I made my dnd character as a stardew character :D

+info about the process below cut

I modeled him using Sam pretty heavily as a reference, as far as mouth and eye shape goes (and also some of the colors). I also looked at Marlon and Caroline a lot for the general shapes of his hair!

Every canon stardew portrait has less than 52 colors in it, hence the big “46” in the corner marking how many colors I used up :D

I definitely got carried away with the shading on his hair, it’s way more complex than the game portraits but I had fun with it.

I took a lot of my own artistic liberties while still trying to stay true to the style, and honestly I might go back in and either make it closer to stardew or more my own style :3

Also shoutout to the pixel art scaler I used so that it wasn’t a tiny blurry 64x64 photo
