Kinu leans into Corrin's hand, much like a cat enjoying attention. Oh she couldn't stay grumpy, even playfully grumpy, at him for long! If foxes could purr, she absolutely would be purring.

"Can you help me with homework at least?" she asked. "I don't like it, it fries my brain."

Maybe rewards for homework could be play too! Since her dad wasn't here to help or play with her.

For a moment, Kinu only revelled in hugging her friend. It felt like it had been FOREVER since she last saw Velouria. Best friends were best friends forever too though, so it was okay, cause Velouria was here.

"All the games!" Kinu replied excitedly. "Though some of them... most of them, I'm not allowed to play in the Monastery..."

"Kinu." Velouria approaches her friend, face stilled as she tried to hide how excited she was to see the kitsune girl again. (Her tail gives it all away though, wagging wildly against her control.)

"Kinuuuuuuuuuuuuuu, you're not allowed to leave me ever again."

"'Louriaaaaaaaaaaa, I'm sorry, I won't leave again, I promissseeeeeee!!!!" Kinu's whine was drawn out and matched Velouria's. She could only hold herself back for three seconds (three whole seconds! record!) before she tackle hugged her friend.

"I think you'll be the coolest teacher!" Kinu exclaimed. Gosh, she wanted to sit in on all of his classes and ask him all the questions and prank his other students and get away with sleeping during a lecture and— wait a moment.

"You aren't going to give me homework and detention are you?" she asked accusingly, though playfully, poking her finger at him. "I'm your friend, Corrin! You can't do that!"

Her pout returned with puffed out cheeks, though her eyes couldn't hide the glimmer of laughter.

Okay, the professor didn't turn her away immediately. This was a good start. She pressed her pout a little bit more as she stared at Professor Merric.

"I'm Kinu and I was wondering if you could help me practice magic," she said. "Seteth told me I couldn't do it unsupervised." And just to emphasise it further... "he says I might burn something..."

Please don't send her away, please don't send her away. Kicked puppy, kicked puppy. She was being a good student! Not chaotic like Seteth was saying.

Okay, so it wasn't like it was her fault, per see. She was just in the wrong place at the wrong time! Practising fire magic! Seteth didn't need to scold her for that! He's just a big meanie face with bad hair. Kinu kicked the ground as she walked, grumbling under her breath. It wasn't like she caused any accidents to happen. But noooooo, she had to be "more mindful of her surroundings" and "go and be less chaotic." Stupid Seteth and his stupid rules.

With a lot of people away, Kinu thought it would be a good time to practice magic so that she could be better once they got back. But no, Seteth wanted her to learn under supervision. Well then. She knew where to go then! And Seteth couldn't complain about it! Ears pressed backwards to emphasise her pout, Kinu made her way to the offices. Heading over to the door she wanted, she pulled her best kicked kit look, watering eyes and all, and knocked.

"Excuse me, professor..." she called, the beginning strains of a little fox whine in her voice. "Could I ask for your help with something?"

Because who better to ask about magic, right? Kinu wasn't bad at magic, she was just learning after all. Mistakes were bound to happen, especially since she was so new to it. The most she'd ever done with fire was her fox fire in her kitsune form. Hopefully it was only Seteth who was a meanie face and not all of the professors.

Kinu loved a good rumour, especially if it meant she got to fight something. Especially especially if that something was her own doppelgänger. The chance to fight herself? Yes please! So of course she jumped on this rumour about the sauna.

So of course she goes and fills the sauna with as much steam as possible and waits. When the door opens and someone enters, Kinu grins.

"Oh goody, I've been waiting for you!" she exclaims. "Fight me!!"

Blue fox fire starts to flicker around her, only adding to the vibe in the room. It didn't help her see any clearer, the fire just cast a blue light around.

"Rawr!!" With that, Kinu pounced, leaping forward to grapple the figure. She'd save her fox form for later if she needed it.

It took but a moment for Kinu to inhale her dumplings and be sitting there with a wide grin and wagging tail. That had been SOOOOOO delicious!! Now she wanted more! Of course, she'd have to get more ingredients, but that wouldn't be difficult at all.

Her ears perked up at the praise.

"If my dad ever makes it here, maybe I'll ask him to cook for everyone!" She exclaimed. "That might be a good way to repay many people at once."

Kinu had to think about the question of repaying the kitchen staff though. They needed something good. But she had no idea what she could give them.

