Been reading @undertalewasagoodgameokay 's ask blog series @askthesciencesquad and wanted to draw a Gaster! Papyrus

Don't know if I'll do anything with him because I have an awful habit of strating things and not finishing them so who knows

@sunsestart’s forgettable au has been giving me brain worms again. So um. Here’s Gaster from it because I love his design and his stupid face. Perfect combination of punchable and kissable right there.

Hers some alt versions because I didn’t know how I wanted to do the colors.

Sorry the next update is taking so long! It requires quite a bit of extra art work/room layouting before I can fully finish the next pages. Here’s a close up of one of the pieces that will be featuring in future updates!

This took me a while- but here's more content explaining the FORGETTABLE-AU!! Yey

So let's start with a very important point, what's going on in this AU?

Well, I'm planning for this to be kind of a Gaster prequel story! I know we already have lots of those... BUT, It's not going to be like the usual Gaster content we see.

How many things would be different Papyrus was Gaster? HEHE

There's LOTS and LOTS of new possibilities!!

I had lots of ideas, so I made this messy AU

I'm trying to stick to canon as much as I can, but there's lots of holes and that's where my imagination and LOTS of other theories come in!

that's why I'm making this an AU

I'm not talking a lot about it because I don't want to spoil the story

But I am making content! mostly lots of concept art hehe

I might make a side-blog exclusively for this AU...

NOW, I'll try to explain how the whole "Gaster shattered across time and space, how could he be Papyrus??" situation plays out, without spoilers

Well, papyrus isn't Gaster, he WAS Gaster. But, Even if they are the same person, they're not actually the same person...

uuh, like a Flowey situation??

Flowey is just a piece of what little was left of Asriel

He's not actually Asriel and he'll never be Asriel

Flowey is his own being

so,

We know Gaster shattered across time and space, shattered

There lots of pieces, one of the gaster followers DIRECTLY says, that they're "holding a piece of him right now"

Well, in this AU, Papyrus is one of those remaining of Gaster, a very important one, he is taking Windings' place as sans' brother for example

is he a replacement, an update? a patch? a glitch? a shell without the egg?

idk

He's just Papyrus

maybe he's a second chance, Windings wasn't the best person before he, uh, we all know what happened to him

Little timeline that I hope makes a little sense...

OH, before I forget, in this AU Windings didn't fell into the CORE, he fell into his own creation

but it wasn't the core

it was another thing...

But, that's a spoiler

I don't want this post to be TOO LONG, so I'll divide it into 2 or more parts

I know I'm not really explaining much, but I REALLY want to avoid spoilers

so that's it for now,,, hehe

Sooooo i really like this theory hehe

I don't think it'll be canon, but as I said, I think it is a real cool concept with lots of possibilities

It has great story material!

So insted of just making the theory a headcanon, I'll have an AU

Then i can mash a bunch of theories i like into one big story HEHEH

And even if those theories turn out not being canon, it'll be okay because it's an AU

Let me know what you think about this concept! There's like, little to no content so i might make it myself

okay but consider. papyrus in deltarune being both the knight and gaster. there's nothing in canon that suggests that this is inherently impossible right now. maybe undertale papyrus could also be an amnesiac deltarune gaster somehow. and thus that'd be how the two different timelines are still also intrinsically connected.

I have been corrupted by @extracurricular-mayhem and @deviodofmeat and I am now creating Papyrus is Gaster content. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Nah, that was a Theory I've been particularly fond of for a long time but I couldn't find content I really appreciated about it because of some issues toward Papyrus' (gaster's??) characterization. I love it when they have Papyrus' canon personality -._-.

And I love it when Sans is as more clueless as Papyrus is---

At first I had planned on drawing him without the two lines in his skull but when I read the post saying he drew them every morning because he thought it was cool I couldn't not draw them.

The reason why "papyrus is gaster" theory works is because you can't deny his involvement with gaster, but he also can't be one of the people gaster contact because all of them (until this time) have been little manlets, in this case, the only option left is to papyrus be the man himself
