Deeply ironic that The Final Shape is all about everyone gathering together; uniting against the Witness in the Pale Heart...
And the big finale is a raid race where many competitors are blacking out their screens to make sure that no one can see their gameplay and possibly gain intel on how to clear the raid.
#destiny 2#the final shape#salvation's edge#why even stream if it's just a black screen THERE'S NOTHING TO LOOK AT

You'd think that if you were going to make a live-action Avatar, Korra would be preferable.
For one, Korra actually could use some extra screentime, and some rewrites. The cgi elements may actually work better in live action. The 3D models always looked a bit wonky to me, and with live action it could maybe be easier to integrate them. The cast would also be older, so less putting enormous pressure and expectations on child actors.

So is the Suicide Squad game really as much of a middle finger to the Arkham universe as it looks like it is? Because it looks pretty horrendous in terms of story.

Having just finished yet another viewing of Avatar: The Last Airbender, I really just don't understand why I would even want a live-action adaptation.
So much of the appeal of the show is the animation. So many of the jokes work becuase of the exaggerated poses, facial expressions, and unique timing that yoi can't do in live action.
And of course the settings and the action. So much stuff would need to be animated with cgi anyways that it just kind of confuses me why you'd want any live-action at all.
I just don't get it. And it all feels to me like the same old lack of respect that animation gets in... idk, "the West"?

This most recent Destiny community meltdown has me once again imagining how utopian it would be if Destiny was a singleplayer series. Never needing to interact with other Destiny players to play endgame would be so euphoric.
#destiny 2#lightfall#bungie#you could have squadmates like mass effect#eris could actually fight with you in crota's end and king's fall#elsie and ana helping you through deep stone#yall could romance whomever you like

With all the delays, we've almost fully rotated back to Destiny expansions coming out in September. Just a shower thought.

It is wild going between Destiny 2 and AC6.
In the former, if I want to make my guardian blue, I have to find a specific shader, many of which have very limited availability. Ada's available inventory is small, and only rotates once a week, same goes for Eververse. Shit, I couldn't even tell you which strike/crucible/gambit/iron banner shaders are still obtainable.
Meanwhile, in AC6 I already have 21 different custom colour schemes saved. I got the yellow-green/teal/magenta combo, plain red, chrome, dark blue & green, white/red/blue, orange creamsicle, desert camo, arctic camo, and so on, and so on.
#destiny 2#armored core#im still mad that beyond light had 6 shaders but only the flawless deep stone one was any good

I wonder how many Fromsoft fans are aware that Miyazaki didn't actually direct Armored Core 6.
Poor Masaru Yamamura gettin' no recognition.

This is something hyper specific to my already specific fixations, but V. IV Rusty's AC, Steel Haze, has the same colour scheme as the Gilded Smoke shader from Beyond Light.

It is a shame just how quickly the D2 playerbase lost all faith in Bungie after Lightfall.
Witch Queen had a pretty great year: the subclass/element reworks, 2 very nice dungeons, VoW and King's Fall were good, weapon crafting.
Lightfall made a lot of good changes too: loadouts, integrating champion stuns into the element verbs system, Strand is great. While I do think the campaign had weak storytelling, the gameplay was still good, and the raid is nice as well.
The negativity has just been escalating at such a ridiculous pace.
And if Lightfall WAS/IS (as some claim) a filler expansion that Bungie had to hastily throw together after deciding to extend the Light/Dark saga with The Final Shape, then shouldn't that be evidence that TFS will be really solid? As it's had more time in the oven???

Bungie really effed up when they decided to call battlegrounds battlegrounds instead of just strikes. Now a bunch of players complain about them being put into the strike playlist (ops playlist now), and being used as nightfalls.
It's frustrating because they're different from strikes in name only. They share the same basic linear structure. They're less unique than strikes tend to be, and ones from the same season all share common elements with eachother. But other than that, they're just strikes.
It's very similar imo, to peoples complaints back in Curse of Osiris and Warmind, when Bungie used the strikes as story missions. Players were mad, saying they were lazily reusing their story missions as strikes.
Of course Bungie has literally done this in every expansion since, and with very few complaints. All they changed was that they just call it a strike now.
It really is just a name thing.