"I shall have to ask them what I can get them," the little fox decided, decisively.

Okay, breathe Kinu, breathe. The little kitsune, though not little anymore, nor really a kitsune at the moment, took a deep breath and then another, trying to calm down. Ephraim wasn't mad at her, and he was right. As she calmed herself, Kinu started to remember the immediate lead up to this accident... right... that was what the professor had said...

"Right... only temporary..." she murmured. Gosh, seeing her own face in a frown was WIERD... But if it was temporary then she didn't have to get used to it. Wait... that meant that Ephraim probably thought it was weird when she did things as him.... gah this was a headache!! Kinu made a frustrated sound and shook herself.

Ephraim suggested them staying together until this issue fixed itself, and Kinu couldn't see much issue with that... except.

"I can do that, but what would we do?" she asked. Ephraim seemed smart, so maybe he had a plan that could make this end sooner? She felt far too heavy in this body, she wanted hers back. If she still had her ears, they would have been twitching with frustration.

Aww wasn't Corrin the bestest? He always knew exactly what to say! Kinu's pout very quickly turning back into a bright and wide grin. She bounced back a few steps and spun on her heel before bringing her hands together cheerfully.

"I'll just have to prank him later as revenge!" she declared with a giggle. "Anyway! It's so cool that you're here!! Are you a student too? Or a really cool teacher???"

Kinu was bouncing again, her ears and tail bouncing along with her and her hyperactive energy.

Kinu could tell that the words spoken were a lie. One could claim they weren't scared of ghosts all they like, but then claiming that one would rather not meet a ghost was pretty contra.... con...tra.... contradictory!! Contradictory. Very much so. At least to Kinu. Cause if you weren't scared, then why did you care if there was a ghost or not? Of course, she didn't say that. Just thought it.

"Well," Kinu hummed as the pair of them approached the cathedral. "What if we could help her? Like.... that might help her pass on properly?"

She wasn't sure how the ghost thing actually worked, so she was just guessing here. In the story books, ghosts were usually stuck in the place they died for some reason and they'd be freed if they managed to deal with that reason, sometimes getting help from the living. Oooooo maybe Kinu and Kurthnaga could be the main characters of a story!! That would be fun!

Impatience and hunger defeated Kinu as she grinned and then quickly snarfed down one of her dumplings. Hot hot hot! But so yummy! The little kitsune hummed in delight, ears twitching.

"Home food is always best, especially from parents," Kinu agreed. "I think it's the love. Parents always make their food with love."

And it was the magic ingredient that made all food taste better. How many times had her mum or her dad come and visted her and brought her their own cooking? Her parents' food was always the best!!

"Well, I guess it's a bit difficult to get everything for a certain dish when only one person is asking for it," Kinu replied cheerfully, in no way actually bothered by it at all. "So I offered to get ingredients for them and they were happy to make it then! I totally owe them something good for letting me request this."

And she would pay them back too! That was a promise. Her dad always told her that it was important to repay every kindness given!

Had Kinu been a cat, she'd have been purring. Her ears wiggle happily as Corrin messed up her hair. Though a little whine did escape her when he stopped. Come back head pats... ah well. Another time! Now was talking time!

Looking up at Corrin, Kinu flattened her ears as far as she could, let her tail hang limply behind her and stared at him with the most pitiful puppy eyes she could summon.

"I know...!" she said, drawing out the whine. "He's not fun at all!"

Maybe she was being a little bit dramatic. But her beaststone was her most prized possesion and no one was allowed to touch it! Besides, she was cute and adorable! Who couldn't love her?

"I hope there's actually a ghost!" Kinu chirped, bouncing a little as she said that. "Then I can play with it!"

And by play she meant fight. Fighting a ghost sounded fun! But also there was the story that this ghost was a bride. Perhaps fighting wasn't a good idea.

"Or help her find whoever she's trying to marry?" The way she said it was like it was an after thought... which it was. Though it was an after thought that she latched onto quickly. "Maybe there's a ghost groom looking for her! We basically have to help if that's the case!"

She looked back at Kurthnaga and grinned.

"You aren't scared, are you, Professor?" she asked, her eyes sparkling with a mix of mischief and actual concern. "I can protect you!"

The fox in her blood promised that! Hehehe, this really was fun for the young kitsune!
