Major Blog Update: Dizzy is as Dizzy Does!

I know it's been a really long time since I last updated my Multipy account. Well, blame it on facebook and my internet connection. Sorry, I won't explain why... hehe. Anyway, this first semester has been really awesome. A lot of things has changed, a lot happened, and there are more to come. I'll try to make this as short as possible. Here it goes.......

I finally got to move out of my dormitory.

This isn't really new news since I wrote an entry about this but I'm happy to have my own place with no roommates.

I got the highest in our System Analysis & Design last semester

..and this semester I've got three spankin' majors! C# Programming, Management of Technology, and Database Management Systems.

I finally have a Korean "barkada"

Anyone who knows me would say that I'm a big-eyed Korean zealot. I was introduced to 7 Korean exchange students (3 boys, 4 girls) and we've been hanging out a lot. It's good to bond with people with the same nationality as mine..hehe (They do drink a lot!)

My hair is Red!

I had my hair colored Red! (korean craze)

I am now a first six player in our University's Volleyball Varsity Team!

No explanation needed..hehe woohoo!!!

I'm currently the Vice-Pres of our fraternity, Sigma Alpha Epsilon

Talk about power.

Shake

Kpop's sexy queen is back or so I think. A lot of divas are claiming the throne (Lee Hyori, Son Dam Bi, Seo In Young). Anyhow this album is fun. Not the best but still worth listening too. When I first played the album I immediately deleted it mainly because I was biased with the review of a blogger. However, after watching some live performances I was instantly hooked and I downloaded the album again! The best tracks are the first three songs: Shake, the carrier single which is addictive especially when she performs it. Ooh La, La, La, the 2nd track is a sexually pumped up disco track. Enough said 'bout that. lol* The 3rd track, Hey Stupid, is a bubbly techno-infused song that is playful to the ears. The album's main theme is disco + pop + sexy. Fire

This is definitely burnin' hot! Last March 2NE1 (pronounced as twenty one) along with Bigbang released a promotional single, Lollipop,for the LG Cyon mobile phone line. Now 2NE1's back with their fiery debut single, Fire! The single is bass heavy and hip-hop influenced with a hint of techno in it. The music video which is now up in youtube is spankin'! We Made Him Leave.

I never had  a father-son relationship with my dad. Me and my sister never liked the "dad". He was too strict, to controlling, and angry. We thought that it was some sort of disciplinary upbringing. As time went by, we saw right through him and what we saw is that he never really cared except for himself. My Mom basically raised us with all the love, care, and compassion that she can give. She sent us to school through her own efforts and finances. Don't get me wrong. The "dad" helped like with Php10,000, which isn't even .01% of our accumulated tuitions since we both go to private institutions. He's too lazy to work. Oh, he did work but his paychecks were all his. We saw him evolve into a leech as he was depending on my mom. He constantly sucked our finances, and most importantly our happiness.

The past 19 years was a struggle under his so called fatherhood. He was not even a father. He speaks well about it but it's mostly talk. In most recent years I have been in a series of conflicts with the "dad" but the worst was 2 weeks ago. We had to act upon it. We had to make him leave. And that we did. In this week he'll be out and our family will be whole again. As my Mom said; "family is the three of us", and a happy family that is. At long last, we can now live in peace and happiness. I think we deserve that.

Sandara Park at last! She's back and kickin' with her new girl band 2NE1. Along with Big Bang here they come with Lollipop. It's a fun, addictive song that sometimes can get annoying. A thousand blogs in one blog!

See, the picture on the right? That's my new apartment! Or not. I cannot afford that (which means my mom). Anyhow, after 2 years of staying in a freakin' dormitory I get to move out. It's somewhere nearer school, but who cares anyway..haha. This 2nd semester rushed by so quickly. I got to finish my System Analysis and Design project with my group mates and we got to defend our project. Not to mention the project revision, which turned me into a zombie after 29  hours of being awake. I got to pass my Business Processes project a week after the deadline/finals and also my exam permit. I'm just glad that school is over, which means recording time!!! I'm gonna work on my 1st album! If you know me, it would mean singing covers of Korean songs..haha. My 1st cover single was posted here in a blog entitled, 1st Kiss (click here). But the best thing about this 2nd semester is that I found a friend! I had at least 4 best friends all of which ended because of me moving from one place to another. When I was still in Manila my best friend was Nicolo. When I was in Bohol it was Jamie and Nhordz. Here in Dumaguete it's Bern Anne, but we're a bit fading away since she's busy and she lives far from me. Anyway this new friend is Tedrik. He's cool since we can talk about stuff and hang-out wherever until the wee hours of the morning. I wish finding an ideal girlfriend would be that easy. I'm really searching these days but as people say, "just wait". So I'll wait. And I'm also waiting for your comments! lol* Thanks for reading.

We Started Nothing

I love pop. I love indie. I want both. I got The Ting Tings. It's really thanks to my group mates in my Systems Analysis & Design major that I got to listen to this band. "That's Not My Name" was like played a hundred times during our project implementation. I've been listening to this album non stop since I bought downloaded it yesterday. Anyhow I'm totally dizzy. No I wasn't spinning around like that game we used to play at my birthday party when I was young. Somebody's is playing me hot & cold, which is making me dizzy. Well, let's see where this goes.

Shoot 'Em Up

I watched this movie last night with Tedrik. We were about to choose I Am Legend and then we decided we could try this out. It was an okay action film. It had great stunts with an added whiff of comedy. The plot is all about harvested babies..., which is a bit lame but the action sequences make up for it. And of course, the carrots! :)

Why is there a need to be with someone?

I remember telling myself not so long ago in the year 2009 that I would be spending the year independently. But things are not going the way I planned them. Suddenly, someone just pops up out of nowhere giving you anxiousness and butterflies in the stomach. Don't get me wrong, I like it but why? Do I need to do this or maybe I'm alone. I don't know. Why should we constantly be with someone? Even priests and nuns have someone. No not that, I mean God.

I'm not really into Jpop but this single is rockin! The title track, Material World, is an addictive techno song. But the real deal is her revival of Cyndi Lauper's hit, Time After Time!
