i began using ki/kin pronouns because i’m an antispeciesist and animals right activist as well as an environmental advocate! i like how the pronoun originated to bring attention to the importance of every living being on our earth. i passionately believe this planet isn’t “ours” and we should treat all beings with respect. although i inherent a human body, i want my connection to all other living beings of nature to be perceived, and ki/kin gives me that feeling! i hope this explanation makes sense, i have a massive headache and am struggling with words haha-

What are three weird/unique things about you that have no practical application, but are cool nonetheless?

finally answering my asks after not posting on this blog for months! i’m quite excited for this one actually! 🐑🤍

1. i have a large collection of sheep themed stuff, including over 200 sheep plushies. i have been collecting since birth and sheep have always been my favorite thing ever! whenever i don’t know what to talk about, i default to sheep.

2. I’m oddly good at poetry? it doesn’t really have a practical use except i have had people ask me for assistance with school projects before lol. i have won awards in poetry competitions before! i still write but i rarely share my work.

3. i memorize a lot of nerdy shit like the periodic table, the unit circle, digits of pi, prime numbers etc… my memory has gotten worse because of health problems but i still have lots of random knowledge in my head that i used to memorize out of boredom lol.

Not to sound like a fuckin hippie but please for the love of god start noticing and appreciating the natural world around you. You don’t have to go hike the entire Appalachian trail or anything and I get that not everyone has access to the outdoors for various reasons, but just fucking … look around you when you’re outside. Notice the sky and the sun and the birds and creatures. Start caring about them. I’m begging you.

I have three questions for you:

1) What’s the most annoying thing you can think of?

2) What do you think should go extinct?

3) What is your purpose?

yay! this is a really fun ask! sorry for late-ish reply but i appreciate it ^_^

1. the most annoying thing to me is when someone says something on the topics i’m passionate about that is completely inaccurate, and then refuses to listen or educate themself on it once i politely explain the truth. i try my best not to get too angry over ignorance, as everyone is ignorant to some extent, but people who are willing to stay that way when presented with an opportunity to learn frustrate me to no end. it’s especially bad because what i’m super passionate about is animal rights, and being ignorant on that topic actually leads to real beings facing harm. i don’t mind if people don’t want to hear the gruesome details of animal exploitation, but at least don’t participate in it by funding it.

2. hmm, my go to answer would be my phobia (i have a phobia of a specific animal) but that would be quite selfish of me, and they don’t *deserve* to go extinct. honestly the animal that causes the biggest amount of harm to this world is humans; we should remember that we don’t own this planet no matter how much we like to act like we do. if humans went extinct that would save trillions of animals every year. but in truth, i don’t want anyone to go extinct and want all species to learn how to coexist, though i know that’s an optimistic desire and it will take a while before humanity is generally against speciesism.

3. the shortest way to describe my purpose is “to inspire,” though it’s a lot more complicated than that. i’ll try to keep it short, but what i really desire isn’t money, fame, status, but to simply make change. i didn’t ask for this life, but if i have it, may as well make the most out of it, you know? i love the arts, especially creative writing and making music. i hope my work can inspire more people to think more, to think about what they truly want and what is important in this world. i want to do some work for the animal rights movement and inspire people to go vegan. i also want to help people like me know that they’re not the only ones who feel lonely and dystopian all of the time.
