my canon as Yandereplier was honestly so so odd

all egos lived in the void inside the mirror, and each group had their own house (the ipliers had their own house, the septiceyes had their own house, and the wantstobattle and cranks actually shared a house, alongside a bunch of AJ's characters from Random Encounters??)

i was in a relationship with blankgameplays, who was 17 years old (i was also 17)

my dad was actor!Mark, but i was basically adopted and raised by Dark & Wilford, and Bim Trimmer was my kinda brother (his bio dad was Wil)

Unus and Annus (and Amy) were also there during the time they were alive, and Annus was actually in a relationship with Dark for most of that year (things got very depressing when they died :<)

Natemare and Phantom were my friends, especially Natemare, who enjoyed causing chaos with me :3

yanderegameplays was my classmate (who i.... killed.)

woah, thats so interesting!! my canon was wayyy different, including in regards to yan specifically. i think the only thing that also happened in my canon was the ego groups sharing their own houses; though i only had the ipliers, cranks, and septics :P

Wilford Warfstache kin here, here's a random memory I got recently when on call with the Darkiplier from my canon YAYYYYYYYYYY

Me and Dark were talking in my dressing room when I said, "Y'know, I bet I could do my eyeliner better than you could!" To which he got REALLY MAD OVER. For context, I didn't even do my eyeliner. And I was still challenging him. I did do stage makeup though, but I had never done eyeliner ONCE in my life! So for the next five minutes or so, he angrily did his eyeliner while I kept doing my normal stage makeup.

"I hate you."

"I love you, too, Dark!"

Could I maybe get a moodboard of Eric Derekson x Yandereplier? Something themed around that feeling of taking drives at dusk around the countryside? No specific color theme, but he did have a truck (I dunno what kind I'm not into cars) and I played passenger princess all the time. We would park in the parking lot of our college and chat until we got too cold. He started bringing blankets and we'd snuggle up in the bed of the truck. I dunno if this is too much or not enough but! If you need more info lmk!

first of all i have to say you have NO idea how excited i got when i first saw this in my inbox, it felt like i was gonna explode!! it makes me so happy to see someone else who had this relationship in their canon-- i think i said it in a previous ask at some point but i (eric) was dating a yandereplier as well! as far as the fandom goes we are absolutely a rarepair so i barely even see any content for us, much less other ego kins who remember the pairing. so,, yeah this is a huge moment for me dhfjhks

anyways, sorry for the small rant, here's the moodboard!

usually i include images of the involved character(s) in the board somewhere to make it more specific, but eric and yan dont exactly have a lot of content to choose from that fit the aesthetic, so, i just left that part out. i hope thats alright!!

i highly recommend you play OFF for yourself!! really great and influential game, it's quite near and dear to me. mark's playthrough of it is also good (hell, i've both watched it and played the game for myself several times within the past month already haha) but i Will say that the version he's playing does have a few mistranslations. you can find the latest mortis ghost approved translation of the original on his website, unproductive fun time! but mark's playthrough is still great if you don't want to bother, he ended up really liking the game :-)

i'm actually hoping that we'll get to see him play the remake? i kind of doubt it just because he's been so busy and he doesn't really play a lot of remakes generally but, well. i can dream ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

markiplrrrr here again 👋 my canon is kind of weird, in that i have memories of both being the puppeteer in the world of OFF and being an ego in the... "real" world?? i suppose you could call it. most of my memories are of being around the other egos (especially yandereplier, as they were a very dear friend of mine) but i am rather attached to my identity as a puppeteer and i'm extremely excited by all the news about the remake for OFF that's coming out later this year (which also partially stems from the actual other kintype i have from OFF but that's not as important currently).

...which also makes me feel a little bit considering i Did contribute to the destruction of an entire world, on purpose. i didn't feel bad about it then but (perhaps thankfully) i do have a different sense of morality these days.

regardless. it's a very important kintype to me and i'm glad to have a space i can talk about it, even if i'm too shy to do so off anon :-)

in my canon, who killed markiplier didn't actually happen, it was just a project that mark had made and we had watched and dark and wilford never had in depth backstories like that. it was generally kind of weird anyways though because which of mark's characters did or did not turn into actual egos was extremely fickle and sometimes new egos would be made that we had 0 idea about until they just showed up to the house out of the blue.

it does also make things a little awkward because i (personally, not generally) have 0 idea who any of the wkm characters are. they seem nice and all (relatively speaking) but none of us had ever seen or met them so it sometimes takes me a moment to remember that, in the general scope of things at least, we are technically from the same universe.

sounds pretty unique! i dont come across egos very often in the first place but it seems even less common to find egos who dont come from universes where the "canon" content happened. like wkm, or the iris project, etc. im kind of a mix of both; wkm likely did happen in my canon (i dont know for sure though, as i wasnt that close to dark or wilford), but i dont have any recollection of the events of anomaly found: chase brody.

this ask did also make me wonder how common it is for egos to come from universes where they could consume their own content. i think that was a thing in my universe, and it sounds like it was in yours too? pretty interesting to think about.

Hoiii! I wanted to ask this, but didn’t want to embarrass myself. Is there a difference between a fictionkin and a regular kin? I know a regular kin is a person from a media that a person heavily relates to, (like rise leo in my case) but I was wondering if a fictionkin meant the same thing, or if it’s totally different? (I’m sorry for sounding so uneducated, I just never really understood what Google was telling me)

hello! not to worry, its totally okay to not know everything and to ask questions, in fact i encourage it :] so basically, kin is a term encapsulating EVERY kind of kin experience. fictionkin is specifically any kind of kin that is sourced from a piece of fiction! so this would include characters, species, and things from movies, shows, stories, etc. for example: hatsune miku (vocaloid), toothless (httyd), and the invincible (iswm) could all be considered fictionkin, because they dont exist in this reality.

you can think of it as two umbrellas; kin is one big umbrella, and fictionkin is a smaller umbrella inside the kin umbrella, if that makes sense. every fictionkin is kin, not every kin is fictionkin.
