This New job..
I started this new job at an assisted living, for dementia patients and it has been the best facility I have ever been to in years. I hate the workers but love the job. Its amazingly easy work, and very laid back. 😊 I get wicked anxiety when I feel stressed out at work. Insomnia go the max level.. Its terrible. But this job feels like it was meant to be on every level. 💯👍😁

🐺Vs 🐱
Working in healthcare is like watching a pair of alley cats fighting. Someone is bound to end up with scars, and a patch of missing hair. It's rough out there. 💯😎

New job...
So basically I’ve had to get titers and drug tested ..took up my entire morning. Because both locations were on the opposite side of town. So far…at both locations the nurses said “GOOD LUCK”…in the oddest way… Like I’m an inocent sheep going in to a lions den.
Well I gotta say it made me feel nervous. Idk how this job will turn out. Hopefully good. I can’t stand to work a shitty place where ur not even considered HUMAN. Just a robot.
The Lord knows what’s best for you, even when you don’t know yet.

I QUIT
So I quit my job, without having another nursing job lined up. But honestly I was so miserable at my past job. -under paid at $15 an hour. -over worked.. The med pass was heavy, and their were a lot of treatments, no help from supervisors. -floating has never been a "pleasure" of mines, it happened often. -poor management... meaning I asked for extra "charge nursing" training and got no where. -oh wait !!!... And threatening family members...oh yes... That incident and many others with the same family member went all the way up to the administrators. N all they had to say was "deal with it." -4 days of on the floor training. -NO GENERAL ORIENTATION -mandation So I just up n quit. I lasted 6 months, being brand spankin new.... I think I did pretty well. I found another job quickly "THANK GOD", it took about 2 weeks. FOR MORE PAY...$19/hr to be exact. 12 hour shift as oposed to 16 hr shifts on weekends. It's not about what's right or wrong it's about what is right for "you"....and you ONLY!!.. Because no one, n I mean no one (will or can) have your back like how you have your back. Honestly before leaving i weighed out my options, I had "many" long talks with my husband to see if we financially can afford it. Luckily it was only 2 weeks. And our bills were paid for the month.

MY NURSE MANAGER EMAILING ME TO COMPLAIN ABOUT MY NURSES AIDES!! 😤
I have 40 patients… But you want to bring to my attention that the nurses aides have not been clocking IN AND OUT FOR LUNCH?!!😤

It's just not for me...
I don't believe "the nursing home" is for me. So far I've seen more deaths than I can count, and JUST the SIMPLE idea that when we all get old we end up in some prison. JUST THINK ABOUT IT: 1.told when to wake up. 2.told when to go to bed. 3.told when&what to eat, breakfast, lunch, dinner and no snacks after dinner time. 4.told what to wear. That is if your with it enough to speak. 5. Have to confer with nurisng staff to leave. Signing in and out, but you can have as many visitors as u want --whenever. It's sad. It's all around sad. :/ DEPRESSING REALLY.... And to top it all...there's not much room for learning and advancing your medical background because it's all repetitious.

ANGELS are real!!
So I'm at work, I go on break, and in the bathroom a lady in a red dress brushes up against me, when I look this lady is gone. When I get back to my unit/floor, a nurses aide runs up to me and says "QUICK HURRY THERE'S blood everywhere". One of my patients was having a GI bleed. Massive amounts of projectile bloody vomitin. Soon right after he began to bleed through his rectal area. It turns out his wife passed away febuary 8, and here it is February 5th. It also turns out that his wife had a favorite red dress she always used to wear. I believe she visited me and allowed me to see her to give me a message," he was bleeding"-red dress signifying blood, and. that he will go soon to heaven where she is waiting.

😱😱😱
So today was crazy!!!😰 I lived to see another day.. Patient gets back from dialysis and bleeds a trail around the nurses station, holding his arm out. Trying to put pressure. Another patient starts having a GI bleed, there goes projectile blood, and faces with blood. 😱 What a day...
