It’s been a really long time since I wrote a review or posted anything here. I’ve been really busy with school and other things but fangirling of course didn’t stop at all! Been trying to catch up with new series tho!
Good Partner: Muteki No Bengoshi

I have been in love with Takenouchi-san ever since BOSS Season 1 and I have always enjoyed his dramas! He’s still so good looking I can’t believe it. Yasuko Matsuyuki is splendid as well (well, duh, her performance in Mother was superb)! The plot was interesting and I was able to relate to their personal life, especially their daughter! I’ll post my reviews on this soon as soon as I finish my other reviews? Look forward to it!

JUST FINISHED
Like I said before, I have finished a lot of dramas. And this drama that I will do a review on (HOPEFULLY SOON) got everyone so hyped up. Drama addicts and non-drama addicts were all talking about this drama. At first, I didn’t want to watch it because I thought it was all media-hype. Then one day, I decided to try watching the drama for no reason at all.
DESCENDANTS OF THE SUN

I’ve been a fan of Running Man for quite some time now so I can say that I know Song Joong-ki well. Of course, Song Hye-kyo is too popular to not know. Anyway, this drama surprised me a lot and I’m going to leave it at that. I hope you look forward to my review on this! (^__^)

JUST FINISHED
It’s been so long since I last posted a drama review. Unfortunately, I still have not finished my review on Top Caster and It’s Okay, It’s Love. I swear, I’ll post them before this year ends so please look forward to them! (^_^)
I also have a long list of Just Finished posts (My link “RECENTS” will show you my Just Finished posts so you can see which dramas I’ll soon make a review of). And I’ll post them in order, like before. I’ll start with this one: CODE BLUE

I watched this because the plot looked interesting and of course, because of the cast. I mean they brought all these young actors and actresses together in one medical drama. Who wouldn’t be interested? Anyway, I have a lot of thoughts I’d like to share about this one. Please do look forward to my review on this! (^_^)
I’ll post my review on TOP CASTER soon and I hope you’ll like it!

What recent dramas do you suggest I should watch? The ones with english subtitles please!!!
Hmm, recent dramas? I'm a fan of Doctor X and the third season's out. I think there's subs for all episodes now, though I'm not sure. Dear Sister also looks nice. Maybe I should watch new ones and do reviews on them? LOL. So yes, try watching Doctor X 3 or Dear Sister.

JDRAMA REVIEW
Bitter Blood (ビター・ブラッド) Episodes: 11 Genre: Crime, Family, Action Viewership ratings: 10.7 Broadcast Network: Fuji TV

Synopsis: Natsuki Sahara (Takeru Sato) is a rookie detective. He is assigned to work as the #1 detective for the Ginza Police Station, but his father Akimura Shimao (Atsuro Watabe) also works there as a detective. Natsuki Sahara does not like his father at all. After his parents divorced when he was 13-years-old, he was raised by his grandparents. Meanwhile, Akimura is a bit eccentric and a playboy with the ladies. This is in direct contrast with his son who is poor when it comes to dating. Akimura feels bad for his son for divorcing when he did. He tries to help him at work, but has difficulties approaching him in the right way.(AsianWiki)
Review:
The reason I watched this drama wasn't because of the novel or anything but because I wanted to see Takeru Sato's gorgeous face teamed up with Atsuro Watabe.

As you all know, Akimura and Sahara is father and son with bitter pasts. With Sahara being a rookie, he was partnered with his father and were forced to be buddies. Obviously, both of them hated it but worked together still.

They do a lot of arguing and bantering through out the drama and it isn't irritating at all. In fact, it was funny in all it's ridiculousness. That being said, I bet you already know what I'm trying to say and yes, I do love the cast.

The team was composed of stupidly good detectives and they all had their chance to shine in the drama. It's funny how all of them fight but act cheesy as well!

