I got a biothane tag collar for Glimmer from EXOPAWS bc I saw them advertising their new shop a couple weeks ago. I love it, the rainbow star rivets are soooo cute. ✨️

So. I ordered these 25mm long rainbow spikes because they were really cool. And they ARE.

But they're also way, way too sharp to actually put on a dog collar. Technically they've been blunted on the ends, but I still think they're sharp enough to cause damage if a dog moved in just the wrong way.
I have like 50 of these things now and basically nothing to put them on. So if anyone has any punk fashion ideas in mind please let me know lmao.

Heads up that I'm moving all of the pet gear stuff to @exopaws! I thought about keeping it all here, but I'd actually really love to be able to start sharing wips and other stuff over there.

Heya, I've made a bunch of new gear so I'm making a newer post, but my pet gear shop ExoPaws is open! As I'm still currently unemployed, this and art commissions are my main source of income right now.
I don't have all my gear type listings up just yet as making example gear is a little difficult with my limited budget, so if you need something you don't see listed just let me know! I'm also always down to take custom orders.
Rbs super appreciated! ♥

Heya y'all! I'm Kyle, and I make biothane gear! You can find my store here.
I do have a twitter and a tiktok that I update occasionally, but this blog is an attempt to focus more on wips, show custom stuff, and answer any questions.
FAQ under read-more!
Frequently Asked Questions:
If you have a question you don't see here yet, feel free to send me an ask!
What are the differences between Biothane and Leather?
Biothane has a bit more plastic-y of a feel than Leather, and weighs significantly less. It's definitely not a complete replacement for leather, but it allows for a bit different things than leather!
Why don't you use leather?
I would absolutely love to use leather, and I do intend to in the future. However, since I'm still somewhat new into this venture, I do not have all of the machinery and hardware necessary to work on leather. I have found that leather has an extremely high cost of entry that I cannot yet afford. And while Biothane itself is certainly not cheap, I have been able to invest in fewer machines to start out. Hopefully soon, though! I do also like the color range of Biothane more than traditional leather, and find it easier to be creative with in that aspect.
Is your gear safe for people to wear / Can people buy your gear for themselves?
I am 100% okay with people buying my collars and other gear for themselves! I'm a huge supporter of it both for fashion and adult usage. However, please ensure that you are using them safely, and that you do not have a TPU/PVC or Nickel allergy. I do plan to move to nickel-free hardware in the future, but have not found a reliable source for this yet. Biothane is TPU/PVC coated so unfortunately I will not be able to offer any alternatives at this time, sorry!
Will you make other adult gear?
Possibly! Currently I do not have any plans to list these options on my website, so at this time please just contact me directly if you have a project in mind.
