Update: Temp Hiatus

Been debating on whether or not to post this, but I decided to just so ya’ll know what’s going on. Right now I’m in Super Cram Crunch Mode bcs my board exam is coming up in less than a week and I’m woefully underprepared. My instructor suggested 12 hrs studying a day, so I literally have only a few extra hours to eat/take the occasional break. I’m really sorry to anyone following me, I feel bad about starting this blog and then immediately going on a sort of hiatus. 

I will say this. Granted I (hopefully) pass my board exam, I’ll give it about a day and then start answering asks/requests again. I’ll keep my askbox open for the duration of that time, so feel free to put in requests, just know that it might be about a week or so before I get around to it. Also I’m really sorry to anyone who submitted an ask recently. I definitely got it and I promise I’m not ignoring it, I’m just really stressed and don’t have any free time rn ^^; but I WILL get to answering it (again, if I pass my boards...ya’ll gotta pray for me or something because this is a basically life or death for me rn).

Soooo yeah, and again I’m really, REALLY sorry about this, I started this blog as a means to kinda cope w/ the stress and as a distraction but I’ve got less than a week until the big date.

My merman obsession is kicking in once again thanks to my friends coming up with headcanons for merman Urd, so I felt inspired enough to try and sketch him.

Look at this alluring beauty! He is such a perfect man, I’m not even able to capture it properly! Unlike the other mermen, I gave him a lot of rings and other accessories because I believe he is rather fond of shiny, golden decorations that come from above.

In the picture he is laying on the shore, relaxing in the pale moonlight and enjoying the cool breeze caressing the red and golden scales.

“I heard that Japan’s cherry trees are in full blossom right now. You shouldn’t let this opportunity pass by without taking at least a look at them, my Lord.” “Very well then. Will you accompany me today?” “Of course! I wasn’t planning on letting you go by yourself.”

Those two characters are my most beloved ones and I ship them way too much.

I believe that Urd needs someone in his life to always cheer him up and push him forward, a task that the bubbly and passionate Ky is more than suited to fulfil. Ky, on the other hand, needs someone who restricts him whenever he gets too reckless. They both have such different personalities, making them complement each other perfectly.

Please don’t kill my baby, Kagami. I can’t bear the thought of losing him.

I don’t know if requests are open, if they are not I’m sorry T-T, just ignore this one... If they’re can I get a Headcanon of Urd Geales with an adult/mature and really independent s/o, you know? Like the fatal woman type 😅😂, I would like to know how he would react to their lectures. Wound he be frightened or feel inferior? Would he follow their lead and do as his s/o please? Or would he push them back and put them in their place? Sorry if this is too much detailed and my bad English T-T

Headcanons for Urd with a mature/independent S/O

Firstly, Urd would probably prefer a S/O who’s more on the mature side and fiercely independent. Two qualities he values highly not just in a partner, but anyone he has to interact with in general.

Despite taking time off here and there to watch operas, he’s still the de facto ruler of all vampire kind, and technically the entire world in its current state. He also has all of Russia to govern, and even for someone who doesn’t need to sleep that’s a huge undertaking. He takes his own responsibilities and duties very seriously, so not having to coddle someone is a huge plus for him.

Regardless of whether his partner is human or vampire, he’s been around for a very long time, and there’s very little, hardly anything left in the world that can shake him.

Urd, being so high up on the food chain, isn’t easily cowed. At all. He’d let you lecture him on small things that are fairly inconsequential, partly for the novelty of it and because it entertains him from time to time to see you worked up. Partly because maybe he does kind of have a thing for being dominated.

However there are certain boundaries which you must not overstep. At least early on in the relationship. If you show a degree of level-headedness, he might appreciate your input on certain topics. Again, the fact that you’re quite independent and very mature helps a lot here.

I can’t say that Urd would ever feel frightened. By anyone or anything. He’s lived way too long and he’s far too powerful. For him to be afraid of someone or something, it’d have to be so earth-shattering that it would turn the very nature of his world on its head. I emphasize his because looking at the state of the world in OnS currently, he’s hardly fazed. So not just the world in general.

