Fresh from lacrosse practice, Mattson made his way back to his room. His usual bored expression present on his face, eyes wandering for an excuse to avoid the homework he probably wasn’t going to do anyway. Ideally, he was hoping for a leggy blonde, but instead all he found was a bunch of papers lying around and.. Fox. One of Mattson’s many annoyances. Not being able to pass up the opportunity to give him a hard time, he sauntered over to where the boy frantically tried to pick up what he dropped. “Ooh tough break,” he mockingly winced, a smirk slowly revealing itself on his face. “I’d try to help you out, but..”

          days like today were days that fox dreaded. ones where he had to deal with a bunch of people that didn’t understand him. sure he gave off the innocent kid vibe, but that wasn’t him. sure he wasn’t the most likable kid at the school -- and he was still kind of young, but he tried his best to be friendly and nice to everyone. some people just tested him. it was days like today where he unluckily ran into those people. the people that tested his patience -- the ones that were rude. fox dealt with his fair share of bullies throughout the years. from ones that made fun of him for his name to ones that made fun of his shy nature and slightly awkward demeanor. usually he gave them a run for their money. proved that they weren’t the people with the leg up. he could be weird and annoying back if he wanted to. at least he’d managed not to fall, merely trip. that would have made this ten times more embarrassing. he was lucky in that aspect; not so lucky that his papers didn’t go flying everywhere. it was like people weren’t even trying to help him out. why had he picked a school with a bunch of rich assholes? fox sighed when he heard the voice, wincing a bit. he looked up to see mattson. damn. maybe not as lucky as he’d hoped. “do you want something?” he asked, raising an eyebrow. “you literally wasted your time coming all the way over here just to tell me you weren’t going to help? for what reason exactly?"

ronnie: see, i'm not driving tho. i hired us a driver and somehow i doubt he'll drive anything more than 10 miles over the speed limit.

ronnie: you should be, i don't hand compliments out to just anyone.

fox: okay, well then cancel the driver and i can drive or give him more money? or push the dinner reservation and we can get a snack on the way there?

fox: GASP i'm special

fox: um, yeah. my emergency first aid kit is in my backpack at all times.

ronnie: and oh my god... you really have no clue how to do college correctly do you, little bird? this is where you at least make acquaintances in class who are good note takers and can spot you the notes when you choose to skip.

fox: i college correctly. i go to parties. i have smoked weed. i have had sex. what else is there to do???

fox: yes, but i don't trust other people to take good notes.

ronnie: jfc, 2 hours is too long. can't you just pack up your computer and work on it while we head up to lake george?

fox: i'm not a fan of the renaissance. like sureeee davinci is great and all, but ehhhh. hang in there. you've got a week

ronnie: but fuck that noise??? when do you get out???

fox: but art history is great! awww. i love the romanesque movement.

fox: 2 more hours. i think i've edited maybe 2 minutes of footage.

the girl was walking through the hall when she noticed fox scrambling around on the floor trying to pick all his papers up that were on the floor. she couldn’t understand why no one else was helping him instead just walking on the papers he was trying to pick up. kylie hurried over and and started helping him pick up the rest of his papers. “you okay?” she asked once she stood up again before passing the papers to him. 

          he didn’t mind not having plans for the weekend. it gave him more time to work on his own stuff, rather than listening to his father or mother talk about their current projects. not that he card if they did or not -- but he didn’t want to hear about it. at school, fox didn’t think he really fit in. he was young compared to some of the students and often felt like he was at a different place in his life than some of them. “yeah,” he nodded at kylie’s question. fox scrambled to pick up the rest of his papers. he half wondered if people were just ignoring him on purpose or they really didn’t see. either way -- at least someone noticed. the junior shoved them in his bag, figuring he’d sort them later. “yeah, i’m good. don’t worry about me.” it wasn’t the clumsiest thing he’d done before -- remembering a party a few years ago where he’d knocked down a table of champagne flutes that had been stacked, and he hadn’t even been drunk. “anyway, thanks for helping.”

          fox’s feet carried him towards his room in carlyle hall. the building loomed ahead of him. ear buds in, he slightly hopped along his path, not entirely dancing, but not walking like a normal person either. he’d just gotten out of his last class for the weekend, film editing, and he was looking forward to having the weekend to do something other than sit in his room. as far as he was aware, his parents were once again off filming in some remote location in france ( or something ). which meant that zelda would be with them and he didn’t know what elenora would be up to either. so -- it was going to be one of those weekends where fox didn’t have an real plans for the weekend. he side stepped to avoid, someone and tripped on his shoelace. “shit,” he said, as a bunch of his notes went flying in every direction. he started scrambling to pick everything up before other people started stepping on it.

          hello everyone ! i’m vex & im really excited to be here. excuse my very terrible intro post. i’m bad at these & i’ll get some wanted connections up for him as soon as possible. 

i could have sworn i saw NICK ROBINSON on campus the other day. oh right, it was probably just FOX KELLEY. the EIGHTEEN year old SOPHOMORE is studying FILM. i hear the CISMALE is in DRAMA CLUB, LGBTQ+ ALLIANCE, AND FILM and can be both FRIENDLY and RESERVED. maybe we should get to know them a little better. 

          fox kelley was born to a famous actor (rainer kelley) and a director (lila kelley). they were mostly known for their strange films (think wes anderson films). very artistic, very theatrical with bright colors and quirky characters. when fox was born, he was the second born to the kelley family and the media didn’t particularly care -- only that he’d been named after the famous x-files character, fox mulder. 

          his family was always rather close. fox especially with his younger sister, zelda. whenever rainer was filming some movie or lila was directing, the entire family would move with them. because of this, fox was basically never in an actual school. he and his siblings were all tutored. luckily, fox has always been wickedly smart. he graduated what would be “high school” when he was sixteen. 

          fox decided to head off to van patten because it was his father’s alma mater and it has a great film program. he doesn’t really care that it’s a school full of a bunch of rich people. he mainly stick to himself and being one of the younger students, he does often get mistaken for a freshman. 

          the only thing really tragic about his home life, would be his father, who is an alcoholic. the media knows this too and will follow him around whenever he’s out because usually something interesting happens. his father has spent many nights in jail. usually, when he’s home, he doesn’t drink, it’s mostly when he’s filming that things get a little hectic. 

          personality wise, fox is very friendly to everyone. however, he doesn’t talk to many people. he seems way more mature for his age than normal people his age. he’s totally not the party type, only because he doesn’t want to end up like his father and abuse alcohol. fox is not the type to stand up to bullies either and has been the target of many throughout his life. this is mainly due to the whole “homeschooled kid” vibes he tends to give off. however, he’s charming when he wants to be and really just wants to nerd out about films. don’t be too fooled by his doe-eyed nature though, he really isn’t as innocent as he seems. he’s been to parties ( just doesn’t drink at them ), he’s not a virgin, and while he hasn’t done any of the “hardcore” drugs, he has smoked weed before.
