I'm Retiring

Recently, I've been thinking a lot about my role in fiction discourse and the utility of posting rhetoric about it here. My friend was dropped by a long time friend over this. The goalposts will always be moved. I'll continuously deal with people who make it their life's goal to misinterpret and dehumanize. Even a friend can switch up in favor of social approval, against all evidence that we're correct.

Which is why I've decided that the best way for me to fight back against this bullshit is to put my energy into creating things that I love and share them with the world. I haven't drawn for myself in quite a long time.

I used to think that if I don't continuously battle on this issue then I'm conceding, I'm losing, I'm giving everyone who wants me to suffer and die exactly what they want. I'm simply not going to give these tyrants the attention they want anymore. I'm not going to waste valuable time that could be used to improve my craft.

I'm going to keep drawing and creating for my own enjoyment, and I'm going to keep sharing it. I'll get creepier. I'll get "worse." Creativity is a frightening weapon to those with limited minds. The realm of one's personal artistic journey is one that they cannot conquer, try as they might.

I may post art here, but I find Tumblr too limiting most of the time.

repeat after me: you cannot draw/write cp/csem. there is no child being exploited. it is fake. unless you are drawing a real child, no child is harmed. you are watering down the definition and flooding cybercrime tiplines. legitimate accusations of abuse are getting drowned out by hand wringing over cartoons. you are doing more damage to victims than a drawing ever could. i hope you feel ashamed for taking attention and resources away from living breathing victims. i hope you can't sleep. i hope it eats away at you.
