I drew that two weeks ago for my Fine Arts test. Just thought I'd share it for today's post... I kind of messed up with the shadows didn't I?

So... about today... I practiced a bit of maths and continued reading 1Q84 by Murakami (almost halfway through it already). The rest of the day was spent on internet surfing lol... I sure know how to waste time. I have my maths exam on Tuesday!

I don't know why Nepali songs are becoming so popular suddenly haha... So I decided to practice maths with Nepali acoustics in the earphones! Nepali sounds so sweet ^_^

Hey there ヾ(＾∇＾)

It's a wonderful day. I can hear the sparrows chirping around, sometimes sitting near my windowsill. Though they never enter the room, but maybe someday they'll learn to trust me? But again, I don't want my books covered with bird droppings do I? ('^_^)

I've been feeling like I'm drifting apart from my family and friends. So, I guess I'll have to work on that. Although being lonely ain't so bad as long as you're not sad about it. My views.

I need to separate my academic life from personal hobbies and relationships too. And gotta stop thinking about crushes ha ha.

Hey guys! How are you all doing?

We had some slightly stormy weather here in Northeast India. But that's kinda nice since the temperature has reduced a bit. Can't express how humid and hot it can get here!

However the situation in the Eastern coast doesn't seem nice. Bengal has been hit by a massive cyclone called 'Amphan', as you might have heard. People are without electricity and there's been a lot of damage in both India and Bangladesh. And there's coronavirus on top of that. Uh...

Let's hope for the better.

Today's 7th May, the birth anniversary of the Bard of Bengal, Rabindranath Tagore (রবীন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুর). This day is celebrated by Bengalis all over the world as a mark of respect to the Nobel laureate for his immense contributions in bringing Bengali art and literature to the world's stage. He is the person who wrote the national anthems of India and Bangladesh, and brought the first Nobel prize to Asia.

How to celebrate?

Listen to Rabindrasangeet (রবীনদ্রসঙ্গীত, Robīndrosongīt) i.e. genre songs composed by Rabindranath Tagore.

Read the novels written by Tagore. For eg., The Home and the World, Gora, Chokher Bali...

Read his poems, like Where the mind is without fear, The Boat, Last Curtain...

That above is what I've been up to these days. That is, other than academic studies and YouTube video making. Oh, the lockdown has been extended here till 17th May.

Nothing special going on these days. I finished another Ayse Kulin book, 'Without a Country', it's about a German Jewish family who shifted to Turkey during Hitler's reign. At present I'm reading 'Life' by Lu Yao. It's about a school teacher from rural China who was fired from his job and then had to face hardships as a peasant..

COVID-19 all India Lockdown

Day 28

Hey guys! My book is officially out there on Amazon! Gosh, I've been meaning to publish something original for so long... couldn't have done all this without your support and encouraging messages, I swear. So, thank you😄

Actually another good thing happened, I got to chat with a good friend of mine, about Thai pop (not my kind of thing but nevermind) and learning Mandarin. So... that's great. I told her I can kind of understand basic Mandarin, which is obviously a lie😅, just to look cool you know. So, now I'm trying to learn Mandarin (I know I'm idiot to try learn so many languages in one go), so that the next time I meet her my lie won't be caught. TBH I attempted learning Mandarin two years back, I gave up 'cause of the tones... hmm...
