so I met the it cast at the con they were at yesterday but while I was waiting in line to meet them these two girls were by me and we were just chatting

and out of nowhere one of them starts flexing like ‘yeah I’m super Twitter famous in the reddie fandom’ and the other one was like ‘lol yeah she is’ and then they told me her username and Ive literally never heard of her before wtf I didn’t even ask I’ve never felt so embarrassed for both someone else and myself at the same time

1/2 Girrrrrrrrrl the amount of times that I’ve been chilling and binge reading some fics only to suddenly realize in the middle of one that it’s yours is unreal. This has been going on for two straight weeks. I literally am subscribed to your Florida roadtrip story and got an email update about it and was like “when the hell did I follow a Hannah story????” But when the next one came in I noticed the story and not the name and then finally put two and two together and was like “oh shit I’m dumb”

2/2 but then I had to go through your stories on AO3 and was surprised by just how many of your Reddie fics I’ve read and it’s been a whole mess for a while and long story short I’m on my usual binging shit and was halfway through your presidential election headcannons and just happened to glance up and notice it was yours and I was just like “damn got once again” I don’t know why this keeps happening but you’re pretty much my fav and I’ll finish strings attached soon I promise. 😬

Enemies-to-friends reddie AU? (For the headcannons please)

ok so this kinda ties in with a HC i’ve had for a long while and that is richie and eddie running against each other for class president modern au i guess 

Enemies to Lovers / Class President Reddie Headcanons 

So like they’re both in their junior year of high school right and it’s election season 

Eddie wants to run bc it’ll look good on college applications, and bc he wants to change so many things about Derry High bc it’s a mess 

Richie wants to run bc it’d be fun and he wants to add things like Pizza Fridays and legalize Heelys in the hallways 

And they really haven’t been able to stand each other ever since they met like in first grade

Eddie thinks Richie is obnoxious and loud and wouldn’t take being president seriously

And Richie thinks that Eddie is rude and boring and just annoying bc he’s always complaining about something 

So when they find out they’re competing against each other it’s like …. 😡😡

And when they have presidental debates it’s FIRE like they keep bickering and Stan who is the moderator is like ….get me outta here 

And Richie thinks it’s hilarious to draw dicks on Eddie’s campaign posters in the hallways – Eddie reports him and gets him detention for it 

And when Richie’s in detention you better bet Eddie’s smirking at him through the window in the door like 😏

But Eddie refuses to drop out of the race and unfortunately for Richie there are actually a good amount of students who side with him and like his plans to make the school better 

So Richie devises a plan to make Eddie drop out of the race: he’ll ask Eddie out after school to “talk strategy” when in reality he just plans on charming/tricking Eddie into dropping out

It’s a fool proof plan my dudes 

So he asks Eddie and Eddie agrees, but he’s suspicious 

So Richie goes to pick him up after school and Eddie’s dressed in a nice button up shirt tucked into his pants to look “professional” 

And Richie was not? Expecting him to look so nice? Dare he say?? Cute?? 👀

And they like go to get food and the whole time Richie is flustered bc he’s suddenly noticing Eddie’s smile and freckles and how nice his hair is and he’s actually really funny and sarcastic and they like the same music and games 

And Eddie notices how Richie is pretty sweet when he’s not being a dick and he’s suddenly appreciting Richie’s smile and freckles and how Eddie actually likes how messy his hair is and he’s actually really funny and sarcastic and they like the same music and games 

Also Richie holds the door open for him and pays for his food so like what the fuck is happening 

And after they finish hanging out Eddie texts Bill and Richie texts Bev like “did i just go out on a date with him????” 

And oh no 😱they start to catch feelings!!!!

They share a couple classes together and start sitting by each other during them and talking a lot 

And when Eddie hosts a bake sale to promote his campaign Richie buys like so many things 

Eddie’s like ‘you’re gonna get diabetes’ and Richie’s like ‘all this shit still isn’t as sweet as you lol’ and Eddie is like ‘what’ and Richie is like ‘what’ 

And when Richie brings in pizza to promote his Pizza Fridays campaign Eddie helps him set up and clean up 

And everyone notices that during debates they get a lot less mad at each other and just talk back and forth like normal people and sometime make each other laugh 

and literally what the fuck is happening 

and one time Richie is handing out buttons and Eddie places his hand on his shoulder as he takes one and Richie can’t stop thinking about it for days 

and eddie literally daydreams about kissing him on the regular whoops 

and one day they both wake up and decide to drop out of the race 

they meet up after school and tell each other they dropped out and they’re both like ‘wait wtf’ 

and eddie is like ‘why did you drop out?’ 

and richie is like ‘because you deserved to win’ 

‘but YOU deserved to win’

and they realize they’re both big dummies who dropped out bc they’re boys with crushes

and they KISS 

and the only other canditate is Mike so he wins by default but it’s what he deserves

Richie and Eddie both teach the same grade, Richie’s class is one half of the students, Eddie’s class is the other

Eddie thinks Richie doesn’t take things serious enough because he’s always goofing off with his kids, but they love him and he’s actually really good, Eddie realizes 

Like he’ll see Richie playing kickball and shit with his class on the playground and his kids think his shitty voices are hilarious 

And Eddie is like …. hmm 

And Richie loves how passionate Eddie is about everything … he usually goes out of his way to schedule ‘accidental’ run-ins with Eddie in the teacher’s lounge and cafeteria just so he has an excuse to talk to him 

And they usually wind up sitting by each other during staff meetings and shit because they’re both snarky af and can whisper shit to each other 

Richie always wears dorky-patterned button-up shirts with the sleeves rolled up and you better bet that Eddie’s checking out those forearms like 👀

Myra is another teacher at the school and the rest of the staff acts like Eddie and Myra are the Jim and Pam of the school but Eddie is like ((leave me ALONE)) 

Richie finds out from other teachers that Eddie and Myra are supposedly a thing so he gets all ): 

But then Eddie complains about all of it to him later and he’s all (: again 

One time Eddie is making photocopies in the teeny copy station in the teacher’s lounge and Richie needs to reach something on the shelf above it so he just leans right against Eddie like ‘sorry lol’ and Eddie can’t b r e a t h e 

One time Richie invites Eddie over one night to “work on lesson plans” but then when Eddie comes over it’s just Richie sitting at the dinner table with like candles and wine and shit like [:

If they did talk about their lives offscreen, I personally don’t see Eddie as being the type to bring up her weight.

This means that there’s an alternative theory in which they were hanging out and Richie was all “so man so you should like totally lemme see a pic of that wife of urs bro lol” and Eddie pulled out his phone and Richie had to lean in close to see and they were all huddled together

And maybe Richie grabbed his phone afterward and started scrolling through Eddie’s camera roll while Eddie’s trying to get it back all 🤬🤬!!!

I haven’t made an edit in forever so 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️. I remember that I used photoshop psd’s that I’d find on resource blogs like from @itsphotoshop. If you just have your phone/don’t have photoshop, I use apps like ColorStory for my personal Instagram.
