I’m reblogging because I want people to know this:
We don’t owe the og creators anything.
And on a personal note: I will like actually, genuinely judge you if you erase Ticci Toby or Clockwork from your AU. Like… dude. Be serious.
Alright, this might be a dead horse, but the horse killed my family, and I am vengeful.
So here’s the deal: I found this garbage on the CrP Confessions Blog and now I’m pissy. I’ve been sitting on this post idea forever, and that confession dragged the corpse back into the room, so here we go.
Anon was wrong.
There’s no such thing as ā€œofficialā€ Pastas. Just because a story isn’t on the OG site doesn’t mean shit.
The only reason Toby ā€œisn’tā€ one anymore is because Kastaway said so.
Kastaway is a Nazi. His opinion is invalid. End of story.
And honestly? ā€œRespecting creator’s wishesā€ in this fandom is a joke. Laughing Jack’s creator is a pedophile. Bloody Painter’s and Judge Angels’ creators made CP. Sally’s was aged up for gross shipping. Jeff’s situation is a whole mess. Toby’s clock-obsessed girlfriend’s creator? A rapist.
So yeah, miss me with that ā€œrespect the authorā€ bullshit. If we actually listened to these people, half the fandom would be erased.
The truth is the fandom made these characters. Not the creators. The characters became who they are through fanart, headcanons, fanfics, ask blogs, comics, cosplay, that’s what gave them life. The ā€œoriginalā€ stories were just the spark.
We’re like horror fans who love Lovecraftian monsters but don’t touch Lovecraft himself. The creepypasta fandom reclaimed these stories without even realizing it. We own them now.
So if you seriously think we should toss away characters like Toby or Clockwork just because their shitty creators said so? I swear to God, I will smack the shit out of you.
Quick note before I crawl back into hibernation: don’t harass the Creepypasta Confessions Blog or the anon who submitted this. They don’t deserve that. What they do deserve is to be clowned on and dragged for that horrid take.
That concludes my sermon. Time to hibernate for another three weeks.

Jane & Jeff and Jeff & Jane
Hey everyone, it’s Lucas from The Workshop. First off, sorry for not posting much lately. Life’s been… a lot. Trying to balance two partners, personal stuff, and keeping up motivation to write has been a real pain in the A-S-S, and I'm a Creepypasta fan so I wasn't all there in the head anyway.
But! Here’s something I’m excited to share: new designs of Jeffery and Janelle, illustrated by Hailey from The Workshop. Please be kind and constructive with critiques, we’d like to get better and stuff.
✨ Update on Cuckoo Birds:
I've decided that I will work on getting the ENTIRE thing scripted first before posting anything. I'll still make lore posts and we're still post doodles and designs and make short comic stuff to answer asks of course(Speaking of which: Please send us asks. We are very desperate. I am very desperate.)
Imma try to be more active on this blog so it doesn't die at the very least. Thank you to anyone who's been following along for the comic and or its possible crash and burn, means a lot.
Peace & love from The Workshop āœŒļøšŸ’™

You know, I've been thinking about making a post like this for a while because I remember seeing a semi passive aggressive post that was saying "Mmm making Nina dark skinned isn't as deep as you think it is Mmm" and I think about that often because I don't think there's anything wrong with other interpretations of characters. But not only that fun fact guys:
I'm a Dark Skinned Woman.
( I would hope Emma, Nesha, AND ArachNyx would prove that, but you know, just in case it doesn't.... )
I'm a mixed dark skinned lady. My melanin is powerful except when it isn't, lol. But I don't bring this up to give you little details about me I bring this up because I grew up in early 2000s/2010s and I need to emphasize to you that growing up in that time actually gave me a lot of bad messages I had to unlearn.Ā
I had to unlearn hating Female CrPs.Ā
I had to unlearn hating OCxCanon.
I had to unlearn thinking Realism/Edginess was Better.Ā
And I had to unlearn the very idea that my dark skin made me ugly.Ā
CrP Fandom isn't the only fandom that did this but for the longest time because all I saw was light skinned/white passing characters, I thought I was ugly/unattractive. I used to only draw pale skinned, black haired, and blue eyes characters until, ironically, my brothers called me out when I was playing DA Origins. THEN, I started to embrace my looks.Ā
The CrP Fandom I feel contributed to this (I mean 90% of the cast is fair skinned, that is NOT a coincidence) and I feel like people don't want to acknowledge that this subtly sends a message because it's a touchy subject but I think since 2025 we're talking about ways to improve I think we should allow our characters to have dark skin or be diverse.
I came back into this fandom because I know kids still go through the CrP Phase, and the last thing I want to do is contribute to them believing their skin tone makes them unwanted or they should feel excluded.
Please write and draw characters as you like, but don't go around saying "Ugh stop drawing this character dark skinned. it's not that deep." when it actually does mean something to others.

