OKAY LMAAOO I got (sorta) permission to make self insert ship art for an assignment. BOOYAAAAA.

Its gonna be me and raul. For the assignment itself, im gonna not make it super obvious its raul but as soon as I get it back, im raul-ifying. Here's the sketch so far and then im gonna transfer it to canvas while im at work.

Ngl I mainly did this cause I wanted to paint the face part, when I got to the hat I got so peeved trying to draw it just from photo reference I loaded up the game and took his hat just so I could examine in inventory and angle it the way I needed lmao.

Hancock headcanons

Headcanons under the cut. Plus- my visual rendition of how I think of Hancock in my head!

* Still has some hair on his head, but like most ghouls, barely any and it’s patchy. What John does have, it’s blond, longer, and curly. His hair is brittle and dry, but when wet it becomes stringy and stretchy like bleach damaged hair does. Of the very little hair he has, it surprisingly has a firm anchor into his scalp, just as stubborn as the man himself, and he’ll often tie the remaining hairs into a ponytail in the back. Since they’re all various lengths, it’s never neatly in a ponytail, and he’s got more hairy on the top of his head, than he does on the sides or base of his skull. He’s got like a maximum of 12 hairs on his head.

* Has a gold tooth replaced in the front, the lateral left incisor. Idk doesn’t it just seem right? What’s that line he has? “Sexy king of the zombies?” Yeaaaa

*Wears a lot of rings. Getting punched by him hurts, as in jaw breaking-ly so. All those rings feel like brass knuckles when he takes a swing.

*He’s long and lanky, but not that tall for a man (like 5’6). While a lot of ghouls get their build due to the ghoulification process, the burns and radiation eating and melting most of the fat, tightly gluing the scars across their skin to the muscle- John has really always had the build he has now. Before becoming a ghoul, he had a little more pudge- barely so- but less defined muscles with some fat over his lower belly and flank. However, the scarring did take his nipples off. Think like how nipples can die off when recovering from top surgery. He’s got like flat and tight indentations that stretch across his pec where the nipple used to be.

*Ghouls tend to run in opposites of body temperature, either chilled to the bone or hotter than a fat belly stove. John is a part of the latter category- he’s a furnace. His skin is warm and dry, almost sickly feverish to the touch. His body heat doesn’t tend to bother him, that’s his own baseline, but when that nuclear heatwave rolls around- not being able to sweat through the scar tissue shrink wrapped around his body quickly becomes uncomfortable.