HIM. I must commend Mitsuhiro Oikawa for doing a really great job. His character really suited him and he really got me frustrated and annoyed. You'll understand me when you watch it. I swear, I literally screamed at him, at least once, on my computer screen because he really got me agitated. LOL. He just gets you so into the drama that you can't help but feel irritated as well.

Kutsuna Shiori also did a good job. I am not a fan of hers however I guess she did her character justice. Not the perfect acting you were expecting but she's okay. She won't irritate you in any way unless you're a die-hard Takeru fan who wants to hug him but just can't.

Atsuro Watabe was my best man for this drama. I love Takeru, don't get me wrong! However, I seriously think Akimura's character just brought the spirit to this drama. He makes me laugh each and every time and even made me cry when the father-son scene starts (the lunch meal). He just has the Sass! You get me? I'd honestly love to have him as my father no matter how irresponsible you think his character may be. His cool clothes and moves? NONSENSE. Just kidding. He did great, I swear.

And then, the gorgeous Takeru Sato. His acting was awesome as usual and if you ever find faults in this drama it's not because of him. His chemistry with Atsuro was perfect and I couldn't ask for another pair of hilarious buddies. Takeru, to be accurate, is a great actor who doesn't outshine others exaggeratedly. He's still the star of the show yet he doesn't outshine others to much and I think that is what makes him good. I really commend him for doing a seriously comedic drama and nailing his part.
On the other hand, some of the scenes will seriously make you laugh to bits and pieces. Especially the Elevator part which y'all will love as well. I do not want to spoil it so please just watch it quick! Lol.

The theme song was good and addictive, to be honest. I ended up singing it while watching this drama and even after.

All in all, this drama was great. I really enjoyed watching it. The casting; seriously I loved the cast. Their chemistry was perfect, the story was okay for a police drama and well, you wouldn't focus on the cases that much since all you'd think about is the relationship between the characters. The relationship is what got me interested, I don't know if it will be the same for you though. The OST was good. All in all, I really had fun watching this drama.

Rating: 8/10
If you want to watch a feel good drama, this if the one for you! Laugh your heart out, fall in love with Takeru's beauty, and feel like your part of this team, family, rather. For making your audience smile, good job, team! (^_^)

P.S. if you're gonna watch this drama, look out for the coffee and maybe drink some as well! \(^_^)/

Most of the pictures are mine, especially the screencaps. Credits for the other pictures and I do not claim them as my own. That is all! Please do look forward to my next review! I got so much in line for y'all! ^_^

BOOK ANALYSIS
いちきゅうはちよん - Ichi-Kyū-Hachi-Yon

1Q84 – a surreal romance nearly 1,000 pages long – sold 1.5 million copies in its first month after publication in Japan in 2009.

Murakami’s magnum opus 1Q84 has been long awaited by his fans since it has been released in Japan in the year 2009. Originally divided in three volumes, the whole thing was out in English in 2011. 900 pages and 400,000 words long yet people went crazy for it.

Haruki Murakami (村上樹)

Haruki Murakami was born on January 12, 1949 in Kyoto, Japan during the post-world war II baby boom. Haruki has received several noted awards for his fiction and non-fiction works. He was also referred to as one of the world’s greatest living novelists by The Guardian. He won a prize for his first novel, Hear the Wind Sing. Following the publication of his first novel in Japanese in 1979, he sold the jazz bar he ran with his wife and became a full-time writer. His unusual style has been called "mysterious and surreal," a postmodern departure from other contemporary Japanese literature. Not only is he an author, he is also a marathon runner and a triathlon enthusiast.

A “standard” Haruki Murakami novel will contain three parts: “otherworldliness,” loneliness, and a bizarre depiction of sex. Mixed within those three domains are the pet topics of Murakami drawn from the author’s life such as jazz, cats, smoking and a myriad of American pop culture references. It took Haruki three years to write and it is possible, on an 11-hour flight from New York to Honolulu, to get through about half of it. Mr. Murakami leaves many of the parallels in “1Q84” cryptic and dead-ended. He perceives, and we receive, and the reception isn’t all that clear. But 925 pages go by. And somehow, to quote Mr. Murakami as he quotes Sonny and Cher, for reasons that perhaps only he understands, the beat goes on.

