Michael looked at the jacket in his arm. “Let me try this one on, and then we can head out.” He was still unable to eat food, however he didn’t mind that much going with her. “And that sounds like a plan, and if he doesn’t say anything, then let me talk to him.”

❛ fair enough. ❜   she replies calmly, even chuckling at michael’s latter comment.   ❛ go try the jacket on. we’ll talk more about that later. ❜   it’s a semi-tough subject for pepper to discuss at times, for she knows tony is a busy man and that his life is less than easy to handle, but she’s still human. as his fiance, she sometimes wants more, but she’s slowly learning how to manage that as well as the man she loves.

“You shouldn’t need to bribe him just to talk about your wedding.” He took the jacket and began to look at some of the other ones, to get a better idea of what other options he had. “It’s something that you two need to discuss. Hell, even I got Selene to sit down and talk to me about it. that’s hard enough to do.” He still wasn’t quite sure how he managed it. 

michael has a point.   ❛ maybe when he’s not so busy it’ll be easier... but you’re right — you got selene to talk, and that’s near impossible. ❜   pepper chuckles, moving to stand beside the male as he looks through more jackets.   ❛ you almost ready to leave? we still have to have lunch. ❜

would he ever let this go? probably not            sensitive was right, pepper. “ yes, i want you filling up on the steak. a perfect display of your love, don’t you think? ” there’s a pause before tony passed a breath from his nose, pulling out his phone in order to do as she wanted and find them something new.

❛ no. i don’t think that at all. ❜   she’s unimpressed, but pepper doesn’t miss it when tony grabs his phone from his pocket and starts to search through it. with a soft sigh, eyes roll and she’s picking her fork back up to take another stab ( literally and figuratively ) at the steak before bringing a bite up to her lips in order to begin chewing. face twists ever so slightly, the burnt meat definitely something she can’t quite ignore. all the while, pepper keeps her eyes off of him, but continues to try and finish the bite for him. eventually she’ll swallow, but the woman is quickly reaching for the wine beside her plate.   ❛ there, i love you. happy? ❜

“Just bacon and eggs,” Tony said as he reached for his cup of coffee. He watched as Pepper moved around the kitchen. The litheness with which she moved reminded him of his mother. On the rare occasions when she had cooked for him, her hands had had that same delicacy. “We can skip the waffles. The doctor says that too many carbohydrates make a man gain weight like crazy.”

with a tilt of his head, tony flashed a wounded look. “ because i made it for you! ”  so much for a nice dinner tonight. it didn’t matter to him if he hadn’t cooked both sides perfectly, one more burned to a crisp than the other            tony had tried for her. didn’t the woman like sentiment?