Unless you have some amazing power that can, idk, vaporize vampires (even a Second Progenitor) on the spot, chances of him being intimidated by you, regardless of whether you’re human or a vampire are very low.

He’s not against putting you in your place if he feels you overstep your boundaries. As patient and as tolerant compared to other vampires as he might be, he’ll still only tolerate so much.

But again, he’s not completely closed off to your suggestions or the occasional lecture. Whether he takes it to heart, depends though. If he’s in a decent mood and willing to humor you and let you take the wheel, he’s open to it and will follow your lead here and there.

Urd does somewhat enjoy these moments. As someone who everyone typically looks to for solving problems, help, advice, orders, its a refreshing breath of fresh air for someone to sit in the driver’s seat for once and take charge.

The burden of so many huge responsibilities weigh heavy on him from time to time, even if he never shows it to anyone, perhaps even to you. At least not explicitly. You can tell when he starts to grow weary and mentally tired from attending to all his duties, and watching opera as a means to relax just isn’t cutting it.

This is the perfect opportunity for you to step in and take charge, like lecturing him about his uniform being crooked or something else that’s small and easily remedied.

He might smirk and ask you to straighten it for him if it bothers you so much, enjoying your take-charge-attitude and dominance.

The fact that you aren’t meek and challenge him makes the relationship more exciting. While Urd might not appreciate unwelcome critiques about his leadership (and honestly how can you, when his territory is the most peaceful we’ve seen in OnS?) but if you criticize his taste in opera? Oh boy. Be prepared.

Urd would definitely enjoy it if you challenged him intellectually, as it provides a stimulus that’s rare but a welcome shift from the mundane boredom that all vampires experience. 

Shit talk his taste in opera? Call him a basic bitch for hosting Phantom of the Opera when you’re in bed together? That man’s never bottomed so fast in his undead life.

Shinya is a huge tease, and if you’re shy, its going to be x10 worse.

That being said, Shinya knows your limits and when to stop before taking it too far, but regardless expect A LOT of teasing from this man.

“Ah, y/n your face is so red~ you aren’t getting sick, are you?”

“Aw, but you’re so cute when you stutter like that~”

Can’t emphasize enough how much fun Shinya would have with teasing.

But also like mentioned before, he knows his S/O’s boundaries and limits and when to stop.

He would probably make a dedicated effort to getting you to be less shy/coming out of your shell a bit more.

Not that being shy is a bad thing! But he wants you to feel comfortable and confident about who you are. Also he’d probably be lowkey worried of someone taking advantage of your shyness or think you’re a push over.

Although being shy ≠ being a pushover, some people might view it as a weakness, especially with the current state of the world.

Shinya, having come from a ruthless, kill-to-live family, knows all too well how the powerful and cruel can exploit any, even perceived weakness.

Shinya knows that you’re capable of handling yourself, but he still worries regardless because even if he might not say it directly, his biggest fear will always be losing you.

Also think about missed opportunities! Shinya wants you to be able to get the most out anything, be it an event or situation, or just life in general.

He’d try to ease you into situations that are more social, like places with bigger crowds or where you have to speak up.

But that’s only if you’re on board with that sort of thing. Shinya is the type of person who would 100% respect his S/O’s boundaries and wishes, and if their shyness isn’t something that they want to work on or see as an issue, he’d be totally fine with leaving things as they were.

No matter what, he loves you for you, nothing else.

If you aren’t comfortable with going out or being in large, crowded spaces, he would probably suggest a simple date or night out at a small, quiet cafe that he frequents on his time off.

Or a simple stay-in date where he cooks for the both of you, followed by time spent watching your favorite movie or playing a game. 

Also, I should add that if ANYONE tries to bully you for whatever reason, that person will be sporting mysterious bruises and a noticeable limp for seemingly ‘no reason’.

Shinya usually doesn’t get attached to people, or tries not to because of his past, but once you work your way into his heart he is 100% devoted and loyal and 120% protective of you. Whether you’re an average person or a badass capable of wiping out a squad of vampires by yourself, Shinya will NOT tolerate anyone making fun of you or harming you in anyway, even if its not physical.