The book centers around primarily two main characters, Aomame and Tengo. The story opens in 1984, but slowly the two characters who at first seem to be completely unconnected to each other transition into a parallel world where two moons orbit the Earth and the world is subtly different than the 1984 we were introduced to. These characters share a deep bond which connects them throughout the book. At its core 1Q84 is a love story about two people desperate to reconnect and find something they’ve lost.

Aomame (青豆) - Her full name is Masami Aomame but she goes by her last name, which means "green peas". As a child, she was a member of a religious cult named "the Society of Witnesses" and distributed religious materials with her family on weekends. She now works for an organization, killing selected men carefully and impressively.
Tengo Kawana (川奈天吾) - He is an unpublished novelist who works as a math tutor at a prep school. His mother died when he was very young. He is now often haunted by his earliest memory of his mother in bed with a man who was not Tengo's father.
Ushikawa (牛河) - He was hired to investigate Tengo and Aomame by Sakigake even though he’s not a member himself. Now divorced and separated from his children, he gives his all in his investigations.
Komatsu (小松) - He is the mysterious 45 year old man who calls Tengo in the middle of the night without even saying “hello”. He is an editor of a publishing company and has a good reputation. He is respected by everyone because of his taste and genius mind.
Fuka-Eri (ふかえり) - Fuka-Eri is her pen name, her real name is Eriko Fukada, in her manuscript Air Chrysalis or Kūki Sanagi that was entered in a literary contest. Suffering from dyslexia, she is extremely reticent, with an unusual, abrupt way of speaking, and what seems to be an apathetic view of life. She also has a hard time in school.

Set in Japan on April to December of 1984, revolving around Tokyo and Yamanashi prefecture.

- First person point of view: Watashi Stories (Female Point of View) and Boku Stories (Male Point of View)
- Third Person Point of View

There are a lot of quotes that I’ve found in this book and all are really nice. These are the three however that explains themselves more than I can:
“You can have tons of talent, but it won’t necessarily keep you fed. If you have sharp instincts, though, you’ll never go hungry.”
“… where I’m living is not a storybook world. It’s the real world, full of gaps and inconsistencies and anticlimaxes.”
“If you can’t understand it without an explanation, you can’t understand it with an explanation.”
I totally recommend this book. I didn't feel like it was draggy. If you're worried about the length, when you start reading, it won't seem to be that long. (^_^)

NOW WATCHING
I'm actually almost done with this drama. I mean, I am done with season 1, SP, and now I'm almost finished with season 2. But honestly, I don't want to finish it. I don't know why, but this drama burns my heart so bad.

I'd most probably do a review on this when I get the courage to actually finish it. Hopefully, I do. Let's see. But first I have to finish my review for Bitter Blood. ^_^
If it can be treated one second earlier, the heart might start beating again. If there is one extra helicopter, another life in danger may be saved. If one more life can be saved, the Japanese medical community may regain trust. There are more lives in this country that can be saved. The "Doctor Helicopter" system was legalized in Japan in June 2007. A medical team is dispatched to the patients on a helicopter to provide medical care in the field as soon as possible. One day, four young physicians are assigned to this latest medical system. The doctors experience traumatic medical situations, deal with personal ambitions, witness the fragility of life, and they grow personally and professionally. (Fuji TV)
Sorry if my reviews are still not posted. I simply do not have the time yet. I will post them as soon as I finish the thing I need to do. (^_^)

Review:
While I was watching another Korean Drama, I forgot which because it was a long time ago; I saw the trailer of this show. I really got scared and told myself that I shouldn’t watch it, even if I’m not that much of a sissy when it comes to horror stuff; it’s just that I didn’t want to watch a whole drama of horror. Going back to the review, I didn’t really plan on watching this drama but it got me interested.
Again, I will try my best not to spoil the drama because this is definitely a must watch. Like in my last Kdrama review, I told you that I’m Jdrama. But this, again, got me interested.

