Forgot to post this when I completed it, but my monthly Nea for June! I decided to paint it on one layer with one brush. It was pretty fun, not fussing with layers or anything. ♥

A Nea, inspired by a photo of one of my Jrock crushes, aka Ruki. I was looking back and forth from one of his photos while drawing this. I'm actually not quite used to using references, but I'm trying to work on messier / painting style / semi-realism things, so I thought hey, why not use a photo of Ruki as a reference? ♥ This was one of his selfies, which you can see Nea's holding up a phone here. Modern day Nea moment with his love of Jrock.

Now, about this piece, it was revolving around Mana and Nea's reunion. As those who know me may already know, that this specific piece holds an extremely sentimental value to me, and it's also my dedication to my late ( first cat, my little white fluffy loaf of love ) Jigu.♡ A happy 21st Anniversary to my all time beloved favourite series. Here's to many more years; to keep walking and uncovering all the mysterious and stories within the journey of our beloved Dear Gray Man.♡

Happy 21st Anniversary D.Gray-Man!

Here is a project made by fans for the 21th anniversary of D.Gray-Man. It is viewable for free and can't be downloaded and sold in any way. 68 contributors participate in this project, resulting in 57 illustrations of Iconic Moments and 60 chronological doodles of little moments.

This fanbook has no affiliation with the official DGM in any way. The contributors claim no ownership or right to the DGM work, which is the sole property of Katsura Hoshino and Shūeisha. Each artist is the owner of and responsible for their art. Reposting any of the artwork is strictly forbidden without direct permission from the artist who made it.

We hope that our work will prompt new and old readers to take interest into D.Gray-Man. Please buy the manga to support the author!

A Sentimental Chat; May. 24th '25

I really am excited for the DGM Iconic Moments Zine; and I sure do hope you all are, too!

I know I've said this before, and I'll say it again -- this entire zine wound up becoming far more of a sentimental project to me than I could have ever imagined it to be. I can write about it in more detail here, as opposed to on bsky and twt, but...

The iconic moment that I worked on, was the last piece I was actively working on while my baby boy, Jigu, was still alive and at my desk with me. So to say that this piece has a lot of love, heart and soul poured into it -- might be a bit of an understatement! To me, that piece has become... so much more. It became a piece that has Jigu's presence engraved into it; a memory of him doing his best to stay by my side, despite the fact that I had no idea he was actually getting ready to cross rainbow bridge. He had used some of the last of his strength that day to hop onto my desk, to be in his favourite spot, and it completely motivated me to start my art grind and work diligently on the pieces.

( Previously, I had actually struggled, due to how he was acting unwell and then the actual visit to the emergency, where we had been told of anemia -- that turned out to be due to genetic issues that nothing would have absolved -- and given medicine for 2 weeks, and he only lasted one week after that... )

I still remember how, in lieu of my being scared and anxious, that day I was pacing and trying to self-soothe, Jigu came running out of his isolation and ran onto my desk. He had laid on his favourite spot, right by my tablet. I was overjoyed, and snuggled with him as I started to work on the revamp of the lineart ( I had previously submitted my lines that I was going to refine, but I had new motivation this time around ) and I believe I even took a photo of him while I was working on it. Later, at some point, when I transfer photos from my phone to my PC, I'll see if I can share it.

But... that's why it became so important. Because that piece was what I was working on, with my baby at my side, like always. It was what I was working on as I promised him that I would complete all 4 pieces. Jigu, after all, always laid on my artwork. Sketches, drawing tablets through the years, and even my monitor tablet that I had gotten, he always tried to lay on that as well, despite it standing up at an angle.

My Jigu shall always and eternally be my baby. My everything. He's instilled in me patterns, to take care of myself. I began caring about myself because of Jigu. He made me appreciate life in ways I couldn't even imagine before. He made me happy to wake up each day, even with severe depression and whatever else have you. Even in my bad health days, with him around I knew I could actually pull through.

So... while at first this zine started as a love letter to DGM, it has now also become a dedication; a tribute, to my precious baby, Jigu. 💝

A Monthly Mana that... has a lot more significance and importance, to me. A personal piece.

May 15th 2011 -- April 27th 2025.

This piece is a dedication, and my first... completed drawing, since the passing of my precious baby boy, Sora-Sama, aka, Jigu.

May 15th 2011, the shining 'you' was born. You have filled my life with meaning, my precious baby. I won't ever be able to forget all the love you gave me, from the ways you knew my schedule and meowed at me to make sure I had my meals, to making sure I had my teas, to demanding my attention when I'd draw or type, or to how your favourite spot was always on my lap as I drew and played games, and how you'd tuck me into bed with cuddles, and how I'd wake up to a face full of purring fur, or even how you'd wake up from your sleep sometimes crying out for me, and I'd scoop you up into my arms and give you some treats to cheer you up.

You are my light, my world, my universe, my everything. You taught me to care about myself, you taught me softness. I miss you more than anything, my precious child. I'm grateful that the two girls are still with me, but you were my first little baby bean. Half of my life has been spent with you... You came into my life at a time when I wanted to give up. You became my reason for pulling through dark times with my health among whatever life had going on. I've never experienced grief like this, before. Now, I know that heavy grief. How I love you. It was the hardest thing to come to face, my little fluffy cloud, that I had to wish you sweet dreams. In my arms you drew your last breath... and I can't ever forget that. I love you eternally, Jigu, my everything. ♡

Sketch pages~✩ There was this lovely sketchbook template I found on the CSP assets store; and needless to say I love it. (´▽`ʃ♡ƪ) It gives the feeling of sketching on an actual sketchbook, 10/10. Yes I am probably going to be using this template a lot for my doodles and sketches.

[EVENT] Drawing with Hoshino Katsura "Copi-Copi" sketching party ! (01/04/2025)

On May 18th, Hoshino Katsura will be holding a sketching party at Tentosen* in Kobe. During two hours and half, you'll be able to draw with her and talk about drawings.

*Tentosen is a drawing cafe in Kobe. Hoshino sensei has collaborated with them in the past for a small exhibition, and they actually hold a monthly seminar to study D.Gray-man drawing techniques (without Hoshino sensei herself, of course!)

Thanks to Tentosen Kobe collaboration, all the benefits will be donnated to shelter from which Santa comes from, in Kumamoto prefecture.
