I don't know which show you watched, but Viktor has literally never shown abusive behavior, especially to Jayce. He isn't flawless as a character, he has shown cowardly behavior in a few scenes, he is a perfectionist to a fault (hence the whole glorious evolution plotline). But never has he abused Jayce. I have no clue where you got this from. And before you say something like "read my posts" - i have and they are absolute and utter horse shit.

Like, he's shown manipulating Jaycee on multiple occassions? Forcing him into shit he's not comfortable with, pushing him away when he starts to have a life outside Hextech (for the first time in years, given the dependency Viktor was fostering). An alternate version literally left Jayce in a ravine to suffer. For months. He was physically violent with him in the council room and below the hex gates. There's tons more examples I could use, but I have a feeling you won't even read this. Thus, I won't waste my breathe.

However, I *do* live in a majority-white country, and Asians are considered a minority here. And even in Arcane itself, it seems to be the same, with the only Asian characters we see being Caitlyn and her father (Cassandra looks very white, but the portraits of her ancestors all depict Asian women).

I'm not sure if you've considered this, but in addition to everything you have said criticizing Viktor, I think the fact that Jayce got blamed for Viktor's experimentation with the arcane is worth noting. It's possible that Viktor spreading Sky Young's ashes in Zaun's main water source is what caused the corruption on Ekko's tree, which grew because of that water. Jayce then had to deal with the blame from Ekko because Viktor had left.

Even with his abuser gone, Jayce has to face the repercussions of his selfishness.

I think the pollution was also due to the Hexgates, which was a joint effort, but scattering the ashes of someone who was killed by the Arcane into the waterways of Zaun was *so* fucking thoughtless oh my god. Like, I can't think of a way in which Viktor would have been explicitly aware that the arcane was killing the Firelight's tree, but he was literally there when the hexcore killed that fucking plant, he should have at least taken five fucking seconds to consider whether he wants to put something which has been touched by that same thing into, as you said, ONE OF ZAUN'S MAIN WATER SOURCES is just-

And yeah. Jayce played his part with the hexgates, but *Viktor* was the one who went into experimenting further with the arcane itself. He is the only one we see around the hexcore, and it's pretty clear he doesn't give a shit about his own city.

"I'm from the Undercity," and he's referring to it by the name it's oppressors give it, the name that literally states it's people are LOWER that the Piltovans, and pollutes it with abandon. He gives me the vibes of a tech bro who's balls-deep in AI investment, I'm sorry 😭

As for leaving Jayce to face the consequences of his actions, that is undoubtable. My personal theory is that his blood is what allowed the Wild Rune to - well, maybe not quite *form*, but it certainly allowed it to mutate into what it became. And the pollution, two thirds of the probable causes are his fault as well. And it's *Jayce* who is left to deal with this, while his supposed "partner" fucks off to Zaun to found a cult which probably pollutes the place even further 😭

Like, Jayce is not 100% blameless here, he is partially responsible for the Hexgates, but by the time Viktor started getting really into fucking around with the hexcore, he was a councilor and busy with all the duties that would entail. To be quite frank, I think Viktor started getting into the arcane stuff just to push Jayce away and hurt him for perceived rejection. NOT ALL OF THIS IS HIS FAULT and I was cringing the entire fucking time Heimerdinger and Ekko were acting like it was. Like, they didn't have the full context, but it hurt so bad to see Jayce being blamed for his abuser's actions when he was clearly still upset from said abuser just fucking abandoning him after spending more than a decade fostering dependency.
