so in 2011 when I was 12 I learned how to edit photos in gimp..
the first one was a result of me discovering that weird bell pepper brush tool that came with the program and going to town with it.
the second one was something i randomly thought of and for some reason felt it was necessary to make real; no joke it took me like 2 hours to edit.

Alright so. Just listened to all of Radiohead’s discography. From Pablo Honey to A Moon Shaped Pool. And now I am going to talk about them in a worst to best sort of thing since they are still fresh in my mind. So yeah. Here is a Radiohead worst to best. Enjoy.
#9 The King of Limbs
Tumblr media
Ok. I know this may sound hyperbolic, and I know there are 100% worse sounding records than this, but...HOLY SHIT! This is the worst record I have ever heard. It’s both boring and way too messy. The fact the only good song on this is a piano piece is stupid. It’s nothing but shitty experimental “rock” music that sounds so choppy and unfinished. This 30 minute album was a chore to get through. This is just a huge massive pile of shit produced by a really good band. It sort of offends me to the core.
#8 Kid A
Tumblr media
Ok, sorry for that whole rant about how shit King of Limbs was. Anyways, Kid A. A lot of fans love this album, and I can’t see why. Too me this feels like a more, finished and less shitty King of Limbs. I say the songs like National Anthem and Optimistic makes this album not as bad but not much better than King of Limbs. Though I do say, if it wasn’t for it’s existence, Radiohead probably wouldn’t have gone this fair in their career, so I respect it for that, but I don’t respect it for being a sort of bad album.
#7 Pablo Honey
Tumblr media
Alright now after we gone through the bad album, now time for the good. Pablo Honey, the debut album of Radiohead. This is a great grunge rock album. Songs like You, Creep, Ripcord, and I Can’t are classic songs that deserve to be played a ton. However...it’s just your basic grunge album, that’s it. Nothing fancy, no experimentation, no experimental rock music, just your standard grunge album, and that kinda makes this album boring. It’s great but...it’s also basic as all hell. I get why this album is hated, but I also see why it’s love. It’s great, but boring.
#6 OK Computer
Tumblr media
Alright, alright. Before you slaughter me with your pitchforks, lemme say this. I think this album is one of their best works, but, I don’t think it’s their all time best. A lot of the songs here are amazing tracks, like Karma Police, Let Down, Climbing up the Walls, Paranoid Android, The Tourist. All really amazing songs, but something about it just doesn’t tickle my funny bone all that much, doesn’t make me want to revisit it over and over and over again unlike their other albums. What I am saying is, while it’s great, I wouldn’t say I will get it on vinyl in a heartbeat.
#5 The Bends
Tumblr media
The Bends, aka their grunge era when it was at their peak. Which the more I think about it, the more I realize how sad and short lived their grunge era was, with really only two maybe three albums (I know they are still considered grunge but to me they are less grunge and more experimental). Originally this was my all time favorite, originally being number one, it’s just was that good. Though after listening to more albums, I say this while it’s still amazing with tracks like Planet Telex, Fake Plastic Trees, Nice Dream, Just, and Sulk, I do admit this is very inferior to the bands other works, especially the ones later on.
#4 Amnesiac
Tumblr media
Amnesiac, oh how I love you. The band decided to take the good things from Kid A and multiplied them by 10. Sure it can get a tad sloppy and a bit too experimental sometimes, but overall this experience I had with this album was just like a French kiss. Most of the tracks here are superb in what they pull being the most experimental the band has gotten but in a good and fun way. I think this is when they were the most mature when it came to creating great music that was both grunge like and experimental. But while this may be when they were great, there are albums that showcase when the band was greater than they were themselves as people.
#3 Hail to the Thief
Tumblr media
So, if you made an amazing album, what’s next? Well than make an even more amazing album. Hail to the Thief is what I call there magnum opus. Not there best work but there most important work. This is because you can feel and hear them perfecting their sound, their experimentation, their whole energy in this album. It’s like the sound of the crust of a good bread. Smooth, beautiful, yet seriously weird to listen to. That’s Radiohead, this is what Radiohead is all about. Weird yet beautiful listening experiences that just screams to you softly. Hail to the Thief is a clear cut articulated painting the band made for us to listen. Beautiful, and weird.
#2 In Rainbows
Tumblr media
While Hail to the Thief was Radiohead’s magnum opus, In Rainbows is just as important as their previous work. It’s a lot more consistent and easier to listen to if you just want a normal rock experience, but as a new Radiohead fan, this album is a spectacle to listen to. Each track on this beast feels like a smooth sailing adventure. It made me feel calm, yet made me feel somewhat sad. It’s strange, despite me not understanding what Thom is saying, he still tugs on my heart. It’s crazy how well this album was built, despite how much shit the band went through in making this album.
#I A Moon Shaped Pool
Tumblr media
Oh my god. This album, I have zero idea how this made me feel. It just makes me feel these raw emotions, it made me cry even though I was happy, it’s strange. It’s...I legit cannot describe how beautiful this album is. Thom’s vocals, Jonny’s beautiful guitar, and whoever said to add violins on here, I want to shake their hand right now because they just make this album so much better. From the shit show that was King of Limbs, this...this makes me hopeful for Radiohead’s next release. I want more of this from Thom. I want to cry while smiling again. I want that experience again. I don’t want to exit the Moon shaped pool. Please.
Sorry for getting a bit emotional. Yeah that was the worst to best. Hope you enjoyed this. Might do a Beatles one next but we’ll see. So yeah, thanks for reading.

