I’m still having Deltarune Thoughts and I think it’s weird there’s no Grillby. Like I think this should be talked about more because Sans took over what was presumably Grillby’s bar, and the dogs that frequent the bar in Underale are criminals??

Grillby just feels like such an odd character to be missing from everything?? Dude has Official Merch but we’re 4 chapters in and we haven’t seen him at all. We have at least implications that Papyrus exists, but technically, we don’t have anything about Grillby other than a scratched out sign do we?? And if we can’t really read it, that sign could have said anything. Grillby could also be a contender for “the forgotten man” because everything really is going on just fine without him.

So uh.. Grillby not in Deltarune am I right? (I have not played 3&4 yet)

Haha... I have an idea...

Grillby has a sort of basement/cellar underneath the store that is accessed via a trapdoor in the back. A darkworld was made in said basement and he fell into it trying to bring down a box of drinks. The trapdoor fell and locked behind him. Sans never was able to get it open until now, he falls into it, Kris and Susie go looking for him, go in themselves, bada bing bada boom.

I'd imagine the place is very cold with plants and stuff growing all over, some spots are frozen over and there's ice patches in the floor sometimes, the ice is more present the deeper you go and the end is literally frozen over (the freezer where he kept the meats and stuff). There's no heat sources, Grillby is the only one. The further you go the colder it gets, the colder you are the slower you get, so you need to stay near the only heat source (Grillby) until you find warmer clothes.

You find Sans at the beginning and Grillby near the beginning, Grillby didn't wonder far when he first fell. He was there for a while but he lost track of time, sometimes sleeping for days on end or not being able to sleep at all, so he has no idea exactly how long he's been there. Grillby like.. immediately joins the team. Sans doesn't know Grillby at all, but Grillby does have some recollection of him, though its blurry. Its like everyone forgot Grillby the second he was transported to the darkworld. Grillby starts getting more scared the deeper you go or the more ice is present. He seems paranoid. You know its not worry of melting the ice since at the beginning he said (or signed) something that really couldn't make it a possibility. He also doesn't avoid areas with water/liquids at all. Theres more but I wanna work on them more... PLEASE send questions in...
