Ive seen this comparison a lot and it’s just ugh ok

Here’s why these two or like comparing kiwis and coconuts. Yes they both look brown and fuzzy but holy shit they are wildly different.

1) Harry Potter was written to be a child who has to do this who thinks he wants revenge who has been redirected and controlled his whole life by people who either think they know what’s best for him or just want him dead. Harry Potter doesn’t know what he wants because he’s only ever wanted a family. And sure he gets it kind of but after that it’s confusing so he’s easier to maneuver and manipulate.

2) Percy Jackson was written to be a child who can’t be controlled. He literally has adhd and dyslexia. He’s a kid who can’t sit still and won’t stay down. Percy Jackson has a family. He has his mom and sure gabe is a dick but he’s still in a better place than Harry. Percy also knows what he wants. He knows he wants to get rid of Gabe he knows he wants better for his mom. He has been in a place where he has been loved and hated he knows how to compare the two. He can see corruption and wants to change it.

Harry and Percy are wildly different because Harry wants to be loved no matter what he has to do. Percy knows what he has to do even if it involves losing love/favor.

When you get a new personality the only reasonable thing to do is find other people with your obsession and by that I mean fanfiction so anyway there I was scrolling through the tags on ao3 and Bam I found the best one it’s so ughhh and also I love the authors little notes that are so out of pocket and also all the dam puns are so dam amazing and also it fits into both cannons and also overprotective avengers like oml but anyway it’s called “Hydra? Like the monster?” By emmafrro and oml it’s amazing

Peter and Percy are classmates and partners for a project and th e avengers find out about Percy’s criminal record and also it’s updated recently and theirs only 5 chapters and I’m crying but I’m literally in love with it and it’s just ughhhhh I’m dying
