Victim: Graham Rye
Time of Death: 4:20am
Time of Discovery: 5:14am
Location: Zipline Lake
Cause of Death: Cardiac arrest
Discovered by: Mitsuki, Desmond
Kyuu’s Autopsy Report: Not exactly the execution for a false prophet that I was hoping for. The calm look, how he isn’t just a heaping pile of dead flesh makes me sick! Why is it so neat and respectful!? This is murder people!!

CH.3 Investigation: Forever in your Dreams(cape)
Regardless of where you are, something happens to the collars. There is a metal clicking sound, three clicks, and then… thud. The collar unlocks and slides off of your neck. You’re free from punishment. Before anyone can take a bath or nap, your dating-pads go off because of course…
There was only one way to stop the punishments.
[KYUU: Finally~ Someone bit the bullet! I was afraid we’d have to find new contestants because you were a day away from wasting in your own beds! Well, a body has been found, you know the drill! Everyone to the zipline lake, please!!♥♥]
You all drag your own half dead bodies to the lake. The beautiful early morning sunrise is utterly ruined by the view in front of you all. Elishama lays dead on the ground.
“Well, it was only a matter of time I guess! Had to be someone and it’s everyone’s favorite little seer. I’m sure you all want to sleep and eat so let’s look for clues and solve this murder! SNAP SNAP!”
Kyuu leaves you all to do as you please. Guess the real question is rest first or find out who killed someone as harmless as Elishama.

Ch 4. Body Discovery
It is the early morning and against your will all of you are still awake. In just a few hours Kyuu will message you with a new punishment that pushes you closer and closer to the breaking point… But no one knows yet that it has already broke.
Mitsuki Hasegawa is either running with or away from Desmond Slater through the farmlands when they spot something near the lake. A form on the ground. They jog over to it just in case it might be another person too shocked to move but the truth is revealed once they get closer…

Well Fuck Me I Guess ||Trial 3.3 Elishama || RE: Kai, Rhett, everyone voting
“You’re- no- please, follow my logic-”
Elishama grips his podium helplessly, watching as the other contestants vote regardless of his plea.
“If we refuse to participate– Kyuu, may become bored. And let us LEAVE. There could possibly BE no future murders…”
His resolve weakens. He looks down at his rose, unable to bring himself to fight the tide any longer.
“… Though it is too late, I suppose. Everyone’s mind is made up.”

A Lily to Combat a Rose || Trial 3.2 || Elishama || ATTN: oh my god. Also Kyuu
So it was the lady of the hour after all. Elishama was relatively surprised at the painless confession, but less surprised at Imogen’s response. He’d found himself angry as well, mostly on her behalf, but then…
Norman speaks.
And it reminds him of something. A conversation very fresh on his mind.
“A lily…”
There’s a sudden CLONK heard from Elishama’s podium, and to any curious eyes, he’s taken off his mask and set it aside… clearly making a much louder display of it than he intended.
“Ah. I apologize… it was becoming unbearable.”
At least he’s learned to bandage his own face… they’re paper towels folded up and taped on, but there’s not much better that can be done around here.
“Now, to the point. Mm… it is true, that the consequence for participating in this murder game is… certain death. But why do we continue to play?”
That didn’t quite land how he was hoping. He fidgets with his hands, and continues to attempt to clarify.
“Er… have any among us… even tried to end the cycle? A vision was… presented to me, though I will leave the party anonymous lest their power be used against them… and I, I ah… I know many may not believe me or pay my interpretations any mind, as I have been… mm, cancelled… but! Please consider the possibility of refusing to cast your rose altogether.”
He glances to Imogen apologetically, then darts his eyes away.
“Please… do not mistake this for a cry of mercy on Miss Arisa’s behalf… surely her soul will burn in the darkest, loneliest pit of hell–” jesus dude “– I simply wonder if there… is a way to stop the murders.”
He then turns his attention to Kyuu, hands trembling on the podium, as if she’ll answer the question he didn’t quite ask.

Where were you on the day of today || Trial 3.1 || Elishama || RE: Kai, Desmond || ATTN: Everyone
Truth be told, this guy hasn’t retained too much of the trial. Given everything, it’s been difficult to focus; while he didn’t know either victim very well, the way they left off feels… bad.
The bridge between the living and the dead has been functionally burned down. But this begs the question– was there ever a bridge to begin with? All the deaths he’s brushed off and taken in stride are slowly recontextualizing themselves in the landscape of this new and horrible reality and WOW we don’t have time to unpack all of that.
Elishama grips at– the collar of his shirt, now that he’s not wearing his cloak.
“I… am inclined to agree with Sensei and Norman."
Whether or not omitting Desmond from that was intentional is anybody’s guess. He glances to Imogen.
"I… wish to believe in Theo’s character. Until I see… definitive proof, I will not change my stance. That said. Theo had… passed on, at 9:20. We did not discover the bloody scene until an hour later. The murderer had to have fled between here and… wherever they went in an hour’s time. As Norman said, they left behind proof that does not seem likely to belong to either victim. I believe we will not advance until we discuss our whereabouts.”
“For the record, I was con-… sleeping, until Sensei summoned me. Which… is not terribly helpful, no.”
He’s trying.