The beginning of this drama got me scared even if it was kind of funny. Tae Kong Sil’s apartment was featured and she sure was creepy as well. Joo Joong Won on the other hand will look arrogant from the very first time you see him. That rose cutting? I mean woah. By that time, I was wondering how they’d meet, well because they looked like complete opposites and all. Here’s how it happened. Joong Won gave, was forced rather, to give Kong Sil a ride. It was raining real hard and when she came in, Joong Won was totally stunned. He looked so grossed out about the fact that a wet woman rode his good-looking car.
Kong Sil realized that when she touches Joong Won, the ghosts leave her alone. She decided then to stick to him. On the other hand, Joong Won is really annoyed by the fact that Kong Shil is clinging onto him. When he saw her talk to no one, he immediately thought she was a weird woman but didn’t believe that she actually saw ghosts, resulting to him leaving her there.
However, because of something in his past, Joong Won decided to her as his radar. He protected her and of course, gave her salary. But before all that, she worked in his mall as a janitress. That’s when she’d always want to hide from all the spirits asking for help. That’s also where their love story begins.

So Ji Sub and Kong Hyo Jin’s chemistry was superb. I mean, they really match each other. Their love story isn’t the clingy type, like those you think should get a room instead. It started out as servant and master, something like that.
So Ji Sub’s role really suits his character. Considering that he wasn’t even the actor to do the role, originally. I still honestly think that this drama wouldn’t have worked without him. He’s so cute beyond all his arrogance. Seriously though, he’s secretly a romantic man. I get the chills not because of the ghosts but because of how much I shipped them when the drama was just beginning. He proved to me how versatile he is. I swear, he looks more handsome as the drama goes along.

Kong Hyo Jin, on the other hand, was new to me. This was the first drama of hers that I watched and I must say that she’s good. She captivates you. I’m not sure if it’s just because of her character, and how interesting her role is, or if she’s really the one who grabs your attention. I’d still have to watch some other dramas of her to judge that. Going back, she really portrayed what the role required her too. It was nice seeing her play the role with So Ji sub.

Everything starts, I mean, the cheesy yet not corny scenes start a few episodes after Joong Won takes Kong Shil as his radar. Like I said, it may become cheesy in some parts but I swear, you will not get irritated. Trust me because I not really dislike but prefer not to watch those kinds of dramas. I just don’t get in to it. Anyway, it’s really interesting. You’ll seriously blush because the cheesy parts come when you least expect it. Again, their chemistry was one of the factors on why the love story worked.

I must commend the ghosts. They really scared me sometimes. I swear, they give you the goosies. Their stories were interesting and I have a few favorites, the marriage episode and the shoe episode. I won’t give you the details but it is something to look forward to. I must also say that the make-up department did an impressive job.

The OST is brilliant. I mean, I’ve watched this like a couple of months ago, yet I am still in love with it. Touch Love by Yoon Mi Rae is just perfection. You won’t get enough of it, I swear. The lyrics, the beat, and the melody just blend so perfectly well together and there’s nothing more you could ask for.

All in all, this drama is really worth watching. You may think at first that it’s just like the American TV Series, Ghost Whisperer. Similar maybe, because she also talks to ghosts and helps them, like go to the light, however, this drama is so much more. It has really strong points and a few weak ones. I am not fond of the ending, however like my review goes, I still really like this drama.

Rating: 9/10
I recommend this drama to everyone who wants to just laugh, cry, and whatever. You’ll kind of feel everything in this drama. Please do watch it and be scared in a good way. My review was short because I didn’t really want to spoil it. I seriously am stopping myself from writing things about the scenes right now because I want y’all to watch it. The cast, the story, the setting, PLUS the amazing OST, here’s to all of you!

I hope you liked my review, please do send me feed backs! My next review will be for a Jdrama! Please look forward to it. ^_^