šŸ“Œ Pinned Post šŸ“Œ
This is like my third attempt at an intro post, so make of that what you will.
Hi. My name is Lucas (any pronouns). This is my Creepypasta Workshop, because clearly, the universe needed another Creepypasta blog, so here’s mine!
ā“ What is this blog?
So far, I’ve mostly just been posting whatever’s on my mind, little commentary things, fandom takes, etc. But now I’ve decided to actually get off my arse and do something with this blog.
Expect:
AU content (finally)
Comic projects (with my gf)
Art stuff (not by me though)
Fandom takes
Maybe even character stuff
šŸ’ My Beliefs (AKA: What fuels this blog)
There is no canon in Creepypasta. Everything is valid. The Creepypasta Universe is basically "Here's a shit ton of characters and ideas, you do the rest."
There are no bad ideas, just bad execution, and this fandom proves that. If the original Jeff story gave us The MORGUE Files, then just imagine what everyone else could give us if we leaned into that a bit more.
Realism ≠ deleting cool shit. It means writing characters like Toby as someone with several disorders without removing stuff like the Slender Mansion.
The fandom still has a long way to go (supporting smaller creators, better representation for female characters, cutting out the problematics, etc.), but...
We’ve found our groove as a sandbox. This place is a weird little corner full of punks, hippies, and creatives doing whatever the hell they want and I love that.
If you want a deeper dive into these beliefs, here are a few posts I’ve written that I feel best show what I’m about if you want a more detailed version of what I just said: Realism ≠ No Mansion Realism ≠ No Mansion 2: Electric Boogaloo Reminder: There Is No Canon to Creepypasta and Frankly, There Shouldn't Be There is no bad Creepypasta & there shouldn't be a canon
🧠 My AU
This is something I’ve been working on for a while and I hope to make it the heart of this blog. It’s inspired by classic horror (think Evil Dead, Stranger Things, etc.), and it plays with decades. Like, certain stories happen in specific time periods. I’ve been toying with the idea of throwing characters into the Vietnam War or 60s suburbia just because why not?
(If I can figure out how to make a clean timeline in Google Docs, I’ll post it here eventually.)
The vibe I’m aiming for:
Horror with heart
Weird, rough-edged, sometimes wholesome
More creative than edgy
Less 2010s Tumblr-core, more retro chaos
šŸŽØ My Current Project
ā€œCuckoo Birdsā€
A comic remake of the early parts of IEPFB, but with my trauma written into it. So fun!
Tumblr media
(I made this in like two minutes) I'm not the artist, just the writer/director. Art credit goes to my gf. What I really loved about the original IEPFB was the found family dynamic, and I plan to focus on that specifically, the father-daughter relationship between Slenderman and Lazari.
It’s deeply tied to my own mental health journey, and how I’ve helped others (and been helped myself) through it. This comic’s not gonna be huge, I’ve got it outlined A-Z already. It’s basically a series of glorified one-shots.
This isn’t H0ll0wT0wn or Carnage Obscured. I’m not going that big yet. But I’m here to get my stuff on the map and start somewhere.
šŸ“¬ Ask Me Stuff
Please. Ask me stuff.
Ask me questions about the AU.
Ask the characters stuff.
Give me an excuse to ramble in-character.
I grew up on BaptismOnFire’s Ask Jeff & Jack series, and a couple of Ask Ticci Toby blogs, so this kind of thing has always been a dream of mine.
šŸ› ļø TL;DR
I’m Lucas. I’m 17. I’m autistic. I love Creepypasta, Evil Dead, Stranger Things, retro horror in general, and big ambitious projects that may or may not consume my life.
This blog is still under construction. I’ll be updating things, maybe even making a better intro post down the line once I really settle into this space.
But for now: Peace & love from the Workshop. āœŒļøšŸ’™