Ch 3 Motive Victim 1 Results: Delusions are Just That
Kyuu jumped off her perch on the box as Elishama dramatically revealed his face, and upon seeing it clearly, she screamed.
“Ohhhhhh noooo~! The power is too much for me! I’m going to wilt from your hideous, horrible face~♥”
She swooned dramatically, as if she might pass out, before her head lolled back with a condescending grin.
“Kek ♥ Nice try, mama’s boy~”
With those words, the rosy mascot opened the box, revealing iron brands like one would use to mark a farm animal. Kyuu pulled out two of them, and hopped back on top of the box to stand near eye-level at a dumbfounded Elishama.
“What? You actually thought that would work? Seriously, grow up.”
The self-proclaimed Forgotten Scribe appeared to be frozen in fear, and can’t even bring himself to run away before Kyuu pressed the searing hot brands onto his face. She kept direct eye contact with him for the seconds she left them there to make sure the mark was permanent, before tossing them with a flourish and revealing her handiwork.
On Elishama’s cheeks, now obscuring his previous tattoos, the words “FALSE PROPHET” were seared on.
“Teehee~♥ Well, what do you all think of Mr. Forbidden Scribe’s makeover? I think it’s an improvement! ♥♥ And hey, his mommy gets to go home safe and sound! I’m such a nice gal, doing you so many favors, Eli-SHAM-a~♥“
With a wink towards Elishama, Kyuu walks over towards the nearby wheel with everyone’s names.
“Anyway, let’s not waste time, onto our next spin! ♥ Where’s it gonna land this time? Let’s find out~♥”
She spins the wheel, and as it winds down, it lands on…

Like a Worm from a Bird || Elishama || Motive Response
It’s time.
Elishama’s decision was immediate, but once the time comes to announce it, he’s ready as ever. The contestants are summoned, and he boldly takes the lead. He seems pretty self-assured, at least.
“Remember everyone… avert your eyes. This may get… unpleasant.”
As they arrive, Elishama mans his place at his podium, hood tucked over his head.
Curiously, his mask is missing.
“Kyuu, I know not how you work. I know only of your power, and of the choice you have laid before me. What I also know… is that there was never a choice to begin with.”
He grips the edges of his cloak, before tilting his chin upward just a bit.
“You see… I came to this island, for one reason only. Many moons ago, I foresaw my living mother’s grisly demise… and in preemptively fulfilling her dying wish, I found myself here. On this cursed land, where apparitions of the dreamscape run wild.”
“While I admit I did not initially foresee the power you would wield here, I knew that only here could I prevent fate from putting my mother into an early grave. This naturally means fate would redirect its wrath to me… but know this, Fakemon.”
“I will not go down without a fight.”
Well that made absolutely no sense. All the same, Elishama grips the clasp of his cloak, yanking upward to remove it entirely with a dramatic flourish.
He tosses it to the side, then faces Kyuu fully.
“LOOK UPON ME, IF YOU DARE! THE TRUE POWER OF MY COUNTENANCE– Sensei could barely withstand it on their own; do you truly think you stand a chance!? I have to laugh!”
Sorry everyone.
“MAY YOUR BLOOD BE THE FINAL STAIN YOU LEAVE ON THIS UNHOLY LAND. BEGONE, THOT.”

Ch.3 Motive Victim 1: A Self-Fulfilling Prophecy?
About 24 hours after the initial announcement, you all once again receive a message from Kyuu telling you to report to the trial room again to continue where you left off from yesterday.
You all file in, finding Kyuu once again on her throne, a mysterious box next to her. She’s cheery as ever as you all line up into place.
“Well, you all sure had time to think, right~♥? I hope you’re ready for the results…especially you, our first contestant! ♥“
She tilts her head, making direct eye contact with Elishama.
“So, Elishama, what’s it gonna be? Will you take the punishment, or will your mother?”

Chapter 3 Motive Victim One: Stick that in your dreamscape and predict it!
Elishama.
His name, clear as day, lands on the pointer of the wheel. Kyuu walks over to Eli’s podium, jumps onto it, and pulls out a party popper seemingly out of no where and pops it over at him.
“And Heart Attack’s favorite prophet is first on the chopping block! You have 24 hours to come back to the trial room and make your choice. Oh! Also, if no choice is made then your loved one is instantly killed! Just a little pressure.”
Kyuu dismisses you all to go back to whatever plans you had today. Smiling as she tells Elishama that she’ll see him later.