Alright so I am doing something a little different, I am gonna be doing a worst to best. I have done some of these before when I was on Amino but I deleted that app so I thought to do some here. So I am gonna do a worst to best for the very famous Post Modern Rock band, Godspeed You! Black Emperor. So yeah let’s do this.
#8. Luciferian Towers
Tumblr media
I think you expected this to be the one that is considered the worst on here, and it’s objectively true that this is the worse album Godspeed made. This album is boring as all hell. Really the only good tracks on this album are Undoing Luciferian Towers and Bosses Hang Pt. I, but that’s because they are the least boring ones. The Anthem with No State tracks are lackluster, Fam/Famine is way to experimental, and the Bosses Hang pieces are just either boring or ok. All in all this album is probably the most boring album Godspeed You! Black Emperor ever made.
#7 Asunder, Sweet, and Other Distress
Tumblr media
Asunder, Sweet, and Other Distress is regarded as Godspeed’s either worst album or most lackluster album, and too me it’s the ladder. This album feels like it had so much potential especially with the track Peasantry or ‘Light inside Light’ by it having this unwavering and epic feeling guitar, but the more you hear it the more you release it’s just a repetitive series of chords that goes on for just too long. Lambs’ Breath and Asunder, Sweet are just bad and with no substance to call a Godspeed song, and Piss Crowns Are Trebled is an ok track but not one I can call a good track. I say this and Luciferian Towers are some of the worse and most boring albums Godspeed has ever made, though these are the only two bad albums they made.
#6 G_D’s Pee AT STATE’S END!
Tumblr media
G_D’s Pee AT STATE’S END is a very good album Godspeed has made this year and a true return to form while also having some delicious experimentation on their sound. Tracks like Job’s Lament, First of the Last Glaciers, Government Came, and the best track on this album, Cliffs Gaze are all beautiful tracks that reminds you of their old days from the late 90s and early 2000s. I say this album feels like a true next release from their album Alleujah! Don’t Bend Ascend. Of course this album is not perfect, Where we break how we shine is just not very good, and Military Alphabet is much like Fam/Famine in how it’s way too experimental for Godspeed, but despite this, this is probably the best starter album if you want to introduce someone to Godspeed You! Black Emperor and just a great album all around.
#5 F♯ A♯ ∞
Tumblr media
F♯ A♯ ∞ is Godspeed’s first album and by far one of their most poetic. It’s a beautifully dark concept album that tackles so many themes like the government, the homeless, and the end of the world. Dead Flag Blues is one of the greatest songs Godspeed made and ever written. The last few minutes on that track is so beautiful. East Hastings is a very great track that uses bag pipes to it’s most and best use, and Providence introduces basically the main character of Godspeed You! Black Emperor lore, Blaise Bailey Finnegan III and it’s very poetic and very beautiful. This album is basically a dark beautiful poem recorded into a beautiful symphony.
#4 Alleujah! Don’t Bend Ascend!
Tumblr media
Alleujah! Don’t Bend Ascend is what F♯ A♯ ∞ did but better and more stream lined. The tracks on this thing are a horrifically amazing chef’s kiss that makes you love it even more. Mladic is a beautiful masterpiece that feels like it came out of a legendary battle of war and orderly chaos. A ton of people call this one of Godspeed You! Black Emperor’s best album and I cannot blame them, it’s really good. The other tracks like We Drift Like Worried Fire and Their Helicopters Sing are also ear candies just like Mladic, and they are a pure dreadful joy to listen through. Overall this is a amazing album that I’ll listen through again and get on vinyl if I ever get the chance.
#3 Yanqui U.X.O
Tumblr media
Possibly one of their most underrated and most under appreciated albums ever. Yanqui U.X.O is less poetic as most of their other albums, however what it lacks in beauty and grace does it excels at with pure rage. You can hear the rage in the guitars, the strings, it feels like it’s yelling in rage at the world during a post 9/11 lifetime. It’s beautiful in a car crash sort of way. Godspeed excels with this as one of their masterpieces and I don’t think anyone should say it’s less than that, because it is, it’s a masterpiece.
#2 Life Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas To Heaven
Tumblr media
What can I say about this album that hasn’t been said before? No seriously what? It’s a super amazing masterpiece of an album. It’s as iconic as albums like Dark Side of the Moon, The Rise And Fall of Ziggy Stardust, Nevermind, Thriller, even Abbey Road. It’s nothing but joyful symphony of guitars and string that feels like a orchestra is playing this tune that came straight from a war zone. All the tracks from Storm to Antennas to Heaven are amazing tracks that should be regarded as pure masterpieces that should be held up to high regard in the music world. However while this album may be by definition, a perfect album, there is one that I consider even more perfect and that is.
#1 Slow Riot for New Zero Kanada
Tumblr media
I do not give a damn if this is considered an EP, this is the best album Godspeed You! Black Emperor made. The two tracks on this album, Moya and Blaise Bailey Finnegan III are pure Godspeed You! Black Emperor as Godspeed You! Black Emperor could get. It’s haunting yet beautiful. It’s dreadful yet calming. It’s hard yet soft. It’s spoken yet doesn’t. And it’s also the only one that made me feel something. This is the only album so far that made me feel strong emotions after listening to it. It made me feel both empty and sad, and that’s what I feel like Godspeed You! Black Emperor should make me feel everytime I listen to one of their albums, yet none so far has ever done what Slow Riot for New Zero Kanada has done. Overall, this is an amazing album and makes me want more Godspeed like this.
Ok, that was my worst to best, hope you like it :)
