I haveth returned after a long time since my Shoji phase is back. Yay :)

Ok so I was thinking abt the panel where Shoji said that his parents didn't have arms like his, meaning that they did not have such strong heteromorphic traits like him. Now we know the town he grew up in was a terrible place for heteromorphs. We also know that Uraraka is the only person in 1A who is really suffering from poverty. All these facts together show me personally that his parents really did not love this boy too much. They could have moved away from that village and Shoji would not have been almost killed in a "blood cleansing" because he had touched that little girl SAVING HER. They clearly decided to stay there, regardless of the way their son was being treated. The poor kid. He went trough all that and did what a whole mob and especially Spinner did not have the strenght to do: He chose the path of a hero. I find Shoji so incredibly strong for all of that.

So this is where my new hc comes in: So 1. Fukuoka is basically on the other side of the country from UA. 2. Shoji has nothing in his dorm room. What if the boy had to rent a room somewhere in Tokyo and could not take anything with him because of that? We know that he took the futon because beds don't really work with his body. But nothing else, seriously?

If the dorms were already equipped with stuff before, Shoji might not want anything because he could have been taught that people like him (heteromorphs) do not deserve any of that or something. Another hc of mine is that the boy only had a very small room as a child. (Harry Potter under the stairs style) and that space never let him have anything but a bed. Otherwise he would have felt claustrophobic with his arms needing space and him not getting that.

I think of his way too much but the stuff we know about him now just gives me so many ideas. :)

MHA Headcannons, part 1

I headcannon that Shoji and Bakugo both share the interest in reading romance books. Even though it’s canon that Bakugo does, I’d still like to believe that Shoji does too. 

Also, I will also headcannon their types. There will be some dark content, but I think you guys will manage. 

…

Like, think about it: Bakugo may be reading books about the protagonist falling fot a brutish, hot tempered boy. Or just-just something in that direction.

Actually, yeah, I find it really funny that some people will be like "I wish this minor character gets some spotlight" or "ugh, I'm tired of the protagonist, he's so irrelevant".

But the moment a minor character does get the spotlight it's "this chapter is boring" or "I don't like it".

Don't beg and then complain.

Look, sometimes a story probably doesn't deliver. But don't think it didn't just because there "wasn't any action" or "I didn't see my blorbo".

Showing a character's compassion is BORING? Showing a character's trauma is BORING?

Just say you wish you saw your blorbo shirtless.

Like come on, if you really think Shoji's backstory is boring and him getting comfort from his classmates is boring, yeah don't come over here.

Because, you know what else? If you want people to have sympathy for the villains, don't think it's unnecessary or boring that a character like Shoji gets the spotlight and is shown being gentle even though people treated him like some monster. Just because Todoroki or Bakugou or whatever popular character didn't show, doesn't mean this chapter was "boring" when it shows just how HUMAN a CHILD is.

At the end of the day, Shoji and his schoolmates have been thrown into a situation they don't deserve to be in. Society has failed them, too. And yet, they still choose to be HEROES.

What Shouji Said and What It Might Mean

Okay okay so hang on here. Let me break this down and make sure I’m getting this right based on this pov switch in the story so far

And… yeah. I mean, what does it have to do with the heteromorph’s cause? From what the PLF guy says, he talks about people killing them “for being gross”, talks about the Heroes not being THEIR Heroes (all good reasons to want change and justice), and that Spinner will lead the way to the “center of this society”, to the revolution

But this is in no way helping the cause when this is just violence. It’s all violence and of course I know why. The hatred from the heteromorphs has been growing over time, over years; ever since there have been heteromorphs, that hatred has been shared and has been building until the breaking point (this battle here being the breaking point)

Of course they are furious. Of course they want to do something about it. If the Heroes won’t, who will? They will

!Manga spoilers ahead!

Oh god now that his face got revealed and we will probably get a bit more backstory for him my brain decided to send another Shoji hc to me. Why??

Anyways it was about his discrimination scars.. You know how it's canon that he hides his face because it made a little girl cry and he didn't want to be the cause of anyone's sadness? Well what if, after she cried, a big brother or maybe even her father came to the "rescue" and slashed Shoji's face with the reasoning of "justice" or some sh*t? And what if, after that (when he was recovering aka. the panel of young Shoji with bandages on his face) he saw that he had to take matters into his own hands and prove everybody wrong about him and other heteromorphs being villains, become a hero?

For that alone he is stronger than most characters in the manga because as we see now, most of the people who faced quirk discrimination saw no point in trying anymore and resorted to being villains or at least joining Spinner in the "revolution" and even though they called Shoji a traitor and said they'd k*ll him, he stood his ground and thought of the patients in the hospital before anything else.

He is a true hero and deserves every respect. He is one of the most gentle, heroic, just, kind, respecful and strong characters in not only this but also many other animes ..and he is a kid, the youngest in his class! Nobody, in my eyes, reaches him on these levels.

So, many people who do bnha sexuality headcanons say that Shoji is aro/ace.