Chapter Three Motive: Love Hurts, Baby!!!
It’s been rather quiet on Kyuu’s end, which can’t be all that comforting given the situation. You’re all just left to wonder what’s next. Four corpses lay somewhere on this island because what? Money? Secrets? What’s next to attack someone’s morals enough until they attack someone’s next. Your dating-pads ping one early morning, as if answering the thought.
[ Kyuu: Hello everyone! ^-^ If you didn’t slept well don’t fret ♥♥♥ Because we’re waking up with a fun start! Everyone to the trial room. Don’t worry! No dead body to touch and murderer to find this time. I’ve worked on a really fun crafts project I want to share. ♥♥♥ LET’S GO! ]
Crafts project? Curiosity or just fear of what would happen if you didn’t show up, you find your way into the elevator with everyone.
In the trial room you instinctively go to your podiums, staring at Kyuu standing in front of her throne with something three times her height that’s covered in a sheet.
“Thank you all for coming! So us at Heart Attack are promoters of love, but not just romantic love, but also platonic and familial love. Love for your family and friends. I think it’s time to test that love.”
She pulls the sheet and reveals…

Leave the lies to the liars || Trial 2.3 || Elishama || ATTN: Yuriko
Oh boy, the way things were going… Mitsuki’s crying, and now Norman’s upset as well… this was all very suddenly…
Real.
“Ah yes, everyone, if we all consult the fae, then we can simply, let the accusation rest– Miss, let us check your gramarye, and upon doing so we can clear your name if all is as you claim! I will take the liberty of verifying, as the screen is too small to be seen by the entire room, naturally.”
And then he extends his hand to Yuriko, as if this is a completely normal conversation and exchange.

Take off my mask || Trial 2.2 || Elishama || RE: Kai, Desmond (kinda) || ATTN: Yuriko
Oh right… alibis. The anger from investigation seems to have quelled, now that the suspicion is lifted from Desmond’s shoulders.
Still…
“In the interest of completion, I was woken from slumber at around…” he pulls out his dating pad and checks. “Ten? At that point I had messaged Miss L– Annabelle, and… made way to visit her. I needed to sort myself before announcing the grisly vision that ripped me from the dreamscape and into the physical realm.”
He flips his dating pad around, uselessly holding it above his head to show to the others.
“In that vein, I had… messaged the Wren bird…” oh now he’s getting forlorn again. “… while we talked extensively, he said nothing of meeting with me anywhere, other than offering to visit my place of dwelling. I-I also messaged Imogen and Annabelle, of course. As well as… er… mm, Mizuo. But that was brief.”
He shakes his head, quick to change the subject.
“Wren… he had mentioned that his own sleuthing had narrowed his selection down to one of the ladies… he had eliminated the possibility of it belonging to Rhett, and Imogen also said that she does not think Theo capable of such a thing… and, well…”
“I trust Imogen’s judgment of character.”
Jesus Christ dude.
“Though, if what… Desmond says is true, then that leaves…”
He glances to the podium next to him, and then its occupant. Not really eager to say what’s clearly on his mind.

Before I Cross My Heart || Trial 2.1 || Elishama || RE: Kai || ATTN: Imogen, Rhett, Norman
Elishama is a bit more put together this go around, despite the circumstances. It’s not as thought Wren is gone forever; merely…
Thinking upon it makes his head fuzzy. He quickly reroutes.
“Yes, of course Sensei, diligent as ever. It is as they say; those were the four choices given to the Wren bird.”
“… what you do NOT know is that, in addition, he consulted with myself." his eyebrow quirks in a way that suggests a smile, if most of his damn face weren’t obscured. "He stated that he’d narrowed the choice down to three, and planned to meet with one in particular. … Though if Sensei says it is not important to dwell on right now, I trust them.”
He taps his fingers against his podium, calculating.
“Let us approach this differently, then. Given what we know, one can assume that I was not the only one privy to the Wren bird’s intentions. Given what we found in our search…”
He’s hoping that the other members of his search party will continue that string of thought.

Pls no bully || Trial 1.2 || Elishama || ATTN: the powers that be
For a guy whose opener is “best me in combat”, Elishama doesn’t seem to take too well to all this hostility.
But the violence is quelled, and with Imogen’s impromptu speech, he starts to come back, though it’s when Kai speaks that Elishama decides to respond.
“Kh-! Yes, yes, no need for, for all of this negative energy… Sensei and I have made short work of this mystery–” he literally did nothing “–and now, now we can all rest easy. This never has to happen again. I am sure this Elt– er, this "Harvey”, must be deeply remorseful. However, he will have his riches, and his freedom, and we may continue to…“
Though it seems as if a light goes off behind his eyes, and he glances around.
"Ah… so… hm. Does… is the game over…? What now?”

The Come Down || Trial 1.1 || Elishama || RE: Damien, Mizuo
“S-s-self defense?”
It’s taken this long for Elishama to find his voice in the chaos. He’s glancing around the trial room, everyone’s voices blending together in a rather unpleasant and chaotic orchestra.
He holds his head, raising his voice once there’s a break in the conversation.
“The ah, there are… concerning energies in the kitchen… which could have incited a conflict… s-so even if the, ah, the riches and luxury were unsuccessful in luring one to act…”
He closes his eyes, concentrating his energy. This entire ordeal has him all out of sorts; the psychic damage is overwhelming.
“Nevertheless, alibis are in order. I saw the Wren bird myself, around the same time that the deed was done, yes? Not a drop of blood in sight. Regardless of the identity of the assailant, I believe my fellow diviner’s hands remain unsullied.”
Keep up with the trial, bro.
“… is… is that all?”
For all that bravado, he seems content to hunch over his podium and not say much else for now.
