Ambient Chaos

Music is ambient chaos. A couple of notes that sound just right, played at a specific tempo in a certain way sound wonderful. But if we were to change a few elements of it, maybe play it a little slower, or maybe with the right emotion would change the course of your musical river significantly. Maybe a meander would lead to a new melody, something mystic and strange, maybe a delta would sound like the pleasant patter of rain as it cascades down the earth, creating smaller rivulets, each with their own story. A unique melody that ends in melodious harmony. 

The message of a chaotic piece is unspoken beauty, as it manages to capture what words cannot. Anger in powerful chords; worry, when you play an arpeggio a tad too fast, with a trembling hand; an overwhelming urge to find something to resonate with how fleeting it all seems, a chirpy beat for the days we’ll remember, quieter tones for a lower mood that you will.

Music can start anywhere, a few taps on wood to fill the silence, coupled with snapping your fingers with the right beat, to end up making something that you immerse yourself in, despite having not a clue for who, why and what reason you’re invested in this soft melody you’ve made up on the spot. A well timed whistle for the things that can’t be said aloud, something you’re too shy to disclose. The noise that plays in the background of your creative project, draws your attention towards the music even more.

People are a lot like music. Everyone at their own ease, or illdisposure. A rhythm unmatched. Your music is your identity, it doesn't matter if you can’t understand the music, because you can feel what is being said, the emotions echo within you. Each time you feel something, that’s your music, all of those confusing feelings have their own story and they will unite under a piece. The chords, the rhythm, the tempo, the notes don’t always make sense when you start playing, but you must trust the composer, trust the music, trust the art itself. For I doubt, most would’ve believed the night and day are companions, and so are the moon and stars, but who can now say they aren’t meant for each other?

So mainly, find inspiration always hits, for sm reason, when I'm staring at the wall in the shower. Not kidding. It's true. And ofc it usually hits me in the most unexpected places, like when I'm mid-bite in a sandwich 😁

More seriously, i get inspiration from the tiny things, like things you probably don't think about a lot, but suddenly they make a ton of poetic sense, yk?I try writing about what's happened to me, how i feel, things that make me sad and happy. Granted i haven't had a ton of things happen to me, so imagination usually makes up for it 🦄 Sometimes just questioning everything, being a Lil philosophical helps.

Lil secret: everytime I read a pretty good poem or book, idk why but the creativity starts doing its job, especially if couldn't think of something before 😁

Great question! Really just little pieces of my life in general. Usually people I've met and the experiences we've had. I've had a very interesting life so it's the easiest thing for me to write about. So many different ways I could word the stories, so to speak. And so many different stories. I have bits of my life I've never touched in my writing, though I would like to change that.