100% agree with you.
Meaningful content still exists in this fandom, but people would rather get mad at others for being horny than actually notice it.
David Near’s "The MORGUE Files" is one of the best horror audio dramas adapting creepypasta, made with love, passion, and skill. But instead of uplifting that, folks are busy crying ā€œporn-rotted.ā€
Writing and reading porn is fine. Critiquing badly tagged porn is fine. But shaming people for creating adult content in a space that’s always included it? That’s just feeding into the same rhetoric used to justify government surveillance and anti-sex-ed laws all under the fake banner of ā€œprotecting kids.ā€
But that’s some real-world mumbo jumbo I’m not getting into on my CrP blog.
Let people create or get out of the way.
Tumblr media
Not reblogging since I don't want to include the confessions blog, they're a neutral party and I'm not gonna include them in the fight I'm starting
But this is what I mean when I say some of youse would not have survived the early fandom Quotev/wattpad.
Writing porn is okay.
Reading porn is okay.
Writing porn just because you want to masturbate is okay.
Reading porn just because you want to masturbate is okay.
Only engaging in a fandom to write porn is okay.
Only engaging in a fandom to read porn is okay.
Writing porn can help you work through shit.
Reading porn can help you work through shit.
Writing porn can help you understand your boundaries.
Reading porn can help you understand your boundaries.
Writing porn can help you understand to separate fiction from fantasy.
Reading porn can help you understand to separate fiction from fantasy.
Writing porn can be character exploration.
Writing porn is meaningful content.
We are literally watching as the internet is being use to silence any and every dissenting opinion under the guise of 'protecting the children' and using banning porn as the hammer, I'm begging you guys to not play into that rhetoric.
It is just as dangerous to demonise writing porn as it is to equate liking fictional murders to condoning real murders.
And yes some porn can be harmful, but if it's written, that factor goes down so much. You are allowed to get mad at people for not tagging their shit properly, but calling people the fandom 'porn rotted' is just untrue.
Once again I find myself defending something I don't like/not interested in against something actively dangerous.

This post needs more attention.
Please read this, reblog it, tag the Hell out of it. I am making this reblog for the sole purpose of spreading awareness and supporting the victim's as I don't think this has enough attention. Nothing I say here is meant to overshadow the victim, just to help spread awareness.
I truly believe that a lot of the people defending Dani’s ā€œrightā€ to keep Clockwork’s story unchanged don’t even know who they’re defending. That doesn’t excuse it, but I think it explains why it’s happening. And if that’s the case, especially if they’re younger fans, then it’s on us as a community to speak up, guide them, and help them understand why this defense is harmful. That’s our responsibility.
I have some thoughts about Clockwork and the future of fan characters like her, but now’s not the time. I’ll be making a separate post when it is.
For now: support the victim, spread the truth, guide the misguided, and protect your community.
Peace & love from the Workshop āœŒļøšŸ§”
Clockwork Fans, We Need To Talk About This.
The first thing I would like to make absolutely clear is that I am not trying to speak over the victim, but raise their voice. They have talked about this on their Tumblr at least three times, and unfortunately, those posts aren’t getting the attention they deserve. So, as someone with a decently sized following, I would like to help raise awareness about this issue.
TW for SA.
Here are links to the posts. I am so sorry this happened to you. Thank you for coming forward about this.
Now, I think some of you may already have an idea about the topic I’m about to address…
We need to stop defending Clockwork’s story like it’s some sacred text.
Yes, acknowledge that Clockwork is canonly a victim of SA/CSA. Yes, acknowledge that Dani was a victim of these things as well.
But we need to stop harping on/attacking people for rewriting/changing the story any which way just because she was a vent oc. HER CREATOR SEXUALLY ABUSED SOMEONE WHEN THEY WERE A CHILD.
I think the conversation we have to have now is similar to the one about Jeffrey Hodek months before… how do we approach/move forward with this?
In my personal opinion, I think it’s okay if people wish to keep the story the way that it is. But it’s also okay if people want to rewrite it because of this situation.
However, I think we should also acknowledge that because of the actions of Dani, people may not want to use Clockwork at all anymore. And we need to respect that.
Please support the victim. Help spread their posts so more people can be aware about what is going on. Be kind and respectful to one another.

