What is this geeklurv thing?

Geeklurv is a match-making website built by geeks for geeks and other like-minded individuals. There will be no discrimination on geeklurv. Unlike some match-making sites that don’t cater to transgender, gay and lesbian, or non-cis folk our mission is to provide a safe, friendly environment for all.

  So you’re down with the LGBTQ crowd?

Yar!

  What if I’m cis and I’m not comfortable dating a trans* person?

That’s cool too. When we open the site up for use that will be a part of the initial questionnaire; if you’re not comfortable with dating a trans* person you simply say so when presented with the question. If you’re open to it, then answer in that way. 

  What if I’m asexual, gray-a, demisexual or nonsexual?

We have you covered as well.

  Will this cost me anything?

Short answer, NO. All the primary functionality of the site has been opened up to all free accounts including unlimited messaging. We’re currently in the process of re-vamping the site and adding some premium features for those who wish to purchase memberships.

  Are you going to offer any kind of deals for when you offer paid memberships?

Of course! If you follow us here, on facebook, or catch one of our cosplayers at a convention this year you can grab a coupon code, apply it to your account, and get a discount. Coupon codes will be stackable. So, for example, if you grab a 5% discount code from a cosplayer at one convention, a 10% code off our facebook page, a 15% code from our tumblr, and another 15% code from another cosplayer at another convention. Adding those to your account, in this example, will get you a 45% discount on any subscription purchase you may make.

Note: Some coupons may be single use, while others may last a lifetime.

What conventions are your cosplayers going to be at this year?

First up, we’ll have a few cosplayers at San Diego Comic Con. After that we’ll have cosplayers at Dragon*Con, Dallas Fan Days, and New York Comic Con. If we have any others we’ll announce them as soon as we can, but those are the only planned conventions this year.

I'm trying to sign up for the champion tier but i don't have a link or anything to it. How do i sign up?

Right now we have subscription tiers disabled as we're revamping the site and the subscriptions. With the inclusion of unlimited messaging you get all of the basic functionality needed to use the site without the need for a subscription.

Found out about you through A-Kon schedule, and I really like your philosophy regarding online dating. I signed up tonight and I noticed that users can only click one option for sexual orientation, but I identify as gray-A, straight, bi-curious and panromantic. Any thoughts on changing that section so we can choose more than one answer?

You know, I had considered separating out the sexual and romantic orientations, but I hadn't considered multiple sexual orientations. I'll need to think of the best way to do it (code-wise and displaying it in your profile), but I'm definitely cool with making the change. While I can't say when the change will be made, I will say that I'll put it down on my to-do list. Since I'm the only one coding stuff right now the biggest factor in rolling out improvements is finding time to code them, test them, then make them live.Thanks for the input though! I really appreciate it.

Hello! I just made an account on this website and I have no earthly idea how to work it....help? Dx I already have my profile made and everything, but I'm not sure how to change my tier or how to even navigate the website. Any help would be greatly appreciated! thank you! :)

You can navigate around via the top bar. The magnifying glass takes you to the search page where you can look at other profiles. The heart shows you alerts (i.e. people that hearted you recently, approved kink/messaging requests, etc.). The little chat box is your inbox. Your image brings up a menu to view your profile, edit your account via the account settings page, and logout.As for upgrading your account you can do that by clicking here. However, I will mention that with our Summer of Lurv campaign going on right now you can try out the site for free for the whole summer. So you don't have to upgrade your account now to experience 90% of what we have to offer.In regards to being difficult to navigate, the design we have in place was intended to be easy to use. Like you mentioned though, it can be a bit confusing. Some of the stuff I'm working on now will help fix things so it's easier to use and navigate around. Those updates should be coming out soon-ish, but with Dallas Comic Con, A-Kon, and a mini-vacation to New Orleans in the next 4 weeks or so those changes probably won't go out before then.
