JARVIS is silent for a few seconds. he is worried about his creator, perhaps more than USUAL given recent events. “of course not, sir,” he answers, in a tone that is not sarcastic, but still making it clear he does not truly believe his creator. “however, i have already invited colonel rhodes for dinner.”

“ That doesn’t work on me. ” Sometimes, Tony Stark needs a reminder of just who James Rhodes is. Been here, done that, known him for way too long; and the ring worn for his ( their ) graduating class is only the tip of that iceberg. Eyes are fixed on him, warm and brown and purposefully soft. He knows the look. 

But, of course, the same could be said about him. Tough love was something often given; the once liaison put in charge as a means to try to control ( he listens to you, Rhodes, he’d been told ). Sure, Tony listens, but he also twists the arm --- convinces in his own way. Always starts with the eyes, and Jim’s always been that little bit soft. “ What? ”

The Happiest Place on Earth

It was a nice day out in California, and Tony and Steve's plane had just arrived in Anaheim. 

Steve pulled his suitcase along, grinning like a little kid. He slipped his hand over to Tony's, holding it as they walked to the hotel shuttle. They got in, sitting down in the back with their suitcases in their laps. Steve glanced over to Tony excitedly.

  "That's it, we're here. We're about to go to Disneyland," he whispered.

  "We're two grown men, superheroes at that, and I'm getting excited about going to a theme park."

okay so i just want to say just how AMAZING each and every person above has been for the longest time. we’re a close family throughout all of the negativity this community has seen ( kinda like the gallaghers, wouldn’t ya say? ), and i honestly don’t know where i’d be without them. we talk daily ( for hours tbh ), and we all have similar interests and thoughts, so conversation is the easiest thing in the world. i love you all so dearly, and i’m thankful for each and every one of you. funfatale: okay so i’ve only recently really gotten to know you ( like within the last handful of months, give or take ), but in that time i feel like we’ve really grown close. you’re such a kind and giving person, and you never ask for anything in return. you’re always there for your friends and you’re always ready to hear every side of the story so that you can try to remain a neutral party ( something i admire about you bc not many people are willing to be that person these days. it’s one side and that is the only side ). idk where i’d be without you, and also your harley is bae goals. never stop being u

Lost Dog

Steve hummed as he parked his red bicycle on the side of the driveway by his house, jogging up to the path that led to the door. He glanced around, whistling.

  "Hey, Peggy! Here, girl!" he called, slapping a hand to his thigh to draw her near with sounds. He bobbed his head around, looking for the lab. He frowned, stepping over to the bushes to see if she was sleeping behind them.

  "Peggy? Where are you, girl?" he called, hands making a circular barrier around his mouth to project his call. He sighed, shaking his head. Maybe she was inside, the dumb dog.

Further search and calling proved that Peggy the labrador was, in fact, not at the Roger's residence anymore. Steve had responded by creating lost dog posters with his number and address on them, and he was now off to put them up around town. He rode off on his bike, one hand on the handlebar and one wrapped around the papers in his arm. He let his dark blue conver trail on the ground, bringing him to a stop at a pole. He held the stapler in his mouth as he put the poster up to the pole, then took the stapler and stapled the paper there. He sighed, running his free hand through his hair. Hopefully, they'd find Peggy soon.