Not really rules per say just write/draw him how you envision him in your AU or how you interpret him, and dig into his npd if you wanna, you also don't have to change his last name, but you can if you want him to stand out more. Just don't stress too much.
Tumblr media
I want to make my own Jeff, like a version of him, but I’m not exactly sure what to do or how I’m supposed to do it, like is there any rules to it? (Don’t they all have different last names?) I know I’d want to dig deeper into his npd. But I want him to stand out but not too much you know? Like I want him to be unique but recognizable.

Realism ≠ No Mansion 2: Electric Boogaloo
Hi! It’s me! Lucas: the guy who just posts and still doesn’t quite know what to do with this blog.
If you’ve been around a while, this is kind of a loose sequel to this post I made a while ago about realism in Creepypasta. (You don’t need to read it to get this one—but hey, it’s there if you want the full saga.)
So, I saw two confessions on the crp confessions blog, you can see them here and here, and they made me mad. Like, really mad.
So let’s talk about them.
Then I’m gonna explain what realism SHOULD mean. Ya got that? K good.
1ļøāƒ£ Eyeless Jack ≠ Emotionless Jack
ā€œHe’s a demon now so why would he be emotionalā€¦ā€
WTF do you even mean. What are you on about? Have you just not heard of nuance?? Or like… any vampire story that wasn’t Twilight?
Let me set the record straight:
šŸ’€ Being a demon, eldritch abomination, or cannibal does NOT make you immune to nuance. It’s very possible that Jack would still act like a person, because he used to be one.
Let him mourn. Let him bond. Let him feel. Just because he’s cold on the outside doesn’t mean he has to be hollow on the inside.
It is a true testament to how uncreative people can be that they cannot comprehend a non-human having human traits. That’s literally the entire point of horror sometimes.
2ļøāƒ£ The Slender Mansion Is Not the Problem, Your Laziness Is
ā€œThe mansion trope is unrealistic šŸ˜ā€
Oh, so now realism matters in the world of faceless teleporting demons and immortal serial killers??
Here’s the deal: People keep confusing ā€œI don’t like this tropeā€ with ā€œthis trope is unrealistic,ā€ and it’s driving me insane.
You’re allowed to not like the Slender Mansion trope. But don’t act like it’s inherently flawed or unrealistic just because you’ve only seen it done badly.
There are SO many ways to write it well:
šŸšļø Maybe Slenderman built it over decades 🧠 Maybe he brainwashed or manipulated people to build it šŸŒ€ Maybe it’s a pocket dimension šŸ‘ļø Maybe he needs it to keep tabs on dangerous entities āš”ļø Maybe the tension of them all hating each other is the point
You can write all of this in a grounded, character-driven way. But you have to actually write it.
ā€œRealismā€ doesn’t mean they hate each other forever. It doesn’t mean they’re emo, sad, edge monsters who stab each other on sight. It means asking why they don’t, and writing that reason.
āš–ļø What Realism Should Actually F**ing Mean*
Creepypasta thrives on creativity and new interpretations. That’s what made this fandom so fun in the first place. But now? We’re just letting it rot.
People want ā€œrealismā€ but what they really mean is ā€œI want every character to be bland, edgy, traumatized, and incapable of emotional complexity.ā€
So let me say it clearly:
šŸ”Ž REALISM SHOULD MEAN:
🧠 Exploring Toby’s disorders beyond just CIPA and Tourette’s
(And actually getting ALL OF them right for once.)
🩸 Understanding Nina’s psychology and how she either evolves past it or is consumed by it instead of reducing her to a fangirl stereotype
(IRL, people idolize murderers all the time, this isn’t a stretch.)
šŸ–¤ Giving even characters like Slenderman nuance and motivation
(Let him be terrifying, but let him have a reason.)
šŸŽ Writing Sully as a person and not some cartoon evil/edgy alter-ego
🧠 Realism should mean digging deeper. Getting creative. Telling stories that hit.
šŸ’„ Not This Bland, Flavorless, tasteless, generic, lazy Hellscape
Realism is not:
Taking all the fun stuff away
Erasing the mansion
Removing supernatural elements
Making everyone sad, edgy, and miserable with no room for connection
Making every character a hate machine who murders on sight
Realism is not an excuse to make every take dry, boring, and completely devoid of heart.
If you’re gonna write realism, do it right.
Get creative. Think it through. Don’t dismiss ideas because you can’t write a reason for them to work. If someone wants to write a mansion AU, a found family, a Slenderdad arc, LET THEM.
We are in a fandom built on creativity and horror, not bland elitism.
Thanks for coming to my TED Talk. And if you’re mad at me: I live in the Slender Mansion, come find me.

