I'm going to make a DnD homebrew module that is just a straight up kill dragons adventure, but the dragons just have barely fantasized versions of the names of the ten richest people in the world.

Heroes, you have done well in your defeat of Yef Be'zos. The deaths of the other nine dragons Biyonare and raiding of their hoards have brought great wealth and happiness to the smallfolk of this land. Their meat will feed us for decades. But now, we beseech you to defeat the eldest and greediest dragon of all - E'lon Misk. Please, he must be stopped.

New Things to Beware on the Internet

On May 3rd, Google released 8 new top-level domains (TLDs) -- these are new values like .com, .org, .biz, domain names. These new TLDs were made available for public registration via any domain registrar on May 10th.

Usually, this should be a cool info, move on with your life and largely ignore it moment.

Except a couple of these new domain names are common file type extensions: ".zip" and ".mov".

This means typing out a file name could resolve into a link that takes you to one of these new URLs, whether it's in an email, on your tumblr blog post, a tweet, or in file explorer on your desktop.

What was previously plain text could now resolve as link and go to a malicious website where people are expecting to go to a file and therefore download malware without realizing it.

Folk monitoring these new domain registrations are already seeing some clearly malicious actors registering and setting this up. Some are squatting the domain names trying to point out what a bad idea this was. Some already trying to steal your login in credentials and personal info.

This is what we're seeing only 12 days into the domains being available. Only 5 days being publicly available.

What can you do? For now, be very careful where you type in .zip or .mov, watch what website URLs you're on, don't enable automatic downloads, be very careful when visiting any site on these new domains, and do not type in file names without spaces or other interrupters.

I'm seeing security officers for companies talking about wholesale blocking .zip and .mov domains from within the company's internet, and that's probably wise.

Be cautious out there.

In order to play into corporate superstition surrounding brand-whore millennials, I pay no allegiance to any particular toilet paper brand. However, this has result in my purchasing of Charmin (against my best intentions, fuck naked the toilet bears) and now I’ve become self conscious about the amount of toilet paper I’m using. Is it less? How much did I use before? How much IS less??? If you don’t use less with the naked toilet bears kick your ass?? I can fuck the bears but could I beat them in a fight????

HEYYY the Steam Summer Sale has concluded, so I can finally share all of the fake game art I got to make for it!! Woo

The idea for this sale was to design a bunch of relatively convincing key art to hide in the Steam storefront, but that would be a little weird on second glance—Erik Wolpaw and Jay Pinkerton came up with the names/descriptions for all of Clorthax’s fake games, and then I just tried to match their energy in the final art.

This ended up being a whole lot of work for everyone involved, but it was such a blast! Super fun trying to make plausibly polished logos in a whole bunch of different styles/genres. I hope everyone got a kick out of finding each of these as much as we did making ‘em 😎👍🏼
