Wasn't always much for friends. I still don't have many. That's fine by me.

There's my rival, Kris. We've known each other for fourteen, fifteen years now. Been through a lot together.

She's a professor now, specializing in pokemon evolution: especially in matters of early/forced evolution.

She gets more patients than she should.

Of course, there's nothing like your rival, or someone you've known that long. But I've got another close friend, Nat. Met him three, four years ago.

I walk out of the fucking house one morning, and standing outside is this guy that my little brother told me about a few months ago that he and his best friend had to deal with being proxy to a cult or something. And he's got this black dragon I've never seen before, and he's talking to Ho-Oh on my roof--who I didn't even know had stopped by until I went outside--like it's nothing.

Confusion wouldn't begin to describe it. But I'd picked up some of the language at the time and have only gotten better since. The guy was travelling the world, apparently.

Eventually he went back home. We still keep in touch.