This hits so hard for me. I am genuinely afraid of kickstarting my own AU and blog in general because I am so afraid that after putting my heart and soul into something, it will get nothing. I feel that as a community, we really ought to reach out to each other and support each other and stop gatekeeping because my God, is this painfully true about this fandom.
I feel like the Creepypasta fandom isn’t as supportive as they like to think they are. I see a lot of people talk about how they love the diversity of the Creepypasta fandoms views on the same characters but I see so many legitimately creative rewrites, and artist flop and get none of the attention they deserve.
Of all the fandoms I've been in creepypasta has the least middle ground for post engagement. Either the entire fandom is in the notes or the post has 2 likes and 1 reblog.
It just flabbergasts me that a fandom that lots of people pride themselves on creativity and different interpretations of characters is so unsupportive to a vast majority of its creators.Ā

THIS!!!! Literally: The only time Creepypasta as a fandom has THRIVED is when we weren't so gatekeep-y! Just accept that Creepypasta is "Here's a shit ton of characters and concepts; you do the rest." and we. Are. THRIVING. Just let people have fun!
I just like seeing everyone's interpretation, man
Nobody's headcanon is correct or incorrect
That's the fun of the fandom and the fun of writing, and I really hate seeing people try to suck it out of the fandom
Sure, add a spice of realism to your headcanons - that's what I do
But don't bully or harass people because it's not a certain way or this or that
Besides; almost every Creep has unrealistic shit in their stories - that's the fun of it!
You get to do your own spin on things and it's fucking fun!
And it doesn't have to be fully 100% realistic! Sure, it can be, but you don't have to feel pressured to make it one way or another - fully realistic or fully not realistic (I don't remember the word, forgive my English)
Write your own interpretations, get out there and do things, do what you want, write what you want, draw what you want, and don't let others drag your shit down because it's "not correct" or "bad". As long as it's made with passion, it has the ability to be great.
TL;Dr: do what you want. Don't let anyone else tell you what you can or can't do

Realism ≠ No Mansion
So I saw a confession on the Creepypasta Confessions blog and I am pissed.
First off, to be clear: I’m not trying to attack anyone personally. But I am extremely tired of people throwing around takes like this and calling it ā€œrealismā€ because it’s not. It’s uncreative and borderline gatekeeping.
This is gonna be a long one. Buckle up:
🚫 Saying ā€œJeff would kill everyoneā€
That’s not realism. That’s avoiding the question of why he might not. You’re dodging character complexity in favor of edge.
šŸ‘ Saying ā€œEyeless Jack only sees others as preyā€
That’s not realistic. It’s ignoring that even monstrous characters might have nuance or boundaries, or that he might recognize other cursed beings as more than meat.
šŸŽ® Saying ā€œBEN Drowned only sees others as pawnsā€
You're writing off any chance of him forming actual relationships or attachments.
šŸŽŖ Saying ā€œLaughing Jack sees them as entertainmentā€
Again, yeah… until he doesn’t. What happens when the entertainment fails? What happens when he connects? Explore that.
šŸ’‹ Saying ā€œNina only cares about Jeffā€
Okay, and what about after? What about growth? What about disappointment or found family? You’re locking her character in amber.
ā° Saying ā€œClockwork and Toby are too insane to get alongā€
So… you’ve never heard of shared trauma bonds, dissociation, or neurodivergent kinship, huh? They're more than their instability.
šŸ‘§ Saying ā€œSally won’t trust anyoneā€
Great. That’s the start of a story. What about the arc? Who does she learn to trust? What brings that wall down?
🌲 Saying ā€œSlenderman isn’t a father figure to everyoneā€
Sure. But why can’t he be one to someone? Who sees him that way? What does he feel about that? Explore the dissonance, not just the denial.
šŸ”„ ā€œRealismā€ Isn’t an Excuse to Be Boring
I’m sorry you couldn’t think of ways these characters might grow, clash, bond, or just coexist without stabbing each other, but don’t act like that’s realism.
Here’s some so-called ā€œrealisticā€ reasons for why Slenderman might have a mansion just pulled out my ass just right now:
Maybe it’s not his, it’s just a convenient base
Maybe he built it to contain or protect his proxies
Maybe a proxy built it for him
Maybe it’s just a house from when he was human, if you roll with that theory
Why might Jane and Jeff exist in the same space?
Slenderman's forcing them to
Jane’s forgiven him, Jeff doesn't have to stay evil
She’s forgotten what he did, Slenderman gave Toby amnesia why not her?
You can write any of this in a grounded, character-driven way. ā€œRealisticā€ doesn’t mean ā€œeveryone is alone and evil forever.ā€ It means understanding why they’re not.
šŸ’” This Mindset Hurts New Creators
What pisses me off the most is that someone who wants to write a ā€œrealistic AUā€ might see this garbage take and think:
ā€œOh… I guess I can’t do that.ā€
YES. YOU. CAN. If you want to write a mansion AU? Do it. If you want to make them friends, enemies, exes, reluctant roommates? Go wild.
Just ask yourself why it works. Get creative. Build the bridges. Tell the story. Stop saying "this can't work." And say, "How can this work?"
Don’t let boring people kill possibility and call it "canon."

