Bronze Statue of Artemis and a Deer

Artemis is the Greek Goddess of hunting, the wilderness and wild animals, as well the Goddess of childbirth, and the patron of young girls. Twin sister of Apollo, she has occasionally been attributed as being the Goddess of the Moon, but that is only in relation to her brother, God of the Sun. Her patron animals are the deer and the bear, and she is most often depicted with her sacred symbol, the bow and arrow.

The Robin Wood Tarot: This deck holds the energy of a caring mother, dealing out steady and grounded advice. It inspires courage and strength. It cannot connect to the divine but is rooted in the Earth element.

The Llewellyn Tarot: This deck is an advisor, and usually handles questions to do with spiritual, emotional, or material gain. It is a good judge of character and warns against which assumptions. Do not be afraid if it gets real with you. Cannot connect to the divine.

Third slide: (two more tarot deck. The first one is inspired by art nouveau, with a swirling, almost organic border. It depicts a woman dressed in a high necked teal dress, holding a gold book. It is titled, "Ethereal Visions: Illuminated Tarot Deck". The second deck shows geometric patterns of triangles and circles, with the sun and moon at the top, split down the middle, It's titled, "The Field Tarot") Ethereal Visions: This deck reflects your inner self back at you. It speaks kindly, but firmly. Listen with trust and an open mind; all the wisdom you seek is within yourself. You may not understand at first, but will come to in time. This deck holds a masculine energy, and can connect to the divine, but has never designated any specific deity. The Field Tarot: This deck deals in nostalgia and innocence, so it may often bring up the past when being consulted about the future. It encourages enjoying the beauty of life and believes heavily in self care. It loves big and difficult questions. This deck can connect to the goddess Aphrodite. Fourth slide: (Final two tarot decks. The first one shows the Eye of Horus on a backdrop of gold leafing, titled, "Tarot Nefertari". The second deck shows a woman with dark hair, dressed in white and adorned in gold jewelry, holding an Ankh aloft with one hand. It is titled, "Tarot of Sacred Feminine")

Tarot Nefertari: This deck is short and to the point. Listen with love and decisiveness as it reminds you that not all your plans are going to go right the first time around. It is here to protect you, almost like a bodyguard, and pick you back up when you fall. It can connect to the divine feminine energy of the earth, but has not named a specific deity.

Tarot of Sacred Feminine: This deck speaks with rationality and skepticism, almost like a seasoned warrior. It values independence, and begs you to listen with clarity and focus to its words. Can possibly connect to the goddess Nyx.

The Eight Sabbats part 1

Note: please let me know in dms or in the comments if I missed something, or got something wrong! My point of making posts like these is to inform, but sometimes my research and information can be incorrect itself! Please let me know! <3 Part 2 is coming out soon.

The eight sabbats/the wheel of the year are holidays around the year, generally celebrated by pagans, witches, or wiccans. The sabbats/holidays divide the year into eight equal parts that mark the beginning and mid-points of each season. *The pictures included are not mine*

Solstice: The time (happens 2x a year) in which the sun reaches it's maximum/minimum destination. Marked by the longest and shortest days. June 21st and December 22nd.

Equinox: The time (happens 2x a year) in which the sun crosses the celestial equator, when day and night are at equal length.

Yuletide - December 21st-January 1st

Yuletide (yool - tide) or Yule takes place on the winter solstice, the shortest day and the longest night of the year. This is a time of joy as it is the starting point for light to enter the world again. Yule is a great time for home magick, personal magick, family quality time, and celebration. Short days of work and long nights of dreaming. Set intentions, make new plans, appreciate your work of the seasons before this.

Common traditions with Yuletide is to light candles on December 20th (Mid-Winter's Eve) to herald the return of the Sun. Another, the Yule log. Which is burned (often in a fire place) to represent the light that can be found in darkness. A piece of the log is traditionally saved to start the new year's fire.

Themes- Introspection, hope, rebirth, reflection, family, transformation, celebration.

Symbols- Bells, evergreen, gifts, ivy, mistletoe, wreath, yule log.

Colors- Gold, green, red, silver, white.

Food/Herbs- Apple cider, cinnamon, egg nog, gingerbread, nuts, pine, roast beef, rosemary, sage, wine, wintergreen.

To do- Burn Yule log, decorate, tell stories, wrap presents, spend time with family, burn a candle.

Good spells- Hope, happiness, love (not necessarily romantic), friendship, peace, bonds, prosperity.

Magical Symbols.

Symbols are a huge part of any earth-based practitioner’s arsenal. Symbols can be used to infuse energy by means of inscribing them onto candles, leaves, spell pages, etc. They can be used to draw energy when painted or drawn on the body, on stones, or on talismans, etc. Above is a guide of several symbols used in modern paganism as well as symbols representing certain paths or faiths.
