Glancing over towards the now dirtied shirt, probably could fix it up with the right material and cleaning out the blood. The wonderful side effect of growing up in a rough area.

“ Can be… fixed… Need some.. Fabric and vinegar… “

The pain was TERRIBLE of course, but Kouki was prideful enough to silence himself as quickly as possible, head lowering as he let go of Shoji’s arm in an attempt to pretend everything was perfectly fine. Luckily, the worst of it was over now. All he had left to deal with was the throbbing of his head, and a dull burning sensation from the wound that was now disinfected. 

Still leaning against the wall behind him for support, he fully expected the other to up and leave again now that he’d played his part, but APPARENTLY he wasn’t done just yet...

             “Aha... Don’t tell me you plan on fixing that, too?”

At lest he’s more or less numb to the pain if that were to happen. One nod and without warning places the bandage over his wound. The disinfectant reaching the open wound just enough to sting. Waiting for him to dig his fingernails into his arm in doing so. 

Only good thing about the injury is that it wasn’t bad enough to require stitches or else this would of been longer.

There’s an immediate HISS of pain as the disinfected cloth presses against the wound, followed by a sharp exhale of air. The masked boy attempts to keep himself silent and still, but this was the best he could do; flinching as his nails dug into Shoji’s skin with the steel grip on his arm. 

As soon as he’s able, Kouki looks down at the wounded area with an almost IRRITATED growl; finding the aftermath of the attack most unpleasant. Not only was he hurt, but the clothes that were once a pristine white was now bloodied and torn. 

             “That was my favourite shirt, too.”

He can’t help but SHUDDER now that Jeon has finally decided to let go, one hand reaching up to touch at the bite with the tips of his fingers. Ah, so obnoxious. So bothersome. He’ll really have to give him a piece of his mind, sometime... 

            “Ahaha... You’re not my GUARDIAN, so what does it matter to you what I do in my spare time? Or maybe this is just another way for you to play hero without putting too much effort in? It’s kind of CUTE how you all pretend to care so much.”

He would of cleaned it up but fixing masks he didn’t have anything on hand for that. Possibly could wash it off but first things first is taking care of that injury the other has on his side. Looks like the bleeding at lest slowed down enough to be treated. 

“ Maybe… Except you… were in … Trouble… and I could… do something “

Like helping him out, that’s what a hero does and he’s pretty sure heros don’t leave people to bleed out. Pulling out a bandage, pushing the other’s shirt towards the side for better access to the wound. 

“ It’s.. Going to … sting “

The bandage has some disinfect on it to help clean the wound but its definitely going to sting

Shoji’s answer only felt him feeling more UNSETTLED -- his stubborn nature clashing against the reality of the situation. A lifelong belief that most heroes really didn’t give a damn as long as they achieved fame and fortune being proven wrong... at least to some degree. Someone like him... the last thing he’d ever expected was to be RESCUED by one of them. 

             “Aha... I hate this. I really hate this.” 

Breathing out a shaky sigh from behind the mask, Kouki’s voice hinted at a feeling of distress ever so slightly. Perhaps the adrenaline was finally starting to wear off. The wound at his side wasn’t so bad, but the STRESS was getting to him. Raising a hand to grasp at the other’s nearest arm, he was unabashedly ready to sink his fingernails in if the stinging of the disinfectant was too unpleasant. 

             “Let’s just get it over with shall we? For both of our sake’s.”

The serpent girl perked up at that. “Dessert? Sounds lovely! What do you feel like?” She asked curiously as she stepped up beside him. She moved and wrapped her arms around his own and began to lead him along the sidewalk so they could go find a proper place for dessert. Miyako had quite the sweet tooth herself, so the thought of having dessert first was completely okay to her. After she usually loved to drink hot chocolate and bake.cook in general. Sweets sounded perfect.

“Do you feel like crepes, ice cream, daifuku, dango…” She began to list off as she peered at the places around them. “We can either go to a cafe, or probably find a stand somewhere!” She informed him. “What does my friend feel like? I’m happy with anything! Actually though, a cafe might be safer because of the rain…” She murmured thoughtfully as she peered up lost in thought.

Ah, good. She hadn’t contended his unusual lunch choice, even going as far as to inquire exactly WHAT dessert took his fancy right now. Shifting his arm a little so it was easier for her to hold -- contrary to popular belief, Kouki rather enjoyed contact when it came to people he actually LIKED -- he followed alongside her, letting out a playful hum of thought. 

           “They all sound rather delicious, don’t you think?” 

It wasn’t too often he got to indulge in things like SWEETS. Given the option, he’d like to taste a wide variety of them right now, but his limited funds made that near impossible. Such a shame. 

           “I’m sure there’s a quiet little cafe around here somewhere. Shall we hide away in there for an hour or so, at least until this weather passes? The more food options and the less people, the better... aha.”

honestly the funniest thing to me is these two having this explosive start where theyre ready to throw hands 0.2 seconds after meeting each other, only for kouki to become this weird guy who just shows up sometimes to annoy her in an almost?? friendly playful sort of way??? i think once he finds out about her quirk a bit more and learns about her family, he’ll be extremely intrigued if only because they seem so similar (minus the physical fox aspects). he doesnt actually know who his parents are, and his grandmother never told him much, so i can totally see him asking if they might secretly be related in a completely deadpan way just to see what her reaction would be like. 

romantically??? i have a feeling they would be chaotic. not just for everyone else but each other, in the sense that she is training to be a hero, and kouki still has a prejudice against them that wont be shifted easily,,,, tread w care

out of anything i think i like the idea of some sort of kinship the most? hoyu fears falling in love and honestly kouki would struggle to accept those sort of feelings in his own way, so they’d be a bit of a disaster in that regard, but it’d be lowkey kinda cute for them to have a relationship that somewhat resembled that of siblings sometime in the future???  villains™ gotta look out for eachother in this world man

these two..... what can i say. there hasnt been too much interaction between them but honestly we always end up shipping together somehow no matter what huh?? no regrets

i think right now kouki’s emotions tend to flip flop between annoyance and awe when it comes to jeon. annoyed because he’s so unrelentingly bold, but despite how lazy and gluttonous jeon can seem, he’s still strong enough for kouki to find impressive. perhaps his feelings would grow more fond/attached if he got to see a sweeter side to him?? who knOWS.

Besides, he scattered enough of these first aid kits so that if someone were injured he could patch them up without having to go some adult. Less likely to have this leaked to anyone popular.

Flipping the first aid kit open to grab a bandage, disinfectant, and needle with thread in case the injury requires that, Shoji hands the mask back over to Kouki.

“ Couldn’t …. Leave … Behind “

Kouki couldn’t even muster the strength to argue any more. As much as he wanted to stick to his firm belief that he could handle himself just FINE, Shoji was apparently just as adamant to be a hero -- acting so nice, which in itself was a rarity for Kouki to experience. Perhaps that was what grated his nerves the most. 

After the other finished collecting supplies, he was soon presented with his mask; dirtied and a little cracked in places, but still in one piece. With a soft sigh, Kouki took it from him to cover his face with it once more. He’d be lying if he said he didn’t already feel a little better now his scars were hidden away. 

            “... Thanks. I guess.”

There was no guessing about it.

             “You know I’m not someone you should be helping, right?”