It’s the aesthetics, man. Blood-stained hoodies? Match. Who knew. But honestly? It’s mostly because there’s no content.
"Boo woo my ship is underrated!" — My ship doesn’t EXIST. No art, no fics, no dead AO3 tag, no cringey Gacha video, nothing. Jack shit and Jack left town.
But I get it:
People would rather ship Toby with literally anyone else.
Kate’s barely a character. She doesn’t have a Creepypasta bio, no backstory, no fanon presence—just a cool design and a ghost of relevance in a game most people forgot.
And yet? I still ship it. Because Kate’s an enigma. There’s nothing to her, and that somehow draws me in. She has no defined personality, and yet a weirdly solid fan presence. Why??
Also, why do people see her and Toby as siblings?? Like, what’s there that suggests that dynamic? There’s not even enough of Kate to build a case for that. I'm genuinely curious.
Anyway, I just hope I’m still on this ship when I finally start posting stuff for my AU, and I wouldn't have slipped back into TicciWork or TicciNina. I know there are other TicciKate shippers out there, I just know it—and we’re all starving.
Hi so um I've been thinking about this and I wanted to ask... for the people who ship Kate and Toby, what is your appeal to the ship? I personally don't ship it because I see them as siblings, but I'm curious on your thoughts.

EDIT / CONTEXT ADDITION: For anyone jumping into this without the full thread, this post was originally a response to a confession on the Creepypasta Confessions blog. Someone was praising Bloody Painter and DeluCat like they were top-tier horror icons, without mentioning the very serious issues surrounding DeluCat’s past behavior.
That’s what lit the fire under me. It’s not just about mid-tier Creepypasta; it’s about who the fandom is choosing to uplift without scrutiny.
You can see the original confession here
Just wanted to clarify that, because context matters.
I wasn’t gonna say anything, but I saw a Creepypasta confession praising Bloody Painter and BEN Drowned like they’re top-tier icons — and I can’t let it slide.
But praising DeluCat without even mentioning the fact they’ve done seriously horrid stuff? Yeah. That’s not it.
šŸ‘‰ Callout explaining all here
I get that the anon might not have known, but that’s exactly why awareness matters. People should know who they’re uplifting.
Now for the opinionated part (and yeah, I’m going to frame it like a fact but I know it’s ultimately my take):
Bloody Painter isn’t special. He’s not deep. He’s not clever. He’s not iconic.
He just leaned into the ā€œanime boy horror OCā€ aesthetic early before fandom could force it onto him like it did with other characters.
That doesn’t make him worthy of his own fandom.
Having a dating sim and some extra polish doesn’t magically elevate mid-tier horror writing into a masterpiece.
BEN Drowned?
The original concept was tight, creepy, and emotionally loaded a dead kid haunting his favorite game. That had teeth. That had heart.
Then the ARG turned it into AI hiveminds, secret cabals, fragmented timelines, and lore for the sake of lore because Jadusable never learned the phrase ā€œless is more.ā€
It drowned what made the story powerful in the first place.
I’m not trying to be toxic or petty. I really do mean that. I love this genre. I love this messy, spooky little fandom.
But this take? It’s painfully misguided.
Creepypasta was never about polish or perfection. It was always chaotic, inconsistent, half-baked and we loved it anyway.
It thrived because the fans reimagined it, rewrote it, gave it new meaning.
Stop acting like anime-boy aesthetics or bloated ARG lore automatically make something ā€œbetterā€ or more deserving of praise.
Creepypasta doesn’t need idols. It needs a community.
And it needs fewer people on high horses pretending their faves are holy scripture.

