George Boldt commissioned an entire castle be built as a grand gesture of love for his wife, Louise. But she passed before it could be finished, and the work was halted because George could not bear to live in that castle or see it completed without his wife.

Anon what has a vulture ever done to you 💀💀

They are one of my favorites. They are literally a real life animal that is just existing. They are nothing to be afraid of. They are super misunderstood, seeing one doesn’t mean they are gonna attack you or your pets. They are scavengers, they only eat already dead stuff. And they are super clean animals. They need to stay clean so they don’t get sick from the stuff they eat, if you ever see one perched with its wings outstretched it’s sunbathing. They literally let the sun burn off all the nasty microbes from their feathers. Without them, the dead won’t be taken care of and disease would run rampant; their stomach acid will break down nearly everything, including those diseases. Please be nice to vultures, they are a key part of our ecosystems and are literally just animals existing. They get framed bad by humans, by being human, see them as gross

In fact go support vulture conservation. Because they are declining without help just because people are afraid and disgusted by them