My thoughts just went: "What if Shoji only states he is aro/ace because he can't see anybody ever wanting to be in a relationship with him while looking the way he does?"

Ok but why did I have the thought that in the scene where the dance group meets Eri for the first time and everybody goes up to her to greet her, Shoji just stays at the back because he's afraid he might scare her? Do I think about him too much? Is it just me?

You all know Deku has been told he can't be a hero all his childhood and we all think it's sad but just think that Shoji has probably been told the same thing just as many times and in addition he was/is labeled a villain just because of the way he looks. Like Spinner became a villain for exactly that reason and Chimera even called out on it. I think Shoji is so strong to keep the ambition to become a hero.

Mezō Shōji With a Very Bubbly GF Who Sings!

Honestly, so many people will probably argue with me, but I can fight, so here goes nothing: Mezō probably adores having an extroverted, bubbly girlfriend who can't stop talking. There. I said what I said.

What with him being such an introvert who only ever speaks when necessary, having an extroverted s/o really helps him out.

You often find yourself ordering for him - which confuses many strangers around you - or speaking on his behalf if he's feeling especially shy.

Wait, but ordering for this boy is so cute oh my god. Just imagine standing in the queue, waiting for your turn to put in your order. Right before you reach the front, your sweet, huge boyfriend leans all the way down to your ear and tentatively whispers an innocent:

"Could you please order for me, love?" he starts twiddling gingerly with your fingers, careful not to hurt you.

"Of course, Mezō," you smile gently at him, reassuring him that it's okay for him to ask these things from you. He smiles back (or, you detect the smile from his eyes) with a soft blush, and that's enough to show you just how grateful he is to have you as his girlfriend.

Everyone's giving you either cute or weird stares, cause you can only imagine how it looks with this giant of a boy looming behind you with two of his large hands placed on your shoulders as you order your food with a bright grin plastered on your face. The contrast is evident wherever you go.

Also, let it be known that Mezō absolutely lives for your singing voice. If you're just walking around, singing or humming while minding your own business, expect to be followed around by him.

Every time he hears you singing, he likes to close his eyes and relish in the sound of your voice. He finds you so perfect and beautiful in every single way, and this is no exception.

When you two are cuddling - you know, you curled up on his lap, palm resting on his chest above his heart so you can feel each beat. Him cradling you to his torso, ever so slightly rocking you, almost lulling the both of you to sleep. His nose nuzzled in your hair, a kiss planted every now and then. His hands holding you close, keeping you warm and occasionally twirling a stray strand of hair around his index finger. You know.

Anyway! When you two are cuddling, sometimes he'll ask you to sing to him if he's a bit sleepy or feeling soft or whatever it is. Give him what his lil heart wants.

Most of the time when you do sing to him while you're cuddling, he'll fall asleep to the feeling of your soft voice vibrating against his chest. Plus, your voice soothes him better than anything else can.

Since you're real chatty, you've helped him develop his listening skills a whole lot. You know that thing that's like 'talks a lot' and 'listens'? Yeah, that's you and Mezō.

You've basically become the cutest couple of 1-A, cause everyone finds your interactions super sweet. You're always making jokes or telling him all about the latest thing on your mind, and he's always there, listening with eager eyes and nodding along to everything you say. He's just so mesmerised by you.

He was a bit apprehensive about taking off his mask in front of you for the first time, since he knew you were an excitable person, so he wasn't sure how you'd react. When he did for the first time, it was such a personal moment that brought the two of you much closer to each other.

It happened about two weeks after you started dating, and after much asking and pestering on your end. Until then, you had been showering him with kisses only on his cheeks, hands, forehead and wherever else you could find.

You still made sure to tell him that it was important that he felt comfortable when he eventually decided to show you his face. And he did. But his flushed face told you otherwise.

He reluctantly peeled his mask off, pupils glancing off to the side in an effort to avoid eye contact. Once it was hanging around his neck, your eyes widened for a few moments, taking in how utterly pretty he was to you. You scanned his face with awe, taking in the beauty of each of his features in full now that you could see all of him. He was - and this is an understatement - gorgeous to you.

He loves you so so much. Mezō would literally never trade you for anyone in the world, and it shows.

He was very excited when you first met his parents, and it went really well, actually. They liked you and found your personality beneficial to Mezō coming out of his shell.

He takes you on the nicest little dates. Summer carnivals, flowery gardens, scenic parks and for special occasions: candlelit dinners at your favourite restaurant(s).

He brings you flowers regularly to show his appreciation and love for you, because he knows that he probably doesn't express himself as much as he would like to, and you're constantly voicing the fact that you care for him a lot.

Anyway, Mezō love love loves you to a degree which I cannot type up. So, yeah, you two are perfect for each other and never change the way you are cause he would never if he got the choice.

Lots (and I mean LOTS) of movie nights. It's the perfect date for you, really. You get to talk and talk about how much you're enjoying the movie and how great the characters and plot are, and he gets to fall in love with you even more while watching a cool production. Everyone wins!!

Nicknames he would call you include: love, sweetheart, angel. This guy loves you to a fault.
