Wesley's story takes place hundreds of years after Soren's. He was trapped in Eira's lantern with Salamander until he could finally venture outside.

The world has shifted from progress to a type of Dark Ages. Stagnation of both scientific and arcane has caused the peoples to look at the magical with disdain. Wesley's appearance as Human but Obviously Not Entirely makes people curious but wary of him.

A carry over from Wesley's FFXIV Echo: He can sense the emotions of people around him. Since Wesley is Soren's first and only attempt at crafting life, his body is highly unstable. He'll experience physical transformation when exposed to high concentrations of negative emotions.

Wesley's trying to find out what happened to his dads and the world.

Wesley is VERY self-conscious about not being More Human.

It actually became real for realsies since I "headcanoned" this. Can't believe I played myself yet again!

Headcanon of my own story: Soren and Lux craft Wesley from their essences.

Will remain a hc because Soren and Lux are not built for parenthood. Soren is a professor and Lux is always out on dangerous work trips. Wesley would end up raised by a ghost? and a bird? Not exactly ideal. lol

I know I don't shut up about this but frankly not enough people are angry about the 5-day/40 hour workweek (and I am AWARE a lot of people work even more than that). I feel like a lot more people should be absolutely furious that we only really have two days a week and some occasional hours in the evening to socialise, run errands, do chores, or relax.

It's no wonder so many people are profoundly lonely and disconnected from their communities when maintaining a social life in what little free time we have is incredibly difficult. If you have kids, a second job, a very long commute, or other responsibilities, it's nearly impossible.

We literally aren't meant to live like this and I'll never stop being shocked how many people just take it as the natural state of things and don't want to throw a brick through a billionaire's window every time they think of it.
