That is, if I had to communicate/get in touch with a person in a formal context and I was given the choice between all of these options this is what I would pick:

S Tier: in-person

A Tier: phone call

B Tier: replying to an email, video call, dedicated messaging app

C Tier: sending an email

D Tier: SMS

F Tier: leaving a voice message

Note that I'm not counting any of the impacts that anxiety/ADHD/other can have on anything leading up to the interaction; I do struggle a lot with initiating a number of these (especially emails), but I'm just judging how efficient the interaction itself tends to be.

Some may be surprised at how high in-person and phone calls but the flexibility afforded by actually speaking to another person is what I sorely miss in every other option except video call. You just get way less room for misunderstanding/poor phrasing, and even if you do you can clear any up in an organic way (which would take 4 separate emails).

affection- and touch-starvation make it so if anyone flirted with me on the regular i would melt in place (positive) (genuinely it's really simple) but by performing a secret ritual (staying awake really late) i access an upgraded form where i need to engage in all known emotional and physical displays of romantic affection at once and get a nice hug and sleep and break from it all
