We need at least 220 before the 3rd - roommate is looking for quick temp jobs, but there isn't really anything that pays that much this quickly, so I've gotta push commissions again.

For years, I poured my heart and soul into my work at Al-Shifa Hospital, striving to be a doctor of great repute,

caring for the wounded and the ill with compassion and skill.💉🩹

the devastation of war disrupted our lives and prevented us from serving our patients at Al-Shifa Hospital😣💔,

forcing me to leave my cherished home and the familiar walls of the hospital that had become my second home, a place of comfort, peace, and beautiful memories of my work.😔

As I left behind the echoes of laughter and camaraderie with my colleagues, patients, and friends,😰

I embarked on a painful journey southward. I bid farewell to the streets where I grew up, the corners I sought refuge in😥😭💔, and the colleagues who felt like family.

Memories of my formative years and the countless lives I touched during my tenure at Al-Shifa 😣and other medical facilities, such as Friends of the Patient Hospital and the Indonesian Hospital, overwhelmed me as I struggled to come to terms with the upheaval.😔😥

Despite the adversities that besieged me,

I held fast to my dream of becoming a successful doctor. 😀😁✌💚

I was fortunate enough to study medicine at Al-Azhar University, from which I graduated and later served as a teaching assistant, imparting knowledge to aspiring medical students with unwavering dedication. 😀🙏🖤

The idea of specializing in internal medicine drew me back to Al-Shifa Hospital, but sadly,

the brutal war destroyed it, shattering my hopes.In the midst of the chaos and destruction brought by war🥺😣💔

I sustained multiple injuries and narrowly escaped with my life. 🥺

The sanctuary of my home, a place of peace and beautiful memories, was completely destroyed, leaving my family and me impoverished and homeless. 😣💔😰

Yet, amidst the ruins, a glimmer of hope persists as I continue my work at Al-Aqsa Hospital😀, extending a helping hand to those in need without expecting anything in return. I draw strength from the humanity and love instilled in me by my teachers and mentors during my years of education and service.✌😁❤

Today, we find ourselves taking refuge in a humble tent, ⛺ 😭😣💔

stripped of our possessions and livelihoods. The loss of my job, my home, and some of my loved ones is a heavy burden to bear. 😢

Nevertheless, I refuse to succumb to despair, holding on to the belief that brighter days lie ahead.

Yesterday I came out to my grandmother as trans. She shed so many tears of happiness over me discovering something like this about myself, and her getting to know it. She kept telling me how beautiful I looked, and how happy she was about all this.

She told me, "I didn't know I had a granddaughter, but I always knew I had you."

I've been reworking the UI for a while and It's starting to get to a point where I'm happy.

it always depresses me to see queer people so fixated and emotionally invested in the crumbs we're given through queer-coding, as if they're being treated with anything other than disdain and vague fascination.

it's a demeaning, performative place in the darkness we're constantly left in then expected to thank those who put us there, and until we stomp our feet and stop acting so goddamn pleased with existing as near-invisible curiosities, it will never end.

now more than ever, we can't live genuinely obsessing over errant gazes or who implied what with whom and think that's us being accepted. it isn't. our media shapes so much of our culture, and right now we're happy with our part in it being subtle. we're satisfied with subtlety of our being in culture and that's miserable. i don't care about your implied romantic tension, call me when you actually have two girls kissing.

queer-coding is a relic of an era that we should be desperately trying to shed. we should be allowed to just be queer instead. we deserve more, why are we pleased with so little?

I never felt the need to reveal myself at first, as I never cared what the world thought. But now, I do. I want other trans people to look at HEARTRENDER and know that someone like them is making it. I want them to feel proud. Cherished. I want them to not feel alone.

HEARTRENDER is a game that, among many other things, speaks to the trans/queer experience. Talks about the joys and pains of being different and how these things heal/hurt us. Change. Community. Persecution. Transcendence. There's more, but I'll keep it a secret for now.

I know that by revealing myself, I expose myself to hatred and ignorance. But by the same coin, I wish to become part of a group from which I've seen so much warmth and solidarity. I've been helped, guided and been inspired by their bravery and now wish to join it.

Doing this, I hope to become part of a wonderful circle of linked hands and help grow it a bit. We deserve to be known and must stick together. For ourselves, those we hold dear, those who suffered in the past, and those who do not deserve to suffer in the future.