Note
Okay but no.
This take misses so much context, it physically hurt to read.
šŸ‘‰ [Full post here] if you want to know why Bloody Painter isn’t that deep, BEN Drowned drowned itself in lore, and Creepypasta deserves better than idol worship.
I think Bloody Painter, and Ben Drowned should have their own fandom.
Since Bloody Painter already has his own stuffs: Dating Simulator, anime styled artworks, he is also beautiful too, and he should have manga and even anime. I’m glad that DeluCat created such masterpiece, and he needs his anime show. Thank you, DeluCat.
As for Ben Drowned stuffs, I feel like Ben Drowned Arg needs an official cartoon show. Would be cool if they had actual official animated horror series. Thanks, Jadusable also. I appreciated digital horrors pretty much. Since Ben Drowned Arg fandom is already rise.
I love those masterpieces ✨✨

Would like to apologize for not mentioning this in my original post. Thank you for bringing it up.
While I stand by the idea that Creepypasta has no and shouldn't have a canon and should invite creative freedom, that doesn’t mean everything goes. We should absolutely be more careful with OCs, especially lesser-known ones, and with characters whose creators are still around, engaged, and haven’t crossed any lines (like, y'know… being actual creeps).
There are also certain core aspects that deserve to be preserved or respected, like Jane being a lesbian, or meaningful backstories that speak to deeper themes.
It’s about balance. We can explore wild AUs, write mansion sitcoms, and still uphold respect for creators and foundational identity moments. Both matter.
Reminder: There Is No Canon to Creepypasta and Frankly, There Shouldn't Be
I already made a post about this (it was actually my first one), but I have gotten better at conveying what I'm trying to say here. I don’t know how many people will actually see this, but I hope some do because I think this is really important given how the fandom is going these days.
There is no canon to Creepypasta.
Did you really think the people who made Slenderman or Jeff the Killer planned for them to star in an AMV where they battle to the death with Fall Out Boy playing? Or that they’d be featured in cute ship animations and oWo storylines? Of course not. And the same goes for nearly every character in this space.
But people kept creating. We invented the idea of a shared universe. We gave it lore. We gave it depth. We gave it ships, AUs, Proxies, tragic backstories, and haunted mansions.
There. Is. No. Canon. There never was, and there never will be. And that’s a good thing.
We can do whatever we want with these characters. We already do.
Want a model for this? Look at the SCP Foundation. It’s got hundreds of characters, monsters, and stories and no true overarching timeline. Many of those stories contradict each other, and that’s the point. SCP works because it embraces creative freedom. Creepypasta can do that too.
In fact, calling things ā€œheadcanonsā€ doesn’t even make sense when there’s no actual canon to begin with. If your ā€œheadcanonā€ changes a backstory, a relationship, or the emotional tone of the world, it’s an AU. And that’s not bad! AUs are where the most fun happens.
Jeff and Liu can be brothers or enemies. BEN Drowned can be a dead kid or whatever AI hivemind he was in the ARG. Slenderman can be a Lovecraftian nightmare or a weird neutral forest God. You can write horror, slice of life, romantic drama, or comedy.
We don’t need a Creepypasta wiki like SCP has, but if we had something like that? Something that gave space to all these alternate takes without arguing what’s ā€œtrueā€? It could help.
Because at the end of the day, we should feel free to tell whatever the Hell stories we want with these characters and the universe. IF ANY!
You can just have owo Yaoi, Yuri, and whatever a "straight" ship is! You want slice-of-life shenanigans in a mansion Slenderman owns for some reason? GO. FOR. IT. It’s valid.
There’s no canon. There’s only you, your weird brain, and the stories you want to tell.
Thank you for reading.
